Kelala growled at himd eciding she might as well jump now. It wasn't like he was going to go away. Crouching low she leaped to the next branch. Barely missing it as she gripped on with her claws. Swinging herself up she perched on the branch before taking a deep breath.

The thought of catching her passed through Ovaan's mind. He'd drag her back up to the tree hollow and pin her to the wall, breakdown or not. But remembering her horror, he paused only a second, allowing her to jump past him. Her motion caused him to lose his balance in the air, and he floundered a bit before landing on the branch she now occupied. "Alright, enough," he snapped.
And odd wind seemed to pick up and his eyes glowed softly, a deep, rich green. Though othe rthings about him may have been questionable, his skill with magic and spell-casting was not one of them. How he had come to learn such powerful magics was debatable, but he sure did know them, and it was with these that he trapped her by gesturing vaguely at the branch on which she stood. Vine-like, tentacled apendages of the tree itself shot up, wrapping around her and immediately anchoring her to the branch where she stood, pinning her arms by her side.
Sure, he figured she was going to panic, but that would just make his message have more weight.
He approached her, circling behind her, and wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder and holding her in an incredibly seductive manner. He cut straight to the chase. "You want me to let you go?" He asked softly, tauntingly, yet somehow gently.

Kelala gasped as the vines wrapped around her. She attempted to bolt but she was a second to late as she was entirnwed in the vines grasp. Instead of screaming out she gritted her teeth and growled as she struggled against the bindings.
The last thing she expected was him coming up behind her. Litteraly for one moment she didn't breath as she held her breath. A shudder went up her spine for what reason she didn't know. Mayvbe for the fact he just whispered that in her ear. Or it could have been for the fact that he was holding her hostage yet again and was scared. "Please...let me go." She whispered in a rough voice desperate to get away at the moment

"Aww, are you afraid, Kelala?" He teased, one hand drifting up to take hold of her chin, forcing her to turn her head toward him, so that their noses were pratically touching. "Poor baby."
He had learned from the beginning that the best way to get what he wanted from her was to be tender. Touch her, hold her, be gentle and sexy and provocative. If he could hold, touch her, flirt with her just right, her defenses would just fall away and she would stop resisting him.

Kelala bit back a whimpre that was threatening to escape. Instead she just narrowed her eyes at him. "What do you want from me hmm? If there is no reason for me to stay I will take my leave." She gorwled out as she glared into his eyes. But she never removed her face from his grasp. Though beyond her control a slight blush was tinting her cheeks without her knowledge.

For a moment he was afraid of her. The growl seemed to hit something in the back of his mind, some dark memory that caused him to shudder. But just as quickly as it hit, he was himself again, if that was possible. He released her chin forcefully, flicking his hand as he did so and causing the vines to tighten around her ankles, making her lose her balance. Since he was holding on to her, she fell against him, leaving him the only thing keeping her upright and, if the vines weren't secured to the branch, from toppling the great distance to the ground. "There is every reason for you to stay." He murmurred darkly. "You can't go."

"No there is no reason for me to stay and the only thing keeping me here is you." Kelala said venom dripping in her voice as she struggleda gainst him. Perferring the chances of falling to the ground at the moment then staying here in his arms as if they were lovers.

This time he was ready for her anger, and combatted it only with his own, which was dangeorusly unpredictable. "The only thing keeping you alive is me." He hissed in her ear. He shoved her hard against rough bark of the tree's trunk. The vines slithered off of her but before she could react, he'd taken hold of her wrists behind her back, pressing her front forcefully against the bark. "If you want to leave, I have to mark you. Otherwise, It will kill you. And if you're so willing to die, why don't you just let me kill you and get it over with? At least that way you would have a funeral." He was mocking her as he summoned his lantern, keeping her wrists together with a single hand on her lower back.

"I bet there isn't anything out there that might kill me. You just want to keep me here for some insane reason!" She yelled at him as she attempted to rip from his grasp. Being here forever with just him was like a prison. She couldn't handle that. On top of that she couldn't forget her mission here. And that didn't include staying in the trees with a nut case.

Now he was really mad. The air around them seemed to crackle iwth energy. His eyes were a deep, angry purple as he lifted his hand from hers to shoot a burst of fiery magic at her back with enough force and heat to burn right through her shirt and lick at her back like fire.

A scream ripped through her throat that echoed through the forest. Tears flowed from her eyes as her body stiffened in his grip. The pain of the burn was nothing like she felt before and it seemed as her body was shutting odwn. Her screaming came to a cease as her eyes closed and she fell limp in his grasp. Passing out from fatigue shock and pain.

He stopped the spell when she screamed, stumbling back in surprise. He'd actually hurt her... He moved forward instinctively to catch her from behind as she fainted, which probably just hurt her even more. Now what? Panicking, he picked her up like a baby and flew the short flight back up to the tree hollow. He kicked a few of the blankets around on the floor, creating a little lumpy nest for her, and carefully laid her down on her stomach.
Great. Now he had to fix her.
This was all her fault, he told himself, she'd been asking for it. If she'd just be obedient, he wouldn't have to lose his temper. Besides, she was fine. It wasn't like he'd killed her or anything. She was just shocked, that was all. Nothing he couldn't fix.
He gingerly peeled the tunic -his tunic, he thought angrily, how dare she ruin it?!- from her burned flesh, and then her bodice. Yikes, that was going to be hard to replace. He could make another shirt, but...well, he'd never had to make a bodice before. He frowned, pulling both the tunic and bodice away from her and tossing them aside. Realizing that he had now left her bare-topped (though really, after her behavior this morning, he ought to just leave her that way out of spite), he gingerly wrapped a blanket around her, tying it at the back of her waist, well away from the burn. It wouldn't do any good if she moved much, but for now it was sufficient as he cleaned the burn.
But this was completely her fault.

Kelala whimpered and shifted slightly. A hiss escaped her lips as she layed still. Her body figuring it was better to stay still the endure that pain again. Hot tears streaked down her cheeks as she continued to whimper in her sleep.

Ovaan paused in his work as she moved and whimpered. He watched her carefully, as though afraid of being caught cleaning her. After a moment he allowed himself to relax and get back to work on the burn. It was as clean as it was going to get for now. He rocked back onto his heels and looked down at her, tossing the bloody cloth aside. "Next time," He told her unconscious body. "You'll know better than to get me angry." He said it simply, not as a threat. Kneeling onto his knees again, he placed his palm against her back and sent a wave of coolling magic into the burn. It began to heal, the process sped up by his magic, but even with that it would take her at least a day to repair. At least it wouldn't be infected.

Her whimperings began to slowly cease. The cooling magick setteled into the burn calmed her. The pain began to eb away slowly. THough it was still there it wasnt as unbearable as it was at first.
