Giving a weak smile in response to the joke, he tried to lose his nervousness of going inside witht he cat. But he was right, He had him, and if he was gonna be h okage of Konoha one day, he should be able to protect his best friend from a hoard of psychos whilst he uses the phone.. right?

.. Maybe he wasn't cut out for hokage... After all.. he was one of the psychos himself. He growled at this thoguht. what was he thinking?? He couldn't let something as stupid as -that- ruin his chances? Some mental disorder isn't going go drag him down when a 9 tailed demon fox made him the social outcast of the village, amongst other things. He'd use all his disadvantages to his advantage.

Besides, Ryland DID give him smoothies and Ramen >>; Like he was going to let HIM die anytime soon xd

Walking inside the big building, introducing him to the creepy feel, the cold air, the creepy noises down the hall and the like, Naruto lead the other to the Med wing, a common place of visit for anthros, visitors included.

"Um.. McDowen-san..? Are you here" Naruto called, looking around for the albino Rabbit nurse, hoping to god that he was a male today, he tended to get a bit obnoxious when female. Growing impatient, he tried calling again. "Oi! OKAMA-SAN" He yelled, seeming to get more of a response.

"Alright alright! I heard you the first time!" Complained Alice as he walked in, rubbing his head. "As If i don't get enough out've you, Naruto. What is it this time? Kiba bite one of your tails again?" He asked, sitting at his desk and looking bored.

Naruto growled softly, squinting as he pointed at Ryland. "Ry-chan would like to use the phone." He grumbled, trying to keep his temper down.

"Ahh I see." He nodded, giggling softly at the other's behaviour. It wasn't like Naruto to have friends around the place, and he didn't get on well with those inside all that often, so he was glad. He could see he was trying hard to not seem like a bad guy to this "Ry-chan."

Smiling he stood up. "Okay then, Ry-chan. You just come this way, give me your name and details and I can let you use the phone." He said, beckoning the cat over to his cluttered desk as he got out some detail forms.

Naruto stayed close, but gave him enough space to give him privacy. He was a little shocked at how firmly he was attacthed to his arm. It had made him a little more protective than he may have liked. He knew he was going to get some teasing from the rabbit when Ryland left.

"Name, address, emergancy contact details. And Insurance number if you know it." He said with an awkward laugh. "You're practically Naruto's next of Kin, since you're the only one he knows that has come to the asylum, you'll have to be the first one to contact if anything goes tragically wrong. Untill Naruto decides to cough up "Guardian" names from his old household." He explained softly. "We're still trying to Contact this "ero-senin" That he keeps talking about, But as he is a hermit, it's hard to keep in contact."

Naruto tilted his head, he was a little confused at this response, but, he smiled anyway in return. In a way, it was a little comforting knowing that Ryland was glad that he would be the one notified if something was to happen to him. He just had a feeling, that if he got hurt, Ryland would probably care about it. Unlike the others who likely wouldn't, and think he deserved it.
Though of course sometimes he did deserve it, but a little bit of sympathy didn't go amiss sometimes.

But those near tears.. he had seen them. This seemed to have meant a lot to him. He likely wouldn't ever be able to undersand why it meant so much to the cat. But the fact that it did, made him think about what it might've been like if he had actually had a normal familly. He wasn't sure why, it just did.

And it kinda hurt. It showed in his face.

Naruto trembled slightly at these touches. These were definatly different to anything he had ever had before. He could feel the warmth and comfort in his fingertips, the sort've touch that needed no chakra abilities to heal. It was a sort've.. feeling he wasn't used to getting. He got it once or twice of Sakura. It seemed more common amongst females, that tender caring love that they shared amongst friends and family. That must be what he felt here.

And then he was hugged, as if the shock from the touch wasn't enough. He growled softly, to himself, not daring to forbid Ryland from anything if he could. He had told himself not to think about things like that, about his pasts and what if's. But as his life had gone on, he had thought more and more of them. And that most hurtfull one to him; Family. He had never really thought of it as he grew up into a shinobi, As such a troubling thought could hinder performance. But he had wondered, ever since he had met Gaara; What would his own mother have been like. What did she think of her boy being a nine tailed fox? Then he had realised. He couldn't remember a single memory of his own mother. She obviously hadn't stuck around for him. And that was one of the many reasons why he despised being what he was now.
It seemed hypocritcal when all along he had told people to believe in themselves and to stand for what they beleived in.
And now, he still was letting the fox get the better of him

That voice cause his orange ear's on top of his head to twitch. What did he say..? He was staying? He trembled again not really responding to the words with words. But slowly, he lowered himself slightly and wrapped his arms around Ryland's chest, holding him close. He backed up a bit, leaning against the wall with the other, a tear slipping from his bright blue eyes. This feeling, of knowing someone truely cares for you, even if it's a freind. It was overwhelming. He hadn't seen any of his old friends since he had left Konoha. Except for Kiba and Sasuke. He couldn't see Sasuke giving a damn.. and Kiba was already in here, and still a jerk.

He lift a hand up to his head, reaching back and untying his headband and put it on top of Ryland's head. He didn't feel like the big strong ninja he wanted to be anymore. "You could use that... more than me right now." He said quietly, rubbing the tear away.

Alice tilted his head as he saw this little moment, that he figured was a lot longer than how he saw it. He chuckled softly to himself, somewhat glad Naruto had made himself a true friend like that in this "new land". Getting up he stretched.

"I better sort Naruto's cell out for a second person staying in it then."

Naruto had froze just a little at the lick, not being used to having a some one with such animalistic instincts around him, well.. He didn't count Kiba. who prolly did act like the dog he was meant to be. But Cats with their licking to groom habbits was new to him, but he didn't mind. It was a friendly thing.

He rubbed his eyes afterwards anyway, as Ryland moved away. He still wasn't sure how to respond to the other's warm words, so he left them without a response this time.

"Uh um.. yea.. He does.. somewhere." He said, walking over to help look, shifting a few piles of paperwork before picking up the wireless office phone hidden beneith. He smiled and handed it to Ryland

Naruto couldn't help but laugh at the phone call, it was like what he had said when he was upset just now, though in a little more.. persuasive mannor?

"You're great with words.. you know that?" He always seemed to be right to the point... And very stubborn about that point.

At this point Alice walked back in, pulling back the white hair from his face in a rather feminine mannor as he walked back around to sit at his desk.

"Right, all set up for two, if you need it. You should be safe in there but if you ever get invaded remember to make use of the handy red button by the door. The siren alone would prolly scare whatever intruder out. But we'll still come running." He looked amongst his stuff before looking up at the phone clasped in the cat's hands.

"Ah, found it then?"

Naruto blinked at the other's nervous reactions, trying to hold back from laughing. He for one had definatly read it off the wrong way, almost considering that Ryland was shy around Alice because he had a crush or something. But he didn't say a word about it, just in case.
He still found it pretty funny.

Blinking at Ryland's hand in his own, he smiled again, definatly feeling better from earlier. He smiled warmly at Ryland, his tails flicking as he nodded.
"Sure thing." He replied, heading out've the med wing, ignoring Alice practically cracking up the moment they left.

So now there was a new challange, instead of escorting Ryland to the med wing to use the phone and back, he now had to take him to his room. Which meant the probability of meeting someone else had risen tenfold. And as it was nearly 1 am already, the company awake was likely not going to be pleasant.

However the chances, he lead the way anyway, simply hoping not to meet anyone.
