xD I saw someone's online website where they were saying which fruits the slayers characters are like. (Zel is a pineapple XD; wink and then they were like "And Xellos is...a fruitcake. Seriously, that's the only thing that works."

Uh...Gourry was ...a banana? And Amelia was a strawberry...I think Filia was a peach (watch out for the pit in the middle..) And I think Lina was a cherry. I dunno, it was about a year ago...

They do it for the randomness. I myself like shipping Lina/Naga for the sheer abusive hilarity of it. Though if you watch them together you can see how well they work as a team, and Naga was pretty concerned when Lina got injured in the movie. I think their greed unites them. cat_blaugh
