Chin barely heard Crow's question. She was utterly floored - inside, it didn't look so big. But out here...shaking her head again, she blinked, recalling being asked something. "What? Oh...um..." No mountains. Not today. So what did that leave?

Sabriel wiggled free of her arms, clambering up on Chin's shoulders instead so he could see better, putting his paws on her hair for support as he looked out. Outside was just like he'd imagined it to be - big and majestic, full of trees and stuff like that. Somewhat disappointed, he sat back again.

"How about...over there, that patch of forest?" She squinted, swearing she could see shapes like bridges in the trees...but that didn't make any sense. Making sure the cat baby was secure on her shoulders, she waved them on and strode off in that direction herself, hoping it was a good choice.

Lenore nodded and took off like a shot in the direction of the woods, her lanky legs moving awkwardly on the grass.

"C'mon, c'mon, let's go!" she shouted, smiling as she drew closer to the playground of ropes and bridges.

"It's a treehouse town!"

Trudging behind them in silence, Crow looked around appreciatively. Whatever had caused the growth spurt had certainly done the job right. Watching Lenore as the girl eagerly started scrabbling up one of the ladders and gliding awkwardly to another tree, she laughed.

"Well, looks like it's gonna be an interesting afternoon after all."

Jogging to keep up with Lenore, Chin felt her awe grow as the entire town came into view - how on earth had this happened? It was so cool! "Very interesting." she agreed. "Look, Sabriel! Isn't this neat?"

Stopping at the foot of a bridge, she looked up. And up. And up. "D'you think it's safe?" she asked Crow.

Sabriel craned to see, astonished. The outdoors weren't so bad after all. He meowed, wanting down so he could get up there.

"Just a minute." she told him. He only complained louder, whipping his tails impatiently.

Crow shrugged, laying a hand on one of the thick tree trunks.

"I dunno - probably. I mean, they wouldn't build all this for the kids just to have them fall to their deaths, right?" she said mildly, totally unaware of how unpleasant it must of sounded.

Jump. Glide. Land.

Lenore repeated the pattern over and over, zooming between the giant trees and laughing madly.

"This is so freakin' COOL!" she screeched, gliding unsteadily towards a tree branch just beyond her reach. A little bit of her happiness died away as she began to lose altitude a little faster than she could fix.

"Uh oh."

She tumbled through the air, flapping her arms in a valiant effort to stay airborne. Grabbing onto a nearby tree trunk and biting into the bark with her clawed fingers and toes, she gave a sigh of relief as she saved herself from a nasty fall.

"Phew."

Waving over at the three, she laughed again.

"I almost gots killed!" she said happily, supremely pleased with the narrow brush with death.

(Not that she knew about the spells cast in the area to prevent such a nasty death, of course.)

"Um. Right." The images accompanying Crow's words weren't the most pleasant. Glad for the distraction, she turned and waved back, glad to see the girl was all right. What if it really was dangerous? "Good job, Len!" Lenore sounded so happy about it.

Sabriel took matters into his own paws, bored with waiting. Spying a bridge hanging a little ways above them, he scrambled on top of Chinny's head, and from there hooked his claws into the boards and hauled himself the last few inches up. He flopped on his side, spent but proud of himself.

"Ow..." Chin tenderly felt the scratches his hindclaws had left and looked resentfully up at him. "You could've asked, you know."

Ooh, it was even better up here! Not even listening, he got up and set off to explore, the bridge swinging gently under his weight.

Beaming at the praise from Chin, Lenore scrabbled along the trees and glided back towards the three. Landing on a branch a little over Sah's head, she perched like a bird and watched him with interest.

"Whatcha wanna do now, Sah?" she asked, all her previous feelings of fright and wary distrust forgotten.

Wincing in sympathy, remembering many an occasion when she'd nearly lost an eye to carelessly flapped razor feathers, Crow leaned against the tree and watched Lenore and Sabriel.

"She doesn't think the day is complete unless she's risked death or serious bodily injury," she said with dry humor to Chin, shaking her head in slight exasperation.

"She's a nut - I think the gliding's bringing out the adrenaline junkie in her."

~The Jungle Room~

Quest Rp
Salem sighed softly, his quest letter in his pocket. He had noticed Cato was picking up more things recently, but he hadn't thought it was anything like this... He had been trying to teach Cato to walk recently as well so for once he wasn't carrying him around, but holding his hand as the little boy struggled along. He was actually doing pretty well as long as one helped him. He still couldn't quite keep his balance on his own. Still he was improving. He had decided to take a look around the Jungle room this time. Catherine had told him about it and it seemed like a good time to try it out sense it was so cold outside. Wow... This was actually real nice! This place was full of surprises wasn't it? He walked over to the playground with little Cato in tow. "So, what do you think, Cato?"

