Veru nodded and started down the hall.

Thia unlocked the door to her room and flung it open. She shut it quickly and walked over to her bed. "Ugh. Little Rinny's got trouble. Veru's found a vampiric roommate. New girl wants friends. I can't stand being around drama. Well, it wasn't a drama until Rin started scaping again..."
~
Rin stopped spacing when she reached the cafeteria. Her stomach growled at her. "Woo. I'm hungrier than I thought."

Someria desperately wanted to ask Rin what was going on, but she didn't see Rin until she was almost done eating. Well, she thought it was Rin anyway. "Hey, Veru. Is that Rin, or are my eyes tricking me?"

Veru looked over. "Yes, that's Rin. Why do you keep asking if your eyes are messed up?"
Rin grabbed a sandwich and ate quietly.

Someria sighed and looked down at her soup. "Because he used to punish me by blinding me... Temporarily of course, but it hurt. I'm never sure of what I'm seeing anymore because the blindness also causes the mind to see things that aren't there." Why can't I let go? I want to be free...

Veru dropped the subject like a hot potato. "Oh... Well... Rin doesn't seem too out of it... You wanna try talking to her?" He couldn't help but think in his mind, Who's he and why did he hurt this girl so much? Even my old man didn't torture girls...

Someria smiled weakly. "Sure. Let's go talk to Rin." She stood up and started slowly walking across the cafeteria. Maybe she'll be able to help me heal myself. It's the best hope I've got.

Veru stood up and followed Someria. Rin glanced up and saw the two approaching. "Oh, hey. What's up?"

Someria smiled (fakely). "Not much. Oh, I wanted to show you!" She changed her appearance to taller and blond-haired and green-eyed. "I can change my appearances. Thia told me you know healing magic. I was wondering if you could teach me?"

Rin laughed when Someria changed her appearance. "Cool!" She stopped when she heard Someria ask her to teach her. "Um... That wouldn't be too easy..." She tried to avoid the subject, "When do classes start? I want to know when I have to wake up in the morning..."
Veru sighed, knowing that Rin was uncomfortable. Her face is an open book. She can't conceal that she doesn't want to talk about it... Veru took the school lunch he had and started to eat. He was a very messy eater.
Rin looked at Veru. "How's it taste?" She was trying to playfully tease him, but the discomfort still showed on her face.

Someria sighed because she knew to let well enough alone. "I think classes start next Wednesday at 10:00am until 6:00pm. It's a lot of late night studying with a lot of sleeping in."

Rin smiled. "That's good. It'll give me time to settle in."
Veru ignored Rin's comment about his eating habits. "The staff should invest in steaks. This salad is for rabbits, not wolves."

Someria rolled her eyes. "Then you shouldn't have come to a place where about 1/3 of the school population is vegetarian. We are rabbits, more or less. I eat meat, but not too much of it."

Veru smirked. "Smart girl. I should have gone to Transyllvainia when I had the chance." He started to tease Someria just a little. "Anyways, why're you and the vamp here? Couldn't stand her lisp?"
Rin snickered, trying not to laugh. "Thia doesn't have a lisp! That's the old world vampires!"

Someria looked around the cafeteria to see if Thia was there. "I'm here because it's safer than where I came from. Then again... most places are. Did Thia come so that she could have more fresh blood?" Someria yawned. "I'm getting tired. I think I'll head back to Dorm 3."

Rin laughed as she tried to explain her reason for coming. "No! No- Haha! I dragged Thia here- Hahaha!" She stopped laughing and wiped away the tears that came from laughing too hard. "Uh... Woo. That was funny. I'm tired too. Mind If I walk back with you?"
Veru snickered. "You two go to your rooms. I'm gonna finish the rabbit food and try to have a few minutes of peace before facing the vamp again." He stood up and walked over to a corner to finish his food.
