For some reason, Rain began to take on a sort of leaderesque role. "I doubt these LFOs that you're looking for will be in here," she said. "This building is used for research and..." she paused, "other things. Not to house any mechs. We're going to have to go outside and search from there."
What had come over her? She didn't know. Somehow, she seemed to have taken an "in control" attitude right then. It was probably so they could start to get somewhere and not wander around for hours in this maze of a building. It may also be that she was very eager to go outside. She hurried along to the staircase, her limping more obvious.
((EDIT: Haha, wow. Me and Shotty just posted at the same time. razz Pretty funny how where we said to go were the same. razz Oh, aren't coincidences amusing?! xd ))

Kayako stared at Rain for a moment, then ran after Gray; knowing all too well what he was capable of if he was left alone too long. At this point, it wasn't all just pure intuition. After all, no one could know that much about someone they'd never even met in person. It was also the heartbeat-like pulse coming from her own chest, which unlike his, was shining more out of empathy than out of blind rage.
Inside, just that fact made her feel extremely lucky.
'Wonder how far it is now......'

Rain looked back at them. They were going a different way than she. She wouldn't be able to keep up with their running because of her injured leg, so she decided to meet them outside.
Reaching the staircase, she hurried as fast as her knee would permit. Turning, turning, turning. Each corner turn became reduntant. Who know how many lefts she had made out of all the rights she took. Finally the staircase ended. There were two doors. One to the groundfloor and one to outside. Emergency Exit read a sign above her.
That's it. That's her door. With the alamrs already sounding, no one will notice someone went out this door. She pusched on the pushy-bar-thing and light began to leak through the crack of the door and door frame. "This is it," she said to herself. "I'm finally going to go outside."

As herself and Gray also reached the outdoors, Kayako looked around to watch for Rain. Gray was already continuing on across the feild, impatient as he always was. Seeing a door crack open near the side of the building and a familiar red-head peek out, she waved for her friend to join her; preferably quicky, before the other member of their group got too far away.

((ARGH!! Need name!! We'll use Superfriends as a holding until we get a permanent name. razz ))
The light blinded Rain at first. All she saw was white. As her barefoot stepped onto the cold, damp grass, she gasped. She stood frozen, taking in everything she saw at once. At last, her wish came true. She fulfilled part of that dream she had so much.
She was outside.
It took a while for her to see Kayako waving at her. Snapping back, her feet slapped against the grass as she limpedly jogged to her. The alien feel of a cool wind blowing against her, making her white invalid gown flow with it, enraptured her. She enjoyed everything she experienced. She caught up with Kayako and ran with her to keep up with Gray.

'Damn he's fast!'
Kayako and Rain sped up, finally catching up to Gray as he darted off in some unknown direction, following the signal of his LFO. Obviously he knew where he was going, and all they could do was trust him and hope he didn't get them lost.
But looking back at Rain, Kayako couldn't help but smile. She remembered back when she was that innocent. It seemed like it was a whole world apart now....
Off in the distance, a building could be seen. It was large, and outside of it were parked military vehicles carrying and towing hundreds of machine parts. It was deffinetly the hangar, which meant they were almost free....
((We may have to wait....I have NO idea where Shotty went, and I think Svener has something planned with Xellien, so we should hold off till tommorrow, kay?)))

((Aww.. but... but... NOOO!! crying It's only 8:30!! (for me at least) I'm having fun in my own little world!! *sigh* But if we must. razz Man.. this is like.. the first time we got Shotty to post more than once in one day. Go us!! xd ))
Carrying her guitar and running at the same time was beginning to become a burden. Luckily, she had a strap. She lifted her guitar and slung it across her back, the neck pointing up. She was feeling the wind blow all around her, and it was a great feeling. She felt like breaking out into a smile, but was holding back. She felt now was not the time and that even though she felt so great, she just couldn't.
She ran along with her new companions towards the hangar. We're almost there... she thought as she limpedly ran across the grass. We're almost out of here...

