Richard crawled forwards, his eyes swiming from the pain in his now sprained wrist.

Arya struggled to move and only succeeded in lifting herself onto her elbows. Surely the ship isn't supposed to tilt this much? She reflected, her head swimming as she struggled to identify what was going on.

As the Thunder raced away, The cannons fired again, hitting the stricken Royal Navy vessel. It exploded.

Debris flew in all directions, landing mostly in the sea but also on the deck. The possibility of fires starting was small, but still a possibility as the crew stamped on the fragments to ensure they had gone out.

With a faint hiss, Richard fell to his side. The battle over, his power, which had been stopping the ship breaking, ran out. He passed out.

Slowly the picture in front of her eyes started to become clearer, and Arya crawled out from the place where she had been left on her hands and knees. She absent-mindedly extinguished a small fire near her, then looked around for the others.

Richard lay still, his nose bleeding from where his power usage had blown his nose veins.

"Too many fires." Arya muttered groggily under her breath, relieved to be able to focus on this simple task.

Crew members that weren't ensuring the ship would not sink in seconds set out to work on the fire, using pumps to clear the larger ones, and kicking burning wood overboard.

Arya was trapping the fires under her hand, commanding them to cease burning as she crawled forwards. Then she froze, looking at one of the bodies on the deck. "Richard?" She whispered, frightened, crawling to him. "Richard?"

Richard lay still, his nose still bleeding from the power overuse. He'd worked so hard to save the ship he loved. It had worked but his head was pounding like mad.

Arya touched his cheek; it was warm, and he was breathing. His pulse was - almost - normal and despite being unconscious, he seemed to be ok. His nose was bleeding, probably too much pressure bursting the blood vessels. She lifted his head, pinching the bridge of his nose to stop the bleeding.

As his nose was held, he gasped, unable to breathe fully. He flailed a moment in panic.

She held him tightly, gently inserting her fingers to hold his mouth open until the bleeding had safely stopped.

His lips had been caked shut with the blood, but now he breathed deeply, eyes opening as his body's defences kicked in.
