High power assult riffles would disintigrate the silver bullets in the air.

lead is a common choice for ammunition because its denisity is good, but for high power riffles it has to be encased by steel or copper etc in order for the bullet to reach the target.

Can we ignore this law of physics?

And the metal density thing?

Why not use the 'Underworld' fix and use tracer rounds filled with silver nitrate, or shards of silver if you'd prefer not to use a liquid. and if niether of those work, what the hell, feel free to bend that law of physics and metal density.

I never actually saw underworld.

Tracer rounds... Hmm....That actually is more feasible but less posible.

Hey, do you know a masquarde reference site?
PostPosted: Tue Nov 29, 2005 10:24 am

not really. I own 2 books and the Book of Nod, that I use. I take liberties with it though. I woudl say first look to White Wolf, the makers, and see what you can dig up from there. or look up clan names on google, those being:

Venture
Brujah
Assamite
Setite
Toreador
Nosferatu
Gangrel
Tremere
Lasombra
Tzimisce
Malkavian

Or look up the sects:
Camarilla
Sabbat

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

Or that game...

I searched a few things along those lines...

And I have read, unfortunately, V the Darkage... Stupiest book ever. Not just because I hate vampires... Just... bad.

I'll try the sects.

In the game, as far as I can tell, they used normal issue weapons.

WW seems to rely on supernatural abilities as far as I can tell.

I mostly go by just the oringal Vampire: The Masquerade. I really dislike Requiem, and the dark ages. yeah. they used modren weapons, adn vampires have supernatural powers. liek Celerity, which was vampiric speed, being used to rapid fire nonautomatic weapons...fortitude, strengthneing thier bodies to resist bullets ro melee damage, shapeshifting(protean), cloaking (Obfuscate)...Dominate was teh forcing obediance through eye contact dracula trick, Presence being the envoking emotions thing.

Though melee combat is used to, particularly for wooden/silver stakes type thing.

also, in teh game, only fire/sunlight/supernatural things really hurt vampires. silver didn't do diddly, but I didn't want all teh baddies that weren't immortals (since I was hoping for some mortal hunters) to have something more than fire to really use.

And of course V:tM sister game, Werewolf: the Apocalypse deals with weres and thier shapeshifting/shamanitsic powers.

^^

You'll certainly love it later Miss Stars.

Requim seems to sit more accurately with the TTB setting than Masquearde does.

This is why I hate vampires.

They have so many weaknesses that they don't have to worry about because they are so over powered. Hell, I can't see why it is not godmoding to steal an military bomber and nuke a city given the avalibility of the materials. The americans don't store their nukes armed (suposedly) but the Russians certainly did. And since the collapse of the Red Army, the avalibility of their arms on the open market is greatly feared. Since aquiring an american bomb would be more time consuming that simply raiding a russian factory...

Then again, why on god's green earth would the vampire culture allow that! They probably would set up vampiric sentries with the sole purpose of keeping the nukes under a watchful eye.

There goes stealling a bomb with little effort, now you can't do it alone because they are protected. But what if you go as a group?

What is to stop them? Internal anti-vampire defenses?

No, those wouldn't work. They would bring enough cannon fouder to dismantle the traps. Or use up the amunitation resersves.

So, in order to protect the bombs, entire clans have to be functioning in a defense manner. So, to get a bomb, you would need a larger clan.

Considering that vampires don't like to die or waste food supply, the stealing of nuke is not feasible because the orginization would deem it too risky for the health of the clan as a whole and the food source.

Rrrrah.

THis is reminding me too much of Legacy of Cain. The vampires supress the humans in battle and enslave the survivors and have them worship the vampires as gods.

Real source of Az's angst: His knowledge of modern weaponry does not extend passed his knowledge of Golden Eye (N64).

All that just to ask, "How supernatural is TTB?"

And is TTB related to the vidiogame with that same name?
THe one about the guy who fights a demon for some reason, I think he was a vampire too, I only noticed the name and read a brief advertisement for it.

After re-reading this post, I have realized that I might give you the impression I am a gamer... not really. My knowledge of games is limited to my interactions with people who play them. So, some of my memories might be wrong, being over five years old.

BTW: A bullet wound is partially 'burned' by the friction of the bullet entering the body. Any normal bullet would do an insubstantial amount of fire damage to a vampire hit by it, using this theory, is it possible to kill a vampire by unleashing hell on it with basic assult riffles?

Wow Az, no one would guess from that that you even liked vampires a little.

Problem: Three vampires verses one.

Solutions: Better weapons and armour.

--> Vampires are weak against Silver, Sunlight and Fire.

--> Silver bullets is a common cliche in killing vamps and weres.

--> Sunlight is not overly feasible, as it would destroy my vampire.

--> Bombs make big fires, grenades work too. (MK19)

--> More powerful explovies cover a larger area, preventing vampire speed from saving asses.

--> Capture one.... if possible.

--> LOL LOL LOL. If a vampire doesn't want to be caught, he wont be. How? They are too knowledgable to be tricked, to parinoid to be manipulated.

--> Big fires. What makes big fires...

--> What is better than big fires...

--> Limited knowledge of modern weapons, refer to RTS games.

--> Hydrogen bombs. Nuke em.

--> How could I do that? By ...

--> Altenatives. Waiting for an opertun time to use smaller arms. Need to out think three....
>>Itallians (Because That is what Alaric was told); 1400's and 1600s. The 1600s was not a good time for italians, as their economies fell behind the other major european powers because they did not have the access to china that the other powers were gaining, and the overland trade routes became less profitable, which means the cities were in decay. Not to mention the numerous invasions of France and spain, and the growing power of the papal states.... 1400 italy, time of wealth and prestige. Power.
