Kasiya sat by the video phones long after she'd hung up with Professor Oak, even though she had the good professor's word that Hiro would feel right at home there. She clutched the newly transferred Pokeball in her hands, and occasionally would glance at it, but nothing more. She sighed a few times, more upset about the loss of one of her most reliable Pokemon then the loss she'd suffered at the hands of her father. She sighed once more, hardly noticing when the Pokeball she held slipped from her hand and clattered to the floor, causing it to open up in a flash of light.
"Bay?" came the inquisitive cry from Rosemary, the young Bayleef. She looked around the strange place rather fearfully for a moment, but upon recognizing the blonde girl sitting in a chair nearby, she calmed down a little, and walked towards her, stopping to pick up her own Pokeball and place it in Kasiya's lap. "Bay-leef," she said happily, sensing that her trainer wasn't in the best of moods, and she slowly wafted her leaf back and forth, releasing a soothing aroma that she hoped would help to lift the girl's spirits.
Kasiya breathed in the relaxing scent and closed her eyes, smiling. "Thanks, Rosemary. You really know how to cheer a girl up," she added, reaching down to stroke the gentle Grass Pokemon's head. "I guess we should head back then, huh," she sighed, standing up and gathering her things, and also remembering to put the Pokeball back onto her belt. She motioned for Rosemary to follow, and the Bayleef did so, after looking around cautiously to make sure nothing was going to jump out at her.

Kilik looked over at Mike then blinked. "What do you mean fixed up?" He glanced from the boy then up to Giovanni.
"Didn't he tell you?" the man growled, "When your friend with the blue hair went crazy, he thought a little rescue mission as in order. In the process..." he slammed his fist on the balcony, "He destroyed part of my Gym floor!" he fist shook with rage, "No matter. It was promptly fixed. Now then, state the manner of your business."
Kilik nodded then opened his mouth. "You see Giovanni...I was thinking about the deal we made. I'm still not going to back out, but..." he gulped, scratching the back of his head, "I think it'd be more strategic if I trained against a few of your Grunts to be ready whenever Maorde appears." He gulped then looked over his shoulder, anything to stop staring at the very intimidating man. He noticed a boy with auburn hair standing outside the Gym. Hm...? I saw him...he was at the Arena! He blinked, then glanced up at Giovanni again.
"Hmm...and your friend, Mike?" he whispered, "I take it he would train with you as well? Against my Grunts?" He noticed Kilik nod. With a sigh, he agreed. "Alright then...Leave whenever you think you've done enough." He turned his back on the two boys and disappeared into his office once more.

Dante, who hadn't really been looking into the gym or anything just listening in to make sure he didn't interupt, sighed and pushed himself off of the wall he was leaning on. Stepping into the gym, careful not to go in two far, he looked around the rather nice looking building. Running a hand through his hair a bit nervously, after all it was a rather strange request he was asking of them, he approached the two. "Excuse me. My appologies for interupting but would you two happened to Kilik or Mike?" He asked. He wanted to be sure on this. After all giving his pokemon to the wrong people was not something he wanted to do. ((Stupid short posts, I couldn't think of much else to write.))

At the mention of his name, the boy whirled around. "Yeah, that'd be me." He crossed his arms, looking this person up and down. "Do I...know you?" He certainly looked very familiar. but he just couldn't place who it was.

Kilik turned as well, nodding. "And that would be me. You're..." he paused to try and think of the name. "Hmm...Dawn...Dante! Dante, right?" the boy slipped a hand into his pocket. What would he be doing out here anyway? Could he already be wanting his eighth badge?

Hearing being called Dawn wasn't a very pleasent feeling, grumbling slightly at that in his mind. "Ah well, glad its you two, and yes my name is Dante. Though how you know that is a bit strange..." His eyes narrowed suspiciously for a second on that. Turning to Mike he grinned slightly at his question. "No, I do not believe that we really know each other. However I do believe you recieved a Magby egg from my mother." Shaking his head slightly and looking a bit embarrised now Dante wracked his mind on the best way to phrase this. " Erm well, I have a favor to ask." Holding up his hand to keep them from interupting he continued. "I was told you two would be the best for what I am asking so here I am." He paused for another second, this was the hard part. "I was wondering if either of you would be interested in taking care of one of my pokemon. I-I can no longer look after them due to certain... curcumstances."

