Marcus listened to what she had to say, and despite what she said about herself Marcus knew that she had a natural fighting talent if she was willing to work at it and learn how to fight.....well, more so better than she did now. Marcus didn't know that she used guns, Marcus had believed that her sword was he main weapon.....it just went to show the surprises one could learn of if they listened. He looked at the sword in his hands as she spoke, trying to imiagine what it could teach someone like him, and if he did learn from it what would it be like to be a skilled swordsman? However at the very end of her speech on weapons he looked up, right at her. "You know...the wapon is only a fourth of the equation...the rest is the weilder....Rivera told me that if I had faith in my sword...that it would never fail me......you Sara are the true force behind any weapon you use...the weapon helps but, it only does so much" he said quietly, cradling his sword over one shoulder as he spoke.

Marcus settled down slightly after that, listening to how she had looked up something to help his condition.....that went above and beyond as far as he was concerned....she was trying to help him both physically and mentally...he only wished he could help. "It's not just my liver though.....it's my muscles....the very center of my abilities......you can try to fix one part but.....well, to fix my condition would be to take away what makes me diferent.." he said, quietly as he shuffled around a bit.

Saraneth smiled at him. "Do you believe in me and my Shengyan?" She lifted her sword gently. Sara had told him that Shengyan was watched over by a god. She trusted fully in her sword, even if it only protected others, not her own self. "I told you before, that if you believed in us, the God would help us find a way to help you at least ease your problems..." Her smile was warm and not a degree too small or too big. It was just about perfect. Saraneth sheathed her sword and held it by her side, still looking cheerfully at Marcus. "I'll find a way to help you, somehow..." She whispered. The god would help her protect him... She found someone who she could somehow trust... no one else in this cold, cruel world had been trustworthy. They had all lied except for Gyrfalcon... they had all turned their backs on her, using deciete to get what they want before throwing her aside. Only the Gyrfalcon had helped her... she was no better than the rest of them, turning her back on the Gyrfalcon because of a blood contract. She should just die... But helping Marcus would give her a purpose to live. She wanted to live. She needed to, so she could support her father.

Asuka gently pushed open the doors leading to the Training Hall. With her katana in hand, she walked further into the room. Her other hand, meanwhile, was balled tightly into a fist. Her brown eyes were rimmed in a dull green glow.

Her quiet face gave no hint as to her wrath in her heart. Her father had disappeared, her mother had stopped speaking to Asuka's sister, and her sister was off in some forest or other. All of her family acted as if these things were normal and were common, but Asuka knew better. She knew that that was how her family had been for years, so now it was considered normal.

((Oh, sorry. I forgot about the character minimum here. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I will make sure I do not have any more one-liners.))

As her mind strayed to thoughts of her brother, her eyes grew wide and the brown in them lessened. He had told Asuka to get away from the rest of the family. He had said that the reason their father had disappeared was because he did not want to hear Asuka quibbling with her sister. He said that her sister left because she hated Asuka so. He had said their mother was not speaking to her sister because she wanted Asuka to feel guilty and leave.

The brown was gone from her eyes now. Only bright, glowing green was left, glaring at the wall of the room. Asuka unsheathed her katana and threw it at the wall, unleashing at the same time a small portion of her earth-based power. Where her katana hit the wall, sharp stones began protruding.

The glow in her eyes faded to a dim glimmer, restoring them back to their original color. Asuka walked over to her katana and wrenched it from the wall. She hoped whe would have no more outbursts of rage like that anymore, otherwise she might end up sticking her sword through somebody.

She sheathed her sword and gazed at the stones on the wall. As Asuka touched them, one by one, they withdrew into the wall, leaving nothing but a smooth surface. She turned and leaned against the wall, clearing her mind. Once she was no longer thinking of her family, Asuka walked out of the training hall.

"Sara, if I had to trust anyone one person in this world with my life, I would place it your hands and smile, because in all concerns...I trust you with myself more than I trust myself in general" he said, his voice showing a level of confidence and volume normally though impossiable by even himself. "But don't think that just because I'm weak doesn't mean I caan't help you too, I'll find something I can do to help you Sara, believe me! or rather believe in me!" he said almost cheerily, which sounded eerie because...he never had that tone of voice, ever. He suddenly had an idea, reaching into his shirt he produced his book, tiny battered and old it was his secret hiding place for everything he had ever learned since he was born...well learned on his own that was...important life lessons and such, among others. Opening it carefully to the first page he took a pencil out from his pocket and handed both to her. "Would you...sign this....under my name? It would mean alot to me...as your the first one who truly cared." he said placing both in her hands.

Dark-Mew-Galinda
Rosa was resting as she heard a voice that she knew. "I wonder who that is? I haven't really talk to anyone since I got this new look. I didn't think most people will reconize me...wait...please don't tell me its..Risa...She was the only one I talked to. Wait...oh no..She will want me to play with that egg thing he got! Eww," Rosa thought to herself as she turned her head to not see Risa but Legend! Rosa smiled sweetly. "It looks like your feeling better," Rosa stated as she stood up from her bench.

