*Azrael followed closely behind, speaking over his shoulder to Dae.*
"I won't compare losses with you, but at least Dag might still be alive... besides, he made me a challenge to my face, and I must answer it, my honour demands nothing less..."
*His gaze returned frontward, and his left forearm rested on the hilt of his uppermost zanpaktou. He looked around as Roan called out, waiting for the outcome.*

Daegonna nodded once. That was as good as she was going to get. Azrael, too, had suffered. Daegonna just thought it would not go over well if she suddenly got in his way to attack Bailey, without him having a fair warning. He was already not holding her in the best regard at the moment. She was surprised Roan had let her come at all, considering. But Daegonna was confident in herself, in her strength. She was strong. Ice had told her so, after all. The girl released the last of the wards containing her power, letting the full brunt of it loose, sharp and unforgiving as a bared blade. Her power crackled in the air around her like static electricity, and she began strengthening the wards around her mind. She knew Bailey could probably bull through them, but the defense made her feel better. Daegonna stood back as Roan approached the statue. She wouldn't have spoken anyway. Graveyards are for the sake of the living, not the dead. For the most part, the dead don't care. Daegonna let Roan have her privacy, and perfected her multilayer wards.

*Something moved, and a voice called out*
You are one less than you should be Vengeance... I will not face you without the last murderer... He is here, Fear. Within me. .....this is acceptable. You too will die, if not for spawning this ill fated line of god killers, then for holding a murderer to your breast, whore of babylon. Show yourself, beast.
*The earth shuddered as sclaes slid under the surface of the rubble and a true beast rose slowly from the debris. Dark black scales reflecting purple, green and blue where light hit them covered the body of the creature, massive forelimbs slamming into the floor, its body so big Roan only came up to its knee as it rose... and rose... and rose...
A terrible wyrm, swirling with dark energies, Bailey towered over them like they were insects before him, yet where his eyes should have been there was only sore red mess, blood streaking the reptialian face, though he saw them clearly enough. It woudl seem he had coped with his grief even less than Roan had with hers for Corbin*
Bring forth the girl. I would speak with her before anything else. That is her choice. She speaks with me... or I will hunt you from the shadows, one by one, without honour. For you would not have honoured me. Dae?

Daegonna tensed as the ground rumbled, like the earth beneath them shuddered, and Bailey drew himself up. The girl stared up at him in awe and, of course, fear. She stared into the bloodied pits of his eyes, and stepped forward. She brushed aside her fear. Now wasn't the time for it. The girl moved past Roan and Azrael to stand in front of them. Something fell away from her, then, like a skin shrinking away. She looked a few shades paler, and again, her face was like a cracked mask, dark veins showing through translucent skin. She'd gotten a bit better, but not as much as she'd wanted Roan to think. Bailey would see through it anyway, but she saw no reason to hide. "I am here, Bailey." She said softly.

*Azrael watched as the beast rose and his right hand went to his hip in an instant. He watched slowly as the beast addressed them, and he wondered as he had when the challenge had been thrown down, what he was going to say to her. He kept tense, watching the situation closely...*

*Slowly, the leviathan lowered a hand big enough for her to stand on downwards, and woudl pick her up with suprising gentlesness, bringing her up level with one of his ruined eyes, which saw her without seeing*
You still reek of him... I sense him all over you. You who took that last piece of him from me as the sorcerer did before you... and now he is gone. JUSTIFY IT! Tell me you loved him... tell me of what my brother was to you.
*His tail whipped the floor in his demand*

Daegonna stepped boldly into his open palm, and allowed him to lift her tiny, doll like body to eye-level. She stared up at him, her golden eyes wide and brimming with tears. "He is my soulforged," she said, her voice breaking with grief. "He was the one who took my hand and drew me from my private Hell, he was the one who gave me back my strength. He showed me darkness, he showed me need..." Her lip quivered. "I am his vassal..." She wouldn't say that that made him her 'master.' She would never say that of anyone. "I...I do love him..." That realization hit her like a sledgehammer. She knew she meant it the moment she said those terrible words. And worse, she knew she could not take them back. Something broke, in the back of her mind, then, something that seemed very important, but she couldn't quite figure out what it was. The grief she'd locked away, the pain, the need, rushed back, full force, flooding her, crushing her, numbingly cold. Or was that her skin growing cold? She didn't know.

Then you will suffer for him if I fall. That is good. He was a GOD. He WILL be remembered, and he will be avenged. Return to your traitor family, help them if you will, but with my death that pain will double in you, female, and you will never meet another like him. NEVER!
*Snorting in disgust, Bailey lowered her to the ground and let her go*
Let it not be said I had no honour, god killers. Who will face me? Who will pay for his life first?