Kasiya made the short walk back to the gym, the ever-nervous Rosemary keeping right by her side. At one point, a trainer waved at her, inviting her to battle, but Kasiya shook her head, and kept her gaze trained on the ground in order to avoid eye contact with other people. She stopped in front of the familiar doors, after using her usual method of climbing over the obstructing tree (and giving Rosemary a hand as well) she stood in front of the familiar brass doors, not knowing what to say once she got back in there. That she'd been upset? Or worried about her Pokemon? It occurred to her then that it didn't matter what her excuse was, she still had to go back in and face her father. She had a horrible, sinking feeling that he'd relish in his dominating victory over her, but soon dismissed the thought due to the probable guilt he was feeling from the unintentional injury he'd caused Hiro.
She sighed and pushed open the front doors, allowing the Bayleef to enter ahead of her. Rosemary let out a frightened squeak, but bravely followed her trainer inside. "Hiro's going to be fine," she announced to anyone who still might be there. "He needs a break from battling, but he'll be all right in a week or so," she added, idly watching Rosemary take in the sights of the strange new place they were in.

Train burst into the cave, then skidded to a stop as the light seemed to dissapear for a moment. Then her eyes adjusted, and she looked around. Pikachu sniffed the air, recognizing some of the cave's scent.
"Well, here we are. Though I'm kind of tired...maybe we should go on for a little bit, then find a place to take a break, huh, Pikachu?" Train asked, looking down at the little yellow pokemon.
"Pika pikachu." Pikachu replied, yawning to show he agreed.

An odd request to be sure, and it took a few moments for him to wrap his mind, but Mike wasn't going to question a free Pokemon. And Dante's mom was quite the looker. Hell, why not. "I'm sorry to hear that, I'd hate to lose my Pokemon. But yeah, I'll take good care of...what kind of Pokemon are you giving me?" He asked, still confused about the whole ordeal.

Crossing unto the Kanto region, Whitney peered downward and could make out the oh-so-familiar territory of Saffron City. She'd been spending much time there as of late, and she was wondering why Nina seemed to be so attached to the place. Was it because of Sabrina and her memory? Nina had never really discussed the matter with her, but Whitney, along with all of the other Gym Leaders and members of the Elite Four in all of the regions of the world had heard of the psychic's tragic death, and the events surrounding it. Nina must've blamed herself for Sabrina's death for the longest time, the girl thought, even though it wasn't her fault. And besides which, if Sabrina were to have seen Nina get killed... She shuddered. Descending down upon the fair city, Whitney dismounted her Pokemon and recalled a tired Rio to receive a bit of R and R. She headed towards the Gym, which had become Nina's most frequented hotspot. Nina had found out recently that the Gym even got Wi-Fi Internet, which she found to be amazing.
"Hay Nina? Hay Rai?" Whitney said, opening the door to the establishment, peeking inside to see her comrades sitting on the bleachers near the arena. "Oh, hey Whitney!" the psychic called, watching her sister enter the Gym and close the door, approaching her and Raimundo. "How'd your Gym battle go?" Whitney was beaming. "I beat my challenger!" she said, a widespread grin on her face. "Said his name was Crenu, or something. He had this obscene Larvitar and Ariados, but after a tiresome battle I had finally overcame him." Rai grinned a bit-- the grin Nina found herself attracted to. "Awesome, Whitney. Maybe you could teach Nina a thing or two so that she can win some more battles-- ow!" He felt an elbow being rammed into his side. "Hush, you. If I recall, the last time that Whitney and I did battle, we wound up having a tie. So, technically, I'm just as strong as she is."
"Or maybe you're just lucky," Whitney suggested, wearing a little grin. It faded after a moment, though, after she looked from her sister to Raimundo. She'd forgotten to ask him already. "Hey, um, Rai?" she said, "Do you mind if I ask you something?" "Mm, nope. What's on your mind, Whitney?" She sighed. "Well, I know this is gonna seem like, really stupid, but I need to ask it anyway. See, I got a message from Crenu to have our battle and stuff. So, I went there, and we had our battle and everything, and it wasn't until after he'd left that I realized I had no idea how it was that he even found out my Pokenav number. I didn't notice it until I left, but there was a piece of paper fastened to the Gym door. It was a note from me saying to call me if anyone wanted to battle, and it listed my Pokenav number at the bottom of the page." She took the paper out of her pocket and handed it to Rai and Nina, allowing them to read it over. "I had never written that note, and in fact, I know that that isn't a girl's handwriting. So, I thought of all the boys to whom I'd given my number, and it came out to be you, Kilik, and Mike. I know it's stupid, but that's not your writing, is it?"
After having read the note over a few times and handing it back to Whitney, Raimundo shook his head. "No," he replied, "that's not even close to my handwriting. When I write, I tend to write really small and the letters are sorta close together. But, on that, the letters are big and wide, and there's about a centimeter of space in between each of the letters." He shrugged a little bit. "Sorry that I can't help you." She shook her head a little. "It's okay," she said. "Initially, I was concerned because I didn't know if someone posted that information there because they knew I'd go out to accept my Gym challenge-- I legally have to-- and I was wondering if... maybe..." Nina tilted her head a little. "Wondering what, Whitney?" she asked, a bit concerned.

