Have you ever woke up on a bright and sunny day and actually felt good about doing so? As far as bad omens go I would say that has to be the worst, right next to going to an Apple Bees and getting outstanding service. Seriously, one day you wake up feeling good and the next you find yourself shopping in d.e.m.o. with some ugly b***h who is actually paying YOU of all people to do this. Luckily for you however, there does happen to be a Walden Books across the way so you stop in there while your nasty friend buys worse looking crap from d.e.m.o. Problem is that when you go into Walden Books and look for the manga and graphic novels you find them real easily. Obviously too easily which is just the case for when you look at their selection all they have is Fruits Basket and Samurai Deeper Kyoto. Not that those are bad, but you don't really care about either so you look at the novels instead and come to find out that all of them are by Dean Koontz and Tom Clancy.

Now things are going from bad to worse and you rush out of the store to find that girl you were with emerging from a different store than she was in before. That's right, now she went into the Banana Republic with your damn Visa. Who's paying who again? That isn't the problem though because she had your whole wallet and now your cash has gone right back to the rich, but she isn't done yet and just ditches you while you accidentally walk into Gamestop since you just walked right by her not knowing what to say. Things can only grow from bad to worse now as you are swarmed with Final Fantasy and Ys titles. This isn't the bad part though because for some sick reason you LIKE Final Fantasy (FREAK) so you go to buy it, but when you do the cashier gives you the spiel. BUY THE 29 'ZINES WE SELL! YOU WANT INSURANCE ON THE GAME!? BRING IN YOUR USED GAMES SO WE CAN GIVE YOU LIKE NO MONEY FOR THEM! YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT!? Finally, you tell that dude to shut his mouth and for some reason he does. As you go for the wallet you don't have again he starts talking once more though so this gives you a reason to bail when you don't feel your wallet. Way too lucky for you if you ask me.

And it is because when you walk out of the store after unsuccessfully buying some Final Fantasy title you remember that you still never confronted that girl about your money and now she is walking around inside Hot Topic. I guess you two actually agree on a store you like for once so you go into Hot Topic and immediately see her using more of your money. Before you can get to her though the tattoo guy who often hangs out there decides you NEED to see his latest tat and once again she gets away while you look at some meat bags poorly done tattoos of Bozo the Clown and Richard Nixon because going back in time is "coolio" nowadays. Like the rebel you are you steal some wrist bands from HT on the way out which you place on over your scrawny little wrists as you see her getting away. Out the door you follow and into the parking lot where the Mystery Machine and Bat Mobile are playing chicken while Speed Racer and d**k Dastardly sit in their junk-o-matics waiting for the winner. She of course gets into her '57 Chevy which might be nice if it wasn't made in Thailand. (The full name being a 1957 Chevyayahhh.) You decide to follow in your pimpin' penguin panda painted Pontiac Vibe which all the ladies love. (Yeah right.)

On the road to nowhere you go where the speed limit equals Montana, but the weather conditions equal Atlantis. Through the waist high water your vehicles putt and somehow don't stop, but that Chevyayahhh is pretty f'n fast. The secret weapon is in your hands though and for once it isn't your Conan O'Brien self-created VHS tapes. Instead it is your Who's Line soundtrack which consists of crapping sounds from Drew, bald jokes about Colin, Wayne singing about Drew's crapping sounds and the bald jokes, and Ryan wondering if he'll ever be laid again. Why this is a secret weapon you aren't sure, but it is more lethal than those supposed WoMDs that you've been hearing about on the Daily Show. The chase continues while you listen to this and bad omen or not you're sure you'll be damned to hell for even listening to this crap so you might as well stop going about yelling at others for choosing a person of the same sex as their partner and acting like a good a*****e. The corporate media isn't your enemy right now though so you speed up that Vibe and chuck away those bottles of Bud while someone in the back seat takes a crap in a bag to light on fire and throw it and the whore when you catch back up. Never will you Yoda say because at that moment of self-awareness and bodily function sounds you run into a 50 foot lizard who might as well be called Zodgilla 'cause you'll be sued otherwise and you wake up into a day that is less sunny and once again feel that speck of enthusiasm that needs to be crushed by depressants so you don't end up on a one way ride to a Johnny Depp movie.
