*Cerberus bit upwards, tightening his jaw into Iden;s arm. If Iden yanked away too suddenly, he'd lose a massive chunk of flesh. That said, Cerberus certainly didnt need a snapped neck. His arm shot upwards, thrusting against the bar with enough Potence to send BOTH of them skidding acros sthe floor, away form the counter, so his head only impacted floor, which didnt bother him over much, and forced his jaws further closed. Iden would feel his genetic twin greedily drinking down the vitae he encountered, his bite COLD, damp, disgusting.
Meanwhile, Mongrel looked up as someone else entered. His violet eyes slitted slightly, then widened again as he took in who it was. He slithered off the bar top and acros sthe floor, coming between Daegonna and the two fighting on the floor. He made no move to touch her, the chains about his body dragging noisily, but his meaning was clear - do not interfere. Daegonan currently didnt seem to wish to, so Mongrel remained passive, just watching her*

The sensation of flight was amusing. The sensation of COLD was not. However, Iden was not too worried.
The landing sucked...except that Iden had an almost free shot. As they hit the floor, Iden's arm slammed INTO Cerberus' skull, wielding Potence, just like his counterpart had. The point of it all was to drive Cerberus' head into the ground so hard, that his skull would cave in on the impact...or at least stun him into letting go.
Iden rolled over, though, presenting his back to Cerberus. This was not a disadvantage, though, but another strike, with Iden's opposite elbow ramming into Cerberus' ribs.

Daegonna watched Mongrel approach her, still with that childlike fascination. Now there was a subtle dangerous edge to her gaze, as if she were wondering what he would look like turned inside-out. Everywhere she went, Daegonna's aura could be felt. Tonight, though, she was in rare form. Her aura, her gaze, every motion, every breath seemed to beckon to something in those around her. Iden would have recognized it if he weren't so busy being nommed on. She'd put out much the same aura the last time they had met. It was like there was a song that called something in each of them to come with her, dance with her, feast with her. The something it called to was not something mortals or the living carried. If the undead had souls, that was what it beckoned to. It was that same spark of something that animated the living, only this was a darker spark, and it was what animated the dead. As Mongrel neared her, the space around Daegonna glowed with her signature violet. She seemed to have forgotten the fight. Then she remembered why she'd come. Booze. She waited until Iden and Cerberus were no longer right next to the counter, and then slowly moved in that direction. She gave Mongrel plenty of time to figure out where she was going, and react, if he chose to. It wasn't clear if she was being cautious, or was merely mostly distracted by watching him.

*Cerberus fangs let go the second he felt connection with his skull, drawing back swiftly. He felt the fracture run along the top of his brow as he took the rib blow, sliding sideways and away from Iden. He rolled to his feet, ruefully rubbing his forehead, but he had the blood to heal it, especially as he'd just been chewing on Iden. He moved back a little, licking his lips slowly and purposefully, leering at Iden*
Reckon that counts as cannibalism?
*Cerberus wasnt REALLY here to fight. IDEN had started winging. Thus, Cerberus was simply enjoying himself. It'd be down to Iden to close with him again*

*Mongel cocked his head to the side. He looked at Daegonna with a rarely seen rapt look to his features. Slowly, his head bobbed, as if the scrawny elf could hear music. A sibiliant hiss slipped from his lips, followed by, of all things, a smile.*
Niiicce muussicc...
*He realised where she was going very fast, and mirrored her movements, like a mantis dancing around prey, though rarely for him, he WASNT growling at her like she WAS something to eat*

Iden was on his feet, having rolled away once he had been released. He snapped to his feet, his arms twisting into a tight guard, with hostilities clearly not ended yet.
Sure as s**t ain't self mutilation.
The fight was not over, if one was looking at Iden's intention and demeanor. He was keeping his distance, watching closely, and waiting for the strike to come. That much, was obvious. There was simply too much ire built up for him to back off.

Come on then, little Warmonger. You want apiece of me so bad, come and get it. We;re twins, you and I. Hate me all you want, you CANT get away from the fact I AM you. Just... on the other side of the mirror. Fight. Its in your blood, right? Never mind saving it for your enemies, never mind you were out on a mission less than 24 hours ago, lets see that characteristic suicidal tendancy of yours...
*Cerberus was laughing with pleasure as he watched Iden, able to see the boy's desire to fight easily enough. He still made no move to engage Iden, but he would humour his twin if he came for it*

Suicidal? Hardly. Prove me wrong.
He didn't move. Part of it was Dae's influence on the room. He felt the tug, and it was messing with his need for battle. His guard did not drop, nor did he trust his counterpart to not stab him in his back.
There can only be one, chump. Only one. So...which is it gonna be?

You're the one who needs validation, not me. And YOU threw the first punch. Im not in the habit of killing.... and even if I were, I wouldnt think it wise to attack my back line support just before a big job.
*Cerberus leered at Iden, smirking. He hadnt been kidding of course about the fact they WOULD be working together*
Unlike you, I obey mothers orders to the letter. Besides... you may have started the fight, but I drew first blood. Im already satisfied. When this war is done... prehaps THEN I'll look to my own pleasures.

