It just seems a bit cleaner, that's all. It's not like it's really hurt anyone. if you have so much of a problem with it, put it to vote.

I have an idea if there's ever a real issue of clutter with Bios:
New subforum - RP Bios Threads - Each thread is the bio for all of one person's RP chars Sticky Thread - An index of the bios, functioning like so:
Bios for RPs FP - [link to bio thread] Nelo - [link to bio thread] CW - [link to bio thread]
That way, while you'd have a subforum full of disorderly crap, you have 1 single sticky thread where it's all indexed in a single small post that's easy to navigate without having to read through a bunch of others to find the one you're looking for.
It'd be a useful way to do it IMO if you decide to keep all RP bio info, even for those that are completed and won't be needed anymore, just in case someone wants to read through a finished RP and wants to see a certain char's info.

Exactly. It hasn't hurt anyone yet, so why the sudden urge to go stalin on the entire guild?
It seems as if this is just another purge the guild is going through. Ever since the subforum capability has come up, all we ever seem to want to do is reorganize this or unclutter that for no apparant reason.
How did we ever manage without this ability, if everything is so "unclean" and "cluttered".
Just because a thread manages to get a little long, it doesn't mean we have to necessarily dissect it down to a fragmented shell. What's next, making a subforum called the "mos eisley cantina" and using it as our random talk thread?
To me, it just seems as if all the effort we put into centralizing all these threads when we first started is now becoming an effort to make sure we can organize the entire guild into a databank so organized, it is cluttered unto itself.
Before subforums came about, nobody complained about how "cluttered" the front page was. But we also had prepared for such "clutter" by providing general topic ideas such as "rp bio thread" and "novel summarization thread" which were broad enough to contain the excessive need to have one specific topic which led to a guild's massive thread count that despite organized, lacked any ability to be really potent.
We don't need to split the threads up smaller and smaller just for the sake of a zealous crusade just because there is the ability to.
What's the point of having general thread topics, if all it ever causes is "clutter"? Why not just go all the way and make a subforum for rps, a subforum for bios, a subforum for random discussion, a subforum for the OT, a subforum for the PT, a subforum for technologies, a subforum for fanbased discussion, a subforum for notices, a subforum for votes and important issues, a subforum for records, a subforum for crew only, and so on and so on?
If you wish it to be so organized, that's eventually what teh guild will end up as. Soon, we'll need a guide just to find out which subforum is for questions, but not trivia, discussion, but not debate, and fanfics, but not rp.
Its just that to me, all this is is a complete desecration of the entire effort we originally set the guild up for, a few threads which cover broad topics so we don't have a thousand threads so specific that within two pages, their entire usefullness is expired. If you wish to change all of this, why not put it to the vote yourself?

DA's suggestion has merit, though I imagine it will be some time before the need for it exists. ^^

Yeah. I don't see it being used anytime soon, but later on, if we have like 10+ RPs, it'd probably be enough stuff to put into section all its own, where you won't have to scroll through a ton of text just to find one specific profile, and everything would be no hassle at all to find.
@Nelo: You forgot a subforum for an index of the other subforums to better find your way through everything. I mean, I'd prefer to click a single link to go to Subforum 1 Section C Thread 4 Page 9 Post 3, paragraph 4, sentence 9, starting at the word " is. " xd

Nelo, you're overexaggerating. To me, it sounds like a good idea. Maybe its just not running with you guys. I'll put it to vote, fine.

Maybe, but if we're going to overhaul this thing, why not do it completely?
Its not overexagerating, just doing things right the first time.

Hey what do you think about adding one more part to the OGG?
The last thing we want is to turn the OSWG into StupidShadow II, and I know for a fact there's a lot of fanon elements in the OGG, including ones made up by us.
How about we add a Status part, which could have different settings such as Canon, Fanon, Guild-made?

I like it... Won't add to clutter, and increases ease of use. Good Idea.

I had a thought..though judging from our previous track record, it probably won't work.
Similar to the unssucesful lottery, but more SW themed.
Pod Races.
We take like 12 racers, and every week we give each racer randomized number.
People then bet on their racer to win, and at the end of the week we randomize another # and whoever wins, wins.
I know it won't work, but it's a thought.

You know what I said.
I think the new guild armageddon set up is doing that.
And for your suggestion to do a "status" thing in the OGG, you or Cale should get on that.
