My Hollow Rotting Gnarl I'm pretty damn sure Acid Bath and Old Man Gloom are sludge metal, but I don't see a sub-forum for it... Does this mean I get to make one? mrgreen Sludge falls under the doom sub-genre, therefore it belongs in the doom forum. It does? sweatdrop Why didn't I know that?... stare

One of my favorite bands, Venom. I know their early stuff isn't really that Black Metal, though they did coin the term, and it seems the later stuff drifted over to it. Which forum would they be under?

Anyone know the German band, Eisenherz, and what genre they are? Itunes says it's Goth Rock, but I'm not too sure... Oh, and I can try to find a link if nobody knows them... And if iTunes is right, I'll put something in the "Other Music" subforum...

CliffordTheBigRedDemon can you guys tell me if iron maiden is power or heavy? i've heard both, but it sounds more liek power to me- morem elodic i mean... they're heavy, but they had a huge influence on power, so it's easy to make that mistake.

Here's just a theoretical question: is a power/doom hybrid even musically possible?

ashlander_alpha Here's just a theoretical question: is a power/doom hybrid even musically possible? well the sword are doom with considerable influence from heavy... so i'm guessing it'd be possible to take influence from power, too, though i'm not sure how exactly one would accomplish that
