Later on, hours later, Bakura began to have a vivid nightmare. He was back there, back to the village of Kul Elna. He watched as his mother hid him behind a wall, knowing that the pharaoh's men wouldn't look there, and he watched it all. They had a big pot, and the smell of blood was overpowering. Bakura began to twitch, making small sounds, his eyelids fluttering but never quite opening, in his sleep.

Rei had woke up seeing him twitch "Bakura... 'kura wake up" she said gently patting his cheak looking worriedly down at him.

Bakura jerked and his eyes snapped open. Tears were in the corners of his eyes, and his pupils were pinpricks, red veins easily seen in the whites of his eyes. He stared at the ceiling, not even aware of Rei.

Rei pulled bakura up so he was sitting up and gently rubbed his back "Are you ok bakura?"

Bakura's hands clenched into fists as he lowered his head, shaking violently. "He killed them all, slaughtered them... The blood didn't touch him but he was still drowning in it..." Tears burned in his eyes again. "He didn't have to hear their screams... Damned pharaoh..."

Rei gently hugged bakura still rubbing his back.She was never sure how to comfort him.

Bakura gulped for air, not letting a single tear be shed. "Those items... the ones the priests had, with the eye symbol on them... that's why I hate the pharaoh. That's why I'm like this." He said, shaking his head. "It is not from gold that those items were forged, but from the darkness that resides in the hearts of men. The Millennium Items are forbidden artifacts of black magic. The evil power of darkness dwells within them. The one who owns all seven of them can forge a contract with the dark spirits of the afterworld." His eyes glittered dangerously as he spoke of them. "There was a village that had to be slaughtered, sacrificed, to forge those items, though. I am the sole survivor of that village... of Kul Elna." He spoke the name with a mix of hatred and deep pain. He actually winced in the memory. "They were made to protect the palace, since Kul Elna was just a village of thieves. They could be spared. I was just a child, and I got to watch my family, my friends, everyone I knew, be killed. Does anyone, even a low thief, deserve something like that?" Before he knew it, the tears were back, though he quickly blinked them away. "And now I plan to get them back, so I can unleash the true darkness within... Destroy the pharaoh as he has destroyed my life."

Rei's eyes widened. "thats awful.." she said softly "Im so sorry.." she said.

"He doesn't care. The pharaoh. They all think that I'm the bad guy of this story. That I'm the evil demon." Bakura's eyes narrowed as a more fierce look came on his face, his hands trembling as he dug his nails into his palms. "And I can go with that. Once I get all the Millennium Items, hell will be released. The shadows will consume their souls."

Rei made it so he uncurled his fist and held onto her hand "I dont think your bad or evil at all.." she smiled softly "Your kind and sweet to me.."

Bakura sighed, then got to his feet, letting go of Rei's hand. He took of his coat, dropping it to the floor, and went back outside.

Rei sighed softly and picked up his coat and set in on the coushions.She then followed after bakura "Please dont more to much bakura...You'll start bleeding agian." she said.

"Gotta finish things up." Bakura muttered, going over to the horse. For a moment it would seem that he wanted to get back on it to ride somewhere, maybe the palace to 'finish things up' there, but he just grabbed the reins and led the horse to a small shack off to the side of the house that would be able to serve as a temporary stable.