"I was wondering if someone was trying to spy on me or something," Whitney said. "Like, maybe my battling style, or the Pokemon that I use or something." She paused. "I know, I'm way too paranoid." The blue-haired girl jumped down off the bleachers and moved nearer to her sister. "No, you're not being paranoid in the least," she said. "If anything, you're being smart-- someone knows this information about you, and if they're doing this, they might be trying to exploit you or something. It's natural to be worried." She smiled a little bit. "Y'know what, though? They won't be able to do that. They won't be able to do anything to you-- you know why? Because I'll be there to protect you." Nina smiled. "And Rai will be too, won't you, Rai?" A smile danced on the boy's lips as he slid off of the bleachers, approaching his friends, standing in the middle of them and wrapping an arm around both of their shoulders and heading towards the door with them. "You'd better believe I will. Tell you what-- I'm not going to let you out of my sight, Whitney. I'll protect you from the bad guys."
Whitney blushed a little. "Heh. All right. Thanks, you two-- I owe you for this." The trio stepped outside. "Ha! Like hell you owe me-- you're my sister! We're supposed to watch out for eachother, nimrod." She giggled a little bit. "So, I've got an idea. How's about the three of us make a trek over to the Game Corner and play something to take our minds off of all this stuff?"
That idea merited a unanimous response, causing Nina to grin. "All right. There's only one condition, though." "Well, what's that?" "Yeah Nina, what's up?" "We're taking Pookie."
Before her friends could say no, Nina slipped away from them and let her estranged Pokemon free from its Safari Ball, finding a seat in between the spikes, near his front. She turned her head and grinned again. "Come on, you two! Pookie's okay!" Whitney stared at her sister increduously. "Are you kidding me?" she asked. "Last time I checked, Pookie almost got you killed!" The girl laughed. "Well, how can you expect me to tame him if I keep him cooped up in his ball all the time? Stop being such a baby!" Even Raimundo seemed a bit nervous around the Pokemon, as he and Whitney reluctantly approached it. "How do you know he won't buck us off or something?" he asked, visibly concerned. "Don't worry, Rai. The absolute worst thing that can happen is that we get thrown off onto the ground. And, we'd be landing on the grass, so we might get a bruise and some grass stains. So?" He sighed. "Well, it's just..." A shiver. "I've never been very at ease around Rhyhorn. I almost got ran over by one when I was younger, so that fear's stuck with me ever since."
Nina dismounted her Pokemon, and walked to her friend. "Listen. Pookie's too stupid to run someone over-- if anything," she said, looking over her shoulder to see Pookie and Whitney having a meeting of the minds, "he's more afraid of us than we could possibly be of him. And besides which--" she took his hands in hers-- "I won't let him hurt you." She smiled and kissed his cheek, and stepped back. "Trust me?"
Raimundo smiled. "Yes. I trust you."
Nina headed back to her Pokemon, interrupting Whitney's babbling to him, and taking back her original seat. "It's not that hard to get comfy," she said to her friends, "just slip in between the spikes and hold on, and you'll be fine." After everyone had taken a seat-- Nina in front, Whitney behind her, Raimundo behind her-- it seemed that they were ready to head off.
"Okay, Pookie! Let's go-- off to Celadon City!" She tapped a foot against his side, similar to what a rider may do to get their Rapidash running, and Pookie let out a brief, confused little roar. After a moment, he bounded westward toward the city, his passengers holding on tightly.