Cato blinked at the new room. Were they outside? But it wasn't cold in here... Wasn't it cold outside...? He was a little confused by all this and followed his new father without any complaint, too caught up in the room. "Uh?" He looked up as he was spoken to, blinking his many odd eyes once again. 'What did he think of it...?' Well... He didn't really know yet. At least it wasn't cold.

With some trouble, Salem got his hand out of Cato's, nearly picking up the infant a couple of times while he tried. "Alright Cato, I'm sorry for getting mad at you all those times you wouldn't give me the stuff you'd taken. Seems that it wasn't completely your falt. Now, we gotta fix this so you can let go when you want to, too. Understand? This is how we're going to do it. We're going to play catch, alright Cato? You sit down there and I'm going to sit here." He sat himself down and pulled out a ball. "I'm going to roll it to you and you roll it back, alright?"

Cato plopped down on his bottom, and spread his legs out like his new Daddy. He remembered playing this, it was fun! He smiled and got ready to push the ball back when it came to him.

Salem smiled, good, he was up for playing! And so he put the ball down between his splayed legs to keep it from rolling away from them and pushed the ball gently to Cato.

Cato giggled happily as the ball came rolling his way, his main and secondary arms reaching out for it as it came close. He caught it! "Yaayhehehehe!" He made to push it back, but the ball stayed firmly between all four of his little hands. "Uh...? Nuuuh!" He whinned and tried to get the ball to go back to Salem, his flailing causing his pendant to tinkle softly. He never took that pendant off, having had it for as long as he could remember. He always had a nice, warm, safe feeling from it and would fly into a fit of rage if anyone dared try and take it off. Salem had learned that very quickly. The pendant was visable for the first time simply because he wasn't all bundled up like he would need to be outside. Anyway... Why couldn't he let go of the ball?!?!

Catherine peeked into the room smiling at the sight of Cato and Salem. "Hey!" She waved, she felt far better than she did this morning. Canting her head to the side she blinked. "What's wrong with Cato?"

Buzzing in at full speed hearing the oh so familiar voice, Aphrodite zoomed in and nestled into Salem's hair, tighlty held in her arms was her faithful campanion Al. "Say! I miss you! Al miss you too." She smiled happily.

Catherine waited by the door, as her other two toddlers came in.

Clack! Clack! Clack!

Garreth blinked hearing the clacking from behind him as he traveled his way down the hallway.

Clack! Clack! Clack!

He meeped hurrying his pace.

Clack! Clack! Clack!

"Mama!! Nariko's doing it again!" The young dragon whined, nuzzling his face into his mother's thigh.

Right behind Garreth was Nariko who was stomping her feet against the tile, finding the noise her wooden shoes made hilarious. Clack! Clack! Clack!

Catherine made a face. "Nari-chan you know better than to scare your brother like that."

"Buh mama it's funnie" The asian toddler giggled, bringing her pale hand to her mouth. Clacking her way down the hall and into the jungle room.

"Come on Garreth, she's not going to scare you like that again.. and if she does she'll go in time out ok?" the plump witch smiled, ushering the large green dragon into the room. She sighed wondering how far long would it be before he was too big to go inside anymore. Shaking her head, she sat down next to Salem on the floor. sighing looking to Aphrodite, how long could she go on with out addressing Aphrodite's... problem.

Not far behind the mob that was Catherine's kids, was the rather quiet Baxterfullous a floating book following his every step.

"Huh? Oh, hey everybody. Um... I got Cato's 'Quest' or whatever. He's... Well... Sticky... I missed you too Aph-Sweety. You too Al." He smiled at them all weakly before looking back to Cato, "Come on Cato! You can do it! Throw the ball back to me!" He tried to sound as enthusiastic as possible, but he felt so bad at how upset Cato would get when he actually did want to let go of things and couldn't...

"OOOOOOFFUH!!!" He yelled at the ball, continuing to flail until the ball came off and flew back Salem's way. "Yee!" He smiled. There we go!

"Ack!" Salem just barly caught the ball before it clocked him in the nose. "Yeah... Like that... Way ta go Cato! Do it again!" With that he rolled the ball back gently.