Rosa hasn't seen Legend in a long time..She was actually suprised that Legend could tell it was her. "well..I guess she was the first one here to be nice to me," Rosa remebered as she looked around the gym to find her.

Later, "Found you!" Rosa yelled as she ran up to the younger girl. "I'm so glad your here! I'm so bored! The monsters they are using to train people are weak! I need something to do! Wait I got it! Want to train with me?" She exclaimed while twisting side to side. "I'm just burning calories," She joked. Ever since Rosa got that new look she was well...happy and not serious! She wasn't worried about Risa! She didn't even care about anything! Today Rosa was just different.

Legend grinned at her older friend. "Sure!" she exclaimed. "I need to get some practice, anyway. I haven't trained since I first joined Ria!" Legend hid the nagging fear that she was out of practice. She couldn't be! Sure, she hadn't trained in a long time, but that didn't mean she lost anyof her skill.

((becareful...that was near a one liner Legend...))

"Hehehehe This will be fun," Rosa giggled,"Come over here! We can find you a worthy monsters! Don't worry they aren't too big!" Next Rosa walked over to the computer which had all the moster she could fight in them. When Legend came over Rosa said this to herself, "Lets see...your element is...Fire...hum...lets see...water goblins...hum...status...not too strong not too weak...made of pure water element...sounds good for me..." As Risa ran through the data she was looking for something that her element was weak against. Something hard she was looking for, She actually wanted to show other what she could do, starting with Legend. Then she reliezed it was rude to just pull Legend over here to show her what she could do so she said,"OH sorry you may pick first," Rosa said as she showed Legend the training system.

Saraneth smiled at him sweetly when he made his little speech. She would help him... because that was what she was destined to do. Her purpose was to help him, the very point of her existence based on a pillar of aid. Unfortunately, this pillar did not take support easily. Rather, the more supports there are, the harder to build the spiraling staircase around it. She refrained from telling him, however. Let him believe that he can help me, if it would make him happier. Simply agree and let it go. If he must help, then let him. She will let the wind take its course without a fight.

The request for her to sign her name was strange. She looked closely at the book he held... such an old volume... She wondered where it came from... As the book was placed into her hands, she carefully signed her name under his. [Saraneth Ioana the Kestrel, Kiano's daughter, of the Cursed] It was her full signature. Her real last name was Kianosra, while Saraneth Ioana was her first and middle name. Kianosra meant 'daughter of Kiano' so it was quite vague to just say Kianosra. Few peopel knew this form of naming. Saraneth seldom used her full signature for anything. She thought that perhaps, this book was special enough to receive her full name inscription.

"Here..." Sara handed the book and the pencil back to Marcus. She had been listening to the book. It was much quieter than Kinami, the sword... but what it did whisper to her and show her was much more valuable. "Why... do you wish to become immortal?" She asked him quietly, "Your book said that your greatest possible goal it knew of was to transcend time... why?"

"That....isn't what I meant by that.......I seek to find something, that provided.....cannot be eroded away evn by the sand of time...I wish to find something that goes forever...." he said quietly knowing that right now he sounded rather odd....him talking on the subject of time and everything. He never knew she could talk to all inanimate objects! either that or perhaps her eyes caught the fact the right next to where she had signed the line she had recited resided? Either or was probible to Marcus right about now. Taking the book carefully he placed it back into his shirt, tucking it in ever so carefully so as not to damage it in any way. "Sara, can I ask you a question?....." he said, turning his head so as to actually look at her, not just stare at her feet as he usually did.

Sara thought carefully... "Something that lasts forever..." I wonder if he knows... that he's already found it...? She glanced at him, wondering if he recognized that by vowing to seek an eternal something, he has already achieved the first step on one of the three main paths to immortality... Probably not. She herself never cared for things that stayed forever. Then the extent of eternity seems so bland and gray without imagination. An achieved immortality is the greatest curse of all...

"A question? Neh? Go ahead and ask away!" Saraneth smiled and came back to earth. Her floating mind still threatened to float away, but it wasn't as bad as before.

"Regardless.....even if I never find something that will never fade I can say I tried when I die right? I can say I tried so hard and came far but, in the end....trying doesn't mater" he said as he tried to remember his question, having it come to him out of the Blue. "Sara....I have never really asked anyone a question of this calibur before but..I feel that I can trust you" he said as he swallowed hard, trying to sum up the courage to say what he needed to say. "Sara....having known me for at least a decent time know I can say that you truly are my first actual friend....am I..do you think I have what it takes to go somewhere in my life? be the best I can be.....or honestly, do you think that I won't be able to do anything?" he said quietly, knowing in his mind th answers between them may differ.