Linlaee had managed to knock the tray once again to the edge of the shelf. She hopped a few more times. Another millimeter closer. She was almost there! Just a few more hops and her pokemon would be on the floor and hopefully would pop out of their pokeballs. But suddenly she heard footsteps down the hall. She frantically hopped a few more times and the box began to tumble through the air!
Suddenly the door handle turned. Biff was flying into the room in an instant. Moving much faster than one would have thought he could, he managed to grab both of Linalee's pokeballs before they hit the floor. "Well what have we got here?" Carely snickered. "Glad we got back when we did. Okay kid, this is our stop and we're not going to let you go untill we're sure that you won't give us any trouble." Biff had put the pokeballs onto his belt. "So this is your Pokenav, if you have any friends on board you better call them and tell them you're taking a different route GOT IT?" He said as Carley untied Linalee from the chair and took off all the other bindings.
"So do you have any friends?" Carley asked while putting Linalee under x-ray examination. "Well there was this one guy who was on the boat with me... he's already worried I bet." Linalee admitted deciding that it would probably be best to call Mag and use some code words or something to alert him to her predicament.

Smiling slightly at Mikes words, feeling a bit better that his pokemon would be taken care of. "I was told that while you favor fire pokemon that my little ghost would be the better gift." Was all he said as he unclipped Kenny's pokeball and handed it to Mike. "His name is Kenny and I hope he helps you as much as he helped me." He had to be greatful to the small ghost pokemon, after all he had been the reason he had seen Ho-oh. "If-if it isn't to much trouble could you call me once in a while to tell me how he is doing?"

As Mike was handed the pokeball, he found himself struggling not to tear up. The thought of even having to give away one of his Pokemon almost tore his heart in two, but giving away your entire team because of something that is beyond your control? He didn't know if he would be able to be even half as composed as this boy was. "Don't you worry," He said, watching the ball disappear, transferring itself to his box at home. "I'll take good care of Kenny." Rubbing his eye, he gave a full hearted thumbs up, then shook Dante's hand. "I'll drop you a line one of these days, just to check up. Don't be a stranger if you want him back." With that, the boy turned around and walked into the Gym, this whole incident had given him another reason to give Pokemon training his all, and he wasn't about to let Dante down. He had to prove to Dante he would be a good caretaker for Kenny.
He had to prove it to himself.

After entering the spacious Gym, Mike began to look around for someone to battle. He needed to train, so where were the grunts already? "Hello?" He called out, his voice echoing and bouncing off the walls. "Anyone here?" So Mike was all alone in a Gym owned by the syndicate leader of Team Rocket, what reason would there be to not cause trouble, to not spark some hell? After all, it is in his character to defy authority. In fact, it would be pretty much a damn shame not to.
"Hey! I'm coming back to destroy the Gym again!" The boy shouted at the top of his lungs. "I'm that blasted boy with the Charizard!"
As if on cue, and they actually were, a pair of Rockets came running down the corridor. "Hey, you! Stop right there!" One of them yelled back. "Don't you dare touch anything!"
Perfect. "Calm down boys, I'm not here to cause trouble, only to battle. I'm under special permission from the big boss man himself, so I challenge both of you to a battle!"
The two grunts looked at each other and shrugged. What was there to lose? "Alright kid, if what you say is true, then I'll be the first to send you spiraling down in flames! Go Tauros!" A purple and red Great ball erupted in white light, revealing a large bull with three tails. It snorted, scrapping the ground with a hoof.
"Alright, let's make this battle funky, Beacon, go!" Mike released his silly Ampharos, who smiled at the exposure. "Hey buddy, you're fighting that Tauros over there, ready set?"
Tilting his head to the side, the Ampharos nodded quickly, displaying an odd amount of certainty and...well, intelligence. "Hi hi." He said cutely, waving to the Wild Bull Pokemon.