(("Shotty" is kinda tired and you post really fast; and he had to go make a thread and take care of other delayed posts. I'd apricate it of you kindly followed turn system and wiated for me to reply; thus avioding two conflicting posts at once. Aslo, my aceptable nickname is "Sho", not "Shotty".))
Gray began to feel as through he was underwater; swimming for a precious breath of air; The closer he got, the greater the feeling of something missing! Gray sprinted faster, becoming oblivious to all but the singular pulse drawning him in. First, the LFO....then he'd take revenge! Yes,YES! KILL THEM ALL- No!
Another slip. The power flooding his veins was intoxicating, no doubt Xellien's twisted desires counted on that! No, the time for Xellien was soon, but other things called....Like Mercury, like Kayako...Like...like... R-E-V-E-N-G-E ..... Maybe, But only if... Oh, But he wanted to break something sooo badly!

(( I don't have anything planned on my part, at least nothing that is going to happen soon. Xellien is going to disappear for a while. So you guys can go right on ahead, if anything on my part is holding you back.))
Xellien strolled across the grounds, seeming to be in no hurry at all. Even though the commotion from the building aside him was clearly reaching his ears.
While he walked along, he glanced at the small curving blades of the dark green grass. The grass reflected the drenched whether that constantly surrounded the area. For now the skies were clear, but it was assumable that another storm would hit tomorrow.
“Professor Xellien?” A mature male voice called from beside him. Xellien briefly turned his head to see a man walking with a lab coat tightened around him.
“When did you land?” Xellien asked and faced forward again.
“An hour ago, the weapon is still safe. Although, I thought I avoided the commotion.” He turned around and walked backwards, listening to the yells of soldiers in the distance and their urgent cries of command echoing behind.
“It was unavoidable, where have you landed the shuttle?”
“Just beyond down this path, it took me some time to find you.” The stranger laughed slightly.
“Really? I apologize for that, I thought we arranged the plan more properly.” Xellien responded shortly.
They both continued to walk further, little conversation taking place between them. The wind softly brushed across their backs. Its motion rolled across the grass, sending the thin little blades to curl against the push. Following shortly after came a ring. It wasn’t loud, or shaky. The ring was smooth and solid, almost polishing the meaning of sound with its musical flow.
“Bells… no.” Xellien started and glanced over that forest. As the wind became harder, the more rings filled the air.
“What is it?” The man asked as they continued to walk.
“You know what that sound is? It’s apart of culture. They’re very much like bells, but very different in their own way. Thousands of years ago, on the planet earth, they were called wind chimes.” Xellien smiled softly. He closed his eyes and let the sound absorb into his body, “It’s a beautiful sound. It’s so pristine, clean, and… crystalline. If you agree that is.” Xellien commented and pointed a curious eye at the man. The man responded by rolling his eyes and turning away, “My wife loved them, as did I. She hung them on our front porch, letting the wind ring the soft sounds.”
“Wait, you have a wife?” The man suddenly perked up at the idea. Xellien nodded his head casually, not being perturbed at his odd reaction.
“Yes, Artisen, but this is beside the point. Wind Chimes are like instruments that only the wind can play. Those mystical bells take the winds flow and translate it into words and meaning. Yes… that’s exactly what wind chimes are, an instrument for the wind to tell us its wisdom. It’s almost like the Compac drive, or maybe even the Inverse Drive. Taking the beautiful wind of the trapar, and translating the thoughts of the coralians into words and meaning.” He paused and took on a ponderous face. Artisen looked at him uncomfortably, finding what he said very odd and random.
“Coralian?” Artisen murmured as they walked into the forest. As they did so, the sound of the wind chimes became thicker, stronger, and cleaner.