*Azrael needed no further introduction, and flash stepped forwards, appearing directly in front of Bailey, staring up at him without fear. His hand wavered over the handle of his blade and his face split into an evil grin as his energy rose up around him.*
"Me you overgrown suitcase! Make sure you at least put up a fight..."
*He couldn't help but tease, the lust for battle had set in and he wanted his opponent at his fiercest.*

Daegonna shuddered at Bailey's words, and knew he was right. She had seen bits of his memories, how he spanned aeons of time, beyond human memory. Gods of war and love and lust and pain had all borne his face. She would remember, suffer, grieve. Bailey's death would be another loss, in a bizarre, terrible way. She'd lose another bit of Ice, somehow. That made her even more determined to kill him. He set her down, and before she had time to lash out, Azrael was upon him. Daegonna snarled, and took the opportunity Azrael's distraction provided. She hissed out a spell, something with words that sounded like wind through trees, or the hiss of wind over sand. She was light and nimble, and the spell slowed her falls, made her lighter than air, let her levitate. It wasn't quite flying, but it was still kicking gravity in the teeth. She sprang up, and darted up the wyrm's arm, moving as quickly as she possibly could, light as the wind, nimble and swift. She was heading for his shoulder, climbing and scrambling over the massive scales and spikes of his body. If she could get that far, she'd scale the back of his head, or clamber down over his heart. All of her power was drawn around her, but it was not the usual violet fire. She was already changing it, letting it cool, until it was that pale purple-grey chill of the grave, all of her energy converting to necromantic power. Her determination and willpower grew with every heartbeat. She would see him crumble, see him rot from the outside in, so his guts spilled from his body, leaving him a writhing puddle. The cold hatred in her eyes would have frozen beer.

*The big wyrm laughed, the sound so deep it crumbled another wall, rattled the floor, pounded the ears*
Not you, Vengeance? I am suprised. I dont need to. My role is easier... for now. Your sword will recall, little one. He will recall how...
*...he'd drunk his immortality. The cables plugged into him had surged with power as all he WAS was taken from him, force out of him, taken screaming and scratching at his insides, shredding his astral self to pieces as some awful weight crept in in return. Mortality. The heavy weighted swing of time, each heart beat another tick on the clock as his life ebbed away, moment by moment, as he writhed and screamed and saw death from AGE through a million minds, felt the pain of a human through a thousand deaths at teh ANon's hands, and WORST of all.. BAiley at the end of it, THRIVING on the agony, on the pain, on his defeat and the anger of this blashemy... and drinking in the taste of his immortaility....
She snapped out of it, the Crown solid over her head as power radiated out of her, her arms spreading to protectthe area, The third gem was starting to light, but this time... she willed it not to*
Kill him, my children. Kill him.
*Bailey laughed, and snapped open his wings before Dae coudl climb to his head, one of his claws throwing her off as he flapped hard and rose from the ground, tail whipcracking towards Azrael. HE gained height fast and made a pass over, breathing out gouts of... fire? No... not fire. NOT as it SPLATTED the ground. Acid. And there was a LOT of it*

Daegonna was suddenly airborne. It didn't matter. She fell slowly, slowly enough that she had time to cast. She kicked out both feet, hard, and they met with something solid. Invisible, but solid. She ran through the air, moving fast. The spell would not last long, she only had a couple moments to - The 'ground' dropped out from under her. She fell. But she was nearer the ground, and when she landed, she landed on both feet.
She didn't need to be touching Bailey to use her necromancy. Right? It just worked better that way, and better yet if they were touching, or established some other kind of connection. Daegonna scrambled to the top of a rock outcropping, and took something from one of the pouches at her hip. It was a phial of something clear. She flung it up into the air, and shouted something in a tongue long-forgotten. Violet fire lanced out from one finger, shattering the vial. The glass and liquid flew in all directions. And flew. And flew. A phial the size of her thumb produced a small lake's worth of water. Then, directed by her outstretched hands, the water flowed towards Bailey, frigid, roaring, and moving fast. Once it touched him, it would freeze solid, cold enough that it would kill any mortals, and perhaps some immortals. Not Bailey, of course. Hopefully, she could encase him in ice, and provide both herself and Azrael the moment they needed to strike, before he inevitably broke free. Then she launched herself into the air again, and landed on a floe of ice, riding it straight towards her target, all the while thinking This...this is dumb. She was not fond of up-close fighting. Given an option, she would curse from afar, but she didn't exactly have an option. Bailey was here, now, and lashing out at her family. Daegonna was trying to end this fight quickly, and if she could touch him, establish a connection, and pour all of her necromancy into it, she knew she could do just that.

*Azrael growled in disappointment, didn't any of these age old 'god' mother ******** enjoy a good sword fight anymore? Drawing Isoda, Azrael's right hand shone a dark purple as energy crackled around his gauntlet and onto the handle, seeping into the revolver chamber. With a swift pull of the trigger a beam of white hot spiritual energy tore from the barrel of the gunblade, a quick pump of the reload guard causing the chamber to rotate, and steam rose from the cartridge port.
The beam carved through the oncoming spew of acid, meaning it would likely fall 'around' Azrael and not on him, but the beam was heading for the creatures face with frightening speed.*

*the beast swallowed the fire of Azrael's attack down its gullet as it turned broadside to the water and ice. You could hear his rumbling laughter as he fell floorwards, his bulk aiming to crush Azrael as the beast simply laughed and Roan renewed her barriers, holding steady on the periphary to prevent damage to the area around them.
The question remained... where was his beast?*

Daegonna hurtled towards Bailey on the chunk of Ice, following as he sailed towards the ground. The moment she was close enough, she flung herself at him, aiming for the icy side. She slammed her claws into the ice, and scrambled over the ice, clinging with claws and the last remnants of the spell that had made her sort of levitate as she moved for a spot she could hang on long enough to lash out with her necromancy.