Daegonna's lips lifted in a smile. She watched Mongrel with that same fascination, this time, an almost surprised one. Was it possible she hadn't been expecting him to respond to her aura? Yeah, knowing her, it was. She watched him move along with her, and she seemed to be dancing too. The steps were not those to a waltz. She was leading, for now, but with the sort of determined caution of someone who knows the steps, but hasn't actually danced with a partner before. It's like school dances, where the boys and girls finally start to dance with each other, but are watching their partners like they're not quite sure if it's okay to be holding hands yet. Daegonna didn't seem nervous, though. She also didn't seem to be afraid that the situation was going to turn on her. Whatever she was doing, it was harmless enough, for now.
She circled around the counter, high heels clicking, hips swaying. She was having fun. She picked a bottle of mead, and four glasses. There was no reason not to share. It wasn't Iden's sort of drink at all. Daegonna liked sweet meads, the sort that's like fruit juice with a kick. The one she'd picked was pomegranate, one of her favourites.
"Iden? Cerberus? Mongrel?" The invitation was clear. Something in her already naturally musical voice carried that same current as her aura. It was a cool, inviting current, like the urge to play in the river in the heat of a high summer evening. It was the sort of current that might pull you under and drown you if you weren't careful.l Daegonna didn't seem to be aware she was doing it, which was typical of her.

He wont come. Cer is playing. He listens only to mmmuusiiiiiccc in his head.
*Mongrel tapped her skull, slithering up ONTO the bar again with a clicking noise in his throat. His nose darted over one of the drinks, then wrinkled as he pulled back, staring up into Daegonna's face*
Likes you. Demon is powerful, but... human so sweet. VERY... pretty music.
*His gurgling laugh was light hearted, yet strangled - like someone who didnt know what it was like to laugh only for joy;s sake. Mongrel's skin rippled like a chameleons, taking on the texture of pebbledash, pain flickering briefly through his eyes and quelling his foreign laughter. Shuddering, her licked vitae from his lips as he coughed, treacherous blood reacting to his emotions. With Cerberus hands off his leash, Yoachi - driven mad by over zealous Diablerie - became a victim of his own mind, the memories of others threatening to engulf to deranged and strange boy. Brought into his unlife through prehaps worse means than Roan usedon the DeSeer childer, Yoachi was ONLY at peace near Cerberus, his mentor, and Alpha, his father. Even Roan;s hands could only calm him, not completely take his pain away like Narok and Cerberus's did.*

Daegonna's lips twisted in a sort of smirk. She wasn't surprised that none of the others wanted a drink. It probably wasn't their kind of drink anyway. Daegonna had fond memories of mead though. Rituals on hot summer nights. The taste of fruit that had been so ripe it fell from weary, burdened boughs. The bells on the bridle of the night's mare. The chill of a night that promised a bountiful harvest in fall, just before the chill death of winter. She sipped the mead, and smiled. The girl watched Mongrel with fascination as he slithered up onto the bar. He didn't move or speak like any human or elf that she'd ever known. When he stared up into her face, and spoke, she smiled. She didn't entirely understand what he was talking about, but she thought there was a compliment in there somewhere. The sweet "music" intensified, for a moment. His laughter added a wistful hint to her smile. She watched as his skin rippled, and pain flashed over his face. She reached out a hand, and brushed the back of her fingers tenderly across his cheek. She had no idea what had prompted her to do it, but she longed to soothe him, to draw the pain from his mind like drawing venom from a wound. Daegonna's Daemon was cruel, violent, and power-hungry. But her heart was still very Human, and there was something in Mongrel that inspired something vaguely akin to pity, or sympathy. Something in her aura, something in that "music" that only the dead could hear, reflected that. There was an indescribable change. Warmth, softness, like a mother's embrace, or a lover's kiss was conveyed from her to him. And yet, it still seemed unconscious.

*Mongrel's reaction, when it came, was swift and strong. He shrieked, dropped back falling off the bar and hid under one of the tables, hissing and looking out from between the wooden slats with fear laden eyes.*
Now why did the pretty lady have to go and do that? We was being friends....
*Mongrel's training, even prior to his madness, had been... rough. Even the Roan in this realm knew that bursts of gentleness and pleasure made the next wave of pain all the more intense, forthe contrast. In short... Mongrel associated any kind or gently action with imminent pain and grief. Little wonder therefore he chose to stay near Cerberus, whose sadistic cruelty was at least consistant and thus, reassuring. Beside which... Mongrel was no push over, and had no more desire to be pitied than Cerberus or the rest of his pack. He cocked his head again, listening to the 'music' from Dae, but stayed safely where he was under the table*

Daegonna was rather surprised by his reaction. She watched him, mildly confused. She stayed where she was. "I didn't mean anything by it." She said softly. It was as close to an apology as she would ever come. She realized just then why she was drawn to him the way she was. She saw something of herself in those wide, mad eyes. She sipped at her mead, watching him thoughtfully. She wasn't one hundred percent sure she understood what had upset him, but she had a pretty good idea. Daegonna glanced over to Cerberus, slightly wary. Would he be defensive of his brother? Or would he just not care that Daegonna had unsettled him? She really wasn't in the mood to have to pit herself against Cerberus, right now. She didn't have the energy. She seemed tired, really, but not from the aura she was putting out. That seemed to be her usual energy, but with a different tang. Being that she was essentially a raw battery, her energy could be converted to different forms, and tonight, it was the sort of energy necromancers and animators and ghost-talkers used, though as always, it was slightly different from the normal. It was somehow more pure.

For all the enticing power Dae was exercising, Iden's focus remained quite firmly placed on his counterpart. He was grinning, though there was no joy, nor pleasure in the expression. It was a grim display, which hid a deep seated rage that he was controlling...for the moment.
Validation? Only thing I need to validate is why I haven't done this sooner. It ain't first blood that matters...it's last.
Partners be damned. Iden flat out refused to accept his counterpart as anything more than a blight in his image, one warranting nothing more than to be purged completely. Orders be damned, this fight was long in coming, and Iden was well prepared to deal with the consequences, no matter how severe they may be.
So Iden stalked forwards, moving with a cautious, fluid grace as each step padded lightly on the ground.
Besides. If I MUST work with your ilk...damn better be after you've shown me you're capable.