And automaticly Cato caught it again.... And again was stuck. "NAAAAHHH!!" Stupid ball!!! Let go!!!!!!

Things didn't seem to be going anywhere fast yet...

Catherine blinked, it seemed she wasn't the only one with problems. Perking up her mood. "Come on Cato! Throw the ball back!" Well it figured he was sticky... being a spider.

Aphrodite blinked a bit, hugging Al tightly. "Cato sticky?" She giggled. "Cato's a silly baby!"

' I wouldn't do that if I were you, he might throw the ball at you.' A bell like laughed echoed quietly.

Aphrodite pouted. 'He's still a silly baby.' She thought, looking over at the flailing Cato.

Nariko ignored the commotion sitting on a swing. Kicking her leg's back and forth, she decided Cato flailing was far more amusing.

Garreth on the other hand didn't like seeing him struggle. "You can do it Cato!"

Cato's emerald eyes darted up to the little wasp mishap, growling softly... That...! That little...!! That little BUG!!! Tucking his legs in he braced both feet against the ball and gave it a harsh push sending it catapulting into Salem's chest. Now free of the ball he could deal with the twirp! Quickly flipping himself over he stood on all four hands and feet. With that he charged forward, surprisingly fast, "Stupeh buuuh!!!" He jumped up last minute and tried to take a swipe at her despite her perch in his caretaker's hair.

"Oof!! Ow... Well... That's one way to... Uh, oh... Aph, I'd run if I were you!" Afraid he might squish the little girl if he tried to protect her he simple hoped he could catch Cato before he could chase her again.

Aphrodite flew away screaming hiding in Nariko's hair. "Save me from him, he's gonna eats me!" She cried.

Nariko blinked, her hands gripping ropes of the swing she was on, she stared at Cato. There was no point to harm him unless he really did attack Aphrodite. "You don't gotta get mad at her jus' cuz she said you were silly. Pssh." Nariko shrugged, swinging back and forth.

Garreth blinked, climbing his way up the jungle gym. "Dite hide here with me, we can ply pretend." The dragon smiled, waving the wasp-mishap over.

Aphrodite nodded, flying out of Nariko's hair and to where Garreth hid.

Catherine sighed, looking at Cato. "Sweetie, calm down." She said picking him up by hiswasit, making sure she was touching only his clothes. Standing up she put him back down where he sat before. "Ignore her, getting angry isn't gonna solve anything." She said quite motherly. "Why don't pick up where we left off and I'll join in. " She said sitting down, glad she was wearing pants spreading her legs Like salem so instead they formed a triangle.

In the Living Room

Haze was somewhat pleased with the size of the establishment as it practically rivaled that of Wyndre Manor. In her arms she carried a groggy infant, and for once, the red head was glad she had been 'tasked' to carry Noi all those months ago. It certainly gave her a chance to practice carrying an infant the correct way.

Retta yawned and bleated softly, her tail dangling heavily due to the teacup attatched to it. She scanned her surroundings, wondering just what she and the red-haired woman were doing here.

"Come on, Dei.." Jizzy cried out as she entered the living room, back first. She'd been itching for a good game of cards and Deimos was about all she had. It was about time he learned to play poker anyways.

Deimos grumbled slightly as he trod in. He wondered what this poker thing was, but he didn't care to much. The only way that Jizzy had gotten him to come was that she said taht if he won, he wouldn have no more homework for teh rest of December. He coulcn't pass up a chance like taht could he.

Though his guardian had her back tot he room, Deimos didn't. He oticed the people inside and nodded a greeting. "Mother. There's people here." He said, allerting her, as she was probably to trip over someone, ebing the klutz she was.

Jizzy spun around. Oh there was! "Hello!" SHe cired out, beaming. Poker time, poker time. "You guys must be new here. I'm Jizzy!." SHe said. Indroductions first, then poker. "That's Deimos."

"Yes, quite new." Haze responded with a quirked brow at the woman's rather informal introduction. "I am Haze Wyndre, and this infant is Kalderetta Tazza Wyndre. Although it is best that she is addressed as Retta for the time being. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Jizzy, Deimos."

Now that she had formally given the child a proper sobriquet and made it public, Haze was as close to being motherly as she will ever be.

Retta set her eyes at the two figures before her, not sure of what to make of the loud one and the smaller one. She clung to Haze, and despite her guardian openly displaying her displeasure at having her hair touched, the Mishap didn't really care and held tightly to the silken strands.
