Queen of the Blue Twins Wasn't he the lead singer of the Monkees? The original tv boy band in the 60's. They were all actors that became an actual group because of the show they played on. *going to google it to make sure* [There's a killer on the road...]
My mommy told me the Monkees didn't write, play, or sing their own stuff. surprised

I don't think my mom liked them too much. I dunno. She probably liked that song "Daydream Believer" I think it was called.
She was a teenager in the eighties, so she likes eighties stuff more than anything. razz

Yumijo CrazyRob Yumijo Anything at the moment. *nods.* Everywhere I go they ask me to. *shrug* But yeah.. @.@ I always have mine combed back in a ponytail, so you don't usually see how long it is unless you're not facing me. When I go in for interviews, I have it pulled back pretty tight. I only let it hang when I'm just messing about. I still don't know what people's thing about long hair on guy's is.. I look like crap with short hair, but that's just judging from my I.D.. <.<;; I think guys look better with long hair. At least some guys. It drives me absolutely crazy when a guy with long hair cuts it. ;.; I dunno. XD I'm just weird I guess. Now some guys look terrible with it, depending on the hair cut and stuff, sometimes it looks really icky, I've seen a few guys like that. But if they take good care of it and it's not all nasty looking then I think it looks really good. I think if a guy takes good care of it, there's no reason they shouldn't be hired. I know I'll never let my boyfriend take a job that would force him to cut his hair. I don't think he would either. He hates having short hair, and thinks he looks bad with it. I've actually never seen him with hair much shorter than to his shoulders.

Your mom is sorta right. Like I said they were just really actors. They did sing the songs, but they didn't write or play any of it. Later two of them learned to play the guitar but never well enough to do it before the group died out. 3nodding

Kiss in Digital thefurnace CrazyRob Er...what kind of job are you trying to go for? People told me I'd have to cut my hair if I wanted a job in the "real world" but I told them that the people will like/hire me for me and it shouldn't matter how long my hair is. I got a job working for a police department and my hair is down towards the top of my butt area. People couldn't believe it! 4laugh There's a list of people who've threatened me if I cut my hair. sweatdrop Unfortunately, I lost a chance to teach English in Japan because I showed up to the interview with long hair (even though it was tied back). Apparently studying Japanese for 4 years in college and working as a teacher previously doesn't mean anything as they spent the entire session questioning me as to why I have long hair, whether I'd cut it (which I said I would) and things like that. And how much do you know about Japanese culture? If there was a society more conservative than the baby boomers here, it's them. My boyfriend is Japanese and he has long hair... He cut it somewhat recently but usually it's long enough for him to tie back. I think he's growing it longer again. But he was born and raised in America, so I dunno.
