Nah, I get three of those every week or so. It's not just happening to any one person, I figure it's all the "old" accounts that are still active.

Incidentally, I got sick of these things and decided to make a new account for primarily this very reason.

*clings to Anetra* I already investigated to see if you'd been hacked. xd I was all like, "Who the #*&% is this clocktock person that's taking all of her things?!" scream Me was worried about you! crying
I don't know if having a new account is going to keep them from trying to force your account though...they seem to have made a bot to keep trying account after account after account...probably just running through the entire member list by member ID.

Heh, yeah. The hack attempts were one of many reasons, I figured if they were just attacking the older accounts and leaving the recent ones alone it would work out. But if not, I've recently grown very attached to "clocktock" as a username over other mediums anyway.
I'm sure the trade logs looked very bizzare, too, with transfers of like... 7 gold at a time and a bunch of useless random items twenty times over, hahahaha. If it was a hacker they probably looked unreasonably thorough, "... and Iiiiii'll take that lego block."
I got way too many of those emails, though! It was crazy. I'd registered the clocktock name a while ago to just kind of ... reserve it if I decided to switch usernames, though at the time I'd figured I'd just null out it's name and rename my own account. But then I checked my email one day and I had like seven of the "your account has been temporarily blocked" emails and I was just like "Okay that's it."

Well, I'm sure I didn't have to permanently move. I doubt the brute force password-guessing would have gotten them anywhere, but I'm hoping I'll get less annoying emails with a super recent account.
Also "Anetra" is still definitely an acceptable form of address!

I doubt they're even after items...probably just trying to spread fear and be annoying by locking people out of their accounts...and it's working so very very well. crying ********.