(((THIS IS FOR YOU REKKA!!! I thought I'd write in something 'special'... A note: I have not the SLIGHTEST clue at LFO-speak!! I'm wingin' it...so be gentle.....>.<)))
Wind dancing at their backs, the trio finally reached the edge of the launch pad in front of the hangar, and seeing it also deserted like the rest of the foundation, began walking at a normal pace towards the main building.
Kayako was still keeping an eye on Gray as he continued onward, clenching his fists at seemingly random intervals. Strolling at his side, she leaned down every once and awhile to get a look at his face, reading his tornado of emotions to the best of her ability. Of course, she had a little help with that, via the increasingly more frequent pulses of energy from her chest, which had almost tripped her on the way there more than once.
'The pulses.....uh-oh......'
She twirled around, retrieving an empty bottle from the ground behind them. When she caught up with Gray again, she held it out to him with a determined and slightly akward look on her face.
"Here....Smash this, and pretend this is Xellien's HEAD for awhile!"
Kayako shoved the bottle at his chest, forcing him to take hold of it. Then she sighed, turning back to her front so she could focus on the task at hand. There was a familiar voice, that she could hear echoing through her mind like she used to every day before all this had happened. It made her happy to connect with Senturi again; he'd been almost eerily quiet ever since they were separated after the air fight that brought her here.
But Senturi wasn't contacting her as a greeting....he had something else on his mind. The tone was quiet, and deadly serious; more like a note of caution than a 'welecome home'.
'The other one.....'
'What..?'
'There is another one here...the one they call 'Eden'......who is not like this one, or like Mercury. It is still small, the men who created this one have just finished on it.....'
Kayako was confused.
'So....what? They must be making it for one of the other kids at the foundation. What does it have to do with us? I mean, it's not a threat by itself....is the pilot there?'
Senturi grew quiet for a moment, and Kayako took the opportunity to keep an eye on her friends. Gray was still beside her, sporting a somewhat confused look at the bottle in his hands. Rain stood behind them, scanning the area around them, as well as the sky above; something she'd never been able to do before.
Kayako walked a little ways ahead of them, studying the building. The outside door was open, but their LFO's were likely stored somewhere in a more secured area, meaning that they'd have to do some lock-picking before they could get to them. The personel who manned the hangar were nowhere to be found, most likely deployed to help with the commotion at the main foundation. If they were careful, they just might stand a chance of getting away.
A echoing voice went through her mind again. Senturi seemed less upset, but still insited upon the other LFO that was stored with them, this 'Eden'. Honestly, Kayako was getting annoyed at this, after all it wasn't their concern....
'Senturi, it's not our problem if-'
'The one they created him for, the pilot....she is with you.'
'Wait....what?? The only people here are...'
As she spun around, her eyes fell on a splash of red hair, flipping in the wind....

((Oh, SWEET!!! ^___^ I get a thing!!! ^___^ I like things!!! xd Thank you, Kaya!!! xd THING!!))
Rain was astounded by all she saw. All she had ever known in the life she could remember was white and mundane. Everything here, even though dull, had color. Sure, it was all grays and darks, but it was different from the white and bright she had known.
Looking at Kayako, she noticed she was completely with them in some kind of way. Walking towards her, she asked, "Kayako? Are you alright?"

"Hmm? Oh, yea, I'm fine! Just was thinking..."
Kayako smiled a nervous smile, and then continued after Gray, who in turn was still confused over the bottle, but had stuck it in his pocket for no apparent reason at all.
Silently, she went over what Senturi had said. She wondered if Rain knew...
"Hey...Rain? At the foundation, did they ever...talk about your furture? I mean, did they ever say what they had planned for you?"

Rain thought about her question. "No," she answered simply. "The only thing I was ever told was that I was useless, and it was those Ageha kids that told me that." She stood with her hands behind her back, still looking around the area. "Why do you ask?"

Kayako was hesitant, but she figured that in all reality, Rain was going to find out anyways, so she might as well share the news Senturi had brought her.
"Well....Senturi, that's my LFO, he was just in contact with me. And he told me...he told me that there's another LFO being stored with him and Mercury, they just made it....And he says... that the pilot is with me. So that means....it's yours."
Saying something like that felt akward, but it was the truth. Whether or not she thought it, obviously Rain possesed some skill that the scientists felt made her worthy of their machines.
And apparently, Senturi knew that it needed to be with it's pilot, just like he needed to be with Kayako.
