"Meh...." Donovan grumbled realized he was getting caught up into a situtation beyond himself, which on the sense he didn't mind.
Yes... Kara really did rub off on him.
"And the sooner Triton's little trip into these lands is done, the sooner at least Serenity can live in a proper house and be with people without fear of getting anyone killed. She looks older," he commented randomly thinking about that.

Ulrich blinked a bit, then nodded. "Yes ..." he murmured. "I suppose she does ... although I suppose that there are many reasons for that. Not the least of course being the constant stress she lives under. But there's more, if you think about it."
He shrugged. "All I can say is, all of it could easily be avoided."

"To us yes, but it's never that easy," Donovan replied a bit sourly at the thought, "Well, we're not leaving any time soon, so if Serenity isn't such a hurry to leave herself, we'll stick around."
He raised a brow at Skye.
"Would you like that kid? Seeing Grandmother Serenity for longer?"
He wondered if she understood.

Ulrich's brow furrowed perplexedly. "Why would Serenity be in a hurry to leave? She always stays here for a week or two at a time ..."

Skye blinked, catching only a snatch of Donovan's question.
"S'enity bye," she blinked at him, pointing at the door.

Donovan shrugged, "I don't know Serneity's travel pattern, and I wouldn't blame her for being on her way again things tend to get stressful," he turned back to Skye.
The kid was confused, not surprising since she only got bits and pieces.
"Yes but Grandmother Serenity is going to come back, she isn't bye bye quite yet," he told Skye.

Now Skye was really confused.
She pointed at Kara. "A's Gamma," she said blankly. "S'enity no Gamma ..."
She scratched at her head in confusion.

Ulrich raised one eyebrow. "You ... said her sister is named Serenity, right?" he asked Donovan slowly. "Has Skye ever known two people with the same name before?"

Donovan blinked before wishing to whack himself upside the head, "Yes... yes I did... and no she has not, and for someone who can't hear that is a problem."
He sighed at this for a moment how was he going to explain to the little angel?

Kara giggled at the expression on Donovan's face, "Skye sweetie," Kara leaned over from where she sat on Donovan's lap, "That's not the same Serenity," she pointed at the door, "Not Sister Serenity, that is Grandma Serenity," she pointed to herself, "Grandma Kara," she pointed to the door, "Grandma Serenity."

Skye blinked, still not getting it.
"Gamma no Gamma?" she asked, sounding very confused indeed by now. "S'enity Gamma?"
She wasn't getting much else out of it.

Ulrich chuckled slightly at the entire situation ... this was certainly something he had never expected to see in his lifetime.
"Does she know any elvish?" he asked Donovan and Kara on a sudden hunch.

"She should know a bit," Kara replied slowly, "I know she has been teaching Celebor, but I never know how much Serenity understands or gets because of the differences in meaning."
That was actually a good question, but she supposed so.

Ulrich nodded thoughtfully, looking down at Skye, then picked her up and set her on his lap, facing him. He leaned close and spoke a few words to her in elvish, speaking slowly and exaggerating the sounds and mouth movements, wondering if she would understand.
"Serenity ich ew nako," he told her, watching her closely for her reaction.

Skye's eyes lit up. "S'enity Skye nako?" she repeated brightly. She twisted around, looking for Kara again, and pointed. "Gamma," she giggled, then pointed at the door again and said, "Nako!"
