At first, Kii was a bit surprised at the way Rabid told this story, but soon started to laugh. "I see! I have to admit, my first meeting with Shavira was easy. It only came to the carrying her, feeding her and changing her that hurt.."
Shavira, still having no idea what her snakes were doing, poked one. "Wha's wong?" She said to the snake who merely looked at her and flickered his tongue.
Turning back to Malachi with a great big grin, Shavira pointed at his creation. "Wha's tha? Is goo." She patted more sand onto her own pile.

"Ooh...yeah," Rabid glaced quickly toward Shavira, "Good thing they're not poisonous, eh?" She skilfully ran up the slide and sat at its start.
Malachi smiled and pointed to a snake.
"Baugh," he pointed to his sand-snake, "Tah-doo." He had attempted a "thank you" but, alas, he couldn't quite make it sound right.

"oh, now how'd you figure they weren't poisonous?" She said with quite a deal of sarcasm. "But, yes, its a good thing." She watched as Rabid got prepared at the slide.
"Ah! BaH!" Shavira agreed. She understood it was a snake now. "Goo snake. Ssssnaaake..." She tried saying it slowly to teach Malachi. "Ike sei snaaaaake?"

Rabid laughed and slid down the slide, sitting at the bottom and watching the kids inthe sand pit. "It's a very good thing. Kind of like how Ike hasn't figured out that biting equals blood yet." She shuddered at the thought, but her smile stayed put.
"Tah-doo," Malachi repeated and furrowed his brow, "Thhh....thhhhhhh....baugh. ThhhsssSSSSSSsssssnaik....." He smiled, but his ears folded back. That whistling 's' was Hell on the his ears.

Kii felt the sudden urge to go down the slide herself...or go on the monkey bars or something, but resisted. "I'll bet...you're lucky. For now, anyway, yes?" She nodded, grinning.
Shavira, knowing how hard learning to speak was, patted Ike's hand. "Ish fahne..." (is fine) She said, still patting. "Yew ge' speaky soon..." (you get speak soon...AKA, you'll talk soon) Seeing Malachi's ears move, Shavi felt amazed. "Oooh! BAH! Mama do tha too!"

"We all are for now," she laughed and shook her head, "but I'm not too worried." She took a seat on one of the swings and pushed herself backward, subsequently sending herself forward and back like a pendulum.
"Ah," Malachi nodded, but cocked his head when Shavi mentioned her mother. She grinned and wiggled his ears back and forth quickly.

Shavira watched joyously as Malachi's ears wiggled quickly. She clapped, giggling. "Ike do betta tha Mama! Eeee!" She screeched, enjoying herself completely.
KiiMeLwi, hearing Shavira's comment, strode over to see what Malachi was doing better than her. "Ohh no! I have competition!" She declared to Rabid, faking being horrified. "Whatever will I do?!"

Malachi continued wiggling his ears until Shavi's mother approached, at which point he stopped completely. He made a small noise and quickly made his way to the lady's side and hugged her shin. He folded his ears back, determined to not wiggle them any more in front of Shavi-watcher.
Rabid giggled when she heard Kii. She stopped her swing and gave an exaggerated gasp, suddenly realizing where Malachi had gotten it from.
"I don't know!" she pretended to be mortified.
Malachi looked up at Mummy and screwed up his face. Why was ear-wiggling so bad?

Surprised, KiiMeLwi looked down at Malachi and grinned. "You ARE good at it, aren't you? Well, I'll have to say you win then." She attempted to bend down to his level, and managing only to bend forward a little bit without knocking out the baby in front of her, she wriggled her own ears, though much more feathery and less furry, the best she could. "What do you think, little Ike? Are you better than me?" She laughed, trying to encourage him to start ear wiggling again.
Shavira clapped even harder and almost toppled onto her back, which wouldn't have made her snakes very happy. "Ike betta! Ike betta!" She screeched, enjoying the faces her mother made, when she tried to be the best. She even tried wiggling her own ears, but only managed to turn pink in the face. Finally, she settled with grabbing her earings and wiggling them herself.

Malachi reached out for Shavi-watcher's ears and giggled. He wiggled his own quickly, alternating them and such. He wasn't trying to show off, just to have fun.
"Bah!' he called out and giggled. He turned toward Shavi when he heard his nickname and giggled harder. He reached for his own ears and folded the tips down, continuing to wiggle them. Now he could do it like Shavi!
Rabid giggled insanely as she watched, ultimately falling off the swing and rolling around on the ground.

KiiMeLwi's eyes bugged out as she watched Malachi wiggle his ears alternatively. "I'm pretty certain I can't do that. We have our winner!" She dramatically bowed down before the wiggle winner and held up one of his small arms carefully.
Shavira slid to get closer to Malachi and Mama, against the will of her snakes, but she ignored them. Trying to wiggle her ears again, she took one of Ike's and helped him wiggle like she did. "Ike goo'. Yus, Ike win!" She looked for something to give him as a prize, but only managed to find sand...so she made him a 'castle'. Or...a pile with a hole as a 'door'

Malachi giggled and then looked down at his "trophy".
"Fuh Ike?" he asked and gave an exaggerated gasp and clapping his free hand over his mouth.

KiiMeLwi, satisfied, released Malachi's tiny arm and backed away, towards Rabid, to see if she was alright. Falling out of a swing can be painful...
Shavi grinned. "Ike's cas-le!" She stuck a stick with a leaf on it on the very top. "Ike's flag!" She clapped her hands. "Ike ish King!"

Rabid's fit was not reduced to frequent snerking as she leaned against the leg of the swing set. She merely looked up at Kii as she spproached. Man, the corner of her mouth were starting to hurt...
Ike cheered and clapped, then giving Shavi a big hug.
"Ai keeng!" he threw his arms up in the air before grabbing a nearby leaf, similar to the one on his castle, and placing it on his head. "Pih-ee cassoo," he complimented Shavi on her craftsmanship.

KiiMeLwi grinned down at Rabid, her arms crossed. "Someone seems to be laughing at me. Poor dear...your sides must be killing you." She sighed and sat in front of her, stretching at the same time.
Shavira accepted the hug with one of her own. But her snakes were very unhappy...they wriggled as close to each other as they could behind her back, but one particular snake got stuck in between the two hugging Mishaps. Feeling uncomfortable, and quite afraid...it did the only thing it could do. Bite.
Small fangs sunk into the first thing it could find. Flesh. The flesh of Shavira's arm to be more specific. Feeling the sudden sharp pain in her arm, Shavira jumped away from Malachi, and screamed.
"Eh?!" KiiMeLwi shot up...a little to quickly, got dizzy and stumbled towards her Mishap. "Shavira!" She rushed to her side, her sight cleared, and she pinched the jaw of the snake doing the biting. "Let GO!" She put more pressure on its mouth, and it was forced to let go. It slithered away, and seemed to hang its head in shame...hiding with his friends who had turned to watch. "Oh, Shavi, Shavi...I know it hurts...lemme see..."
As Shavira sobbed, KiiMeLwi examined her bite. It wasn't deep, nor large. But it must have been sharp, and surprising. She sighed and pulled out a vial from a bag she always carried. "Poor baby..I'm sorry, let me make it better."
