Tuk's ears flattened against his skull. Not in anger, nor disgust but....of an awkward feeling of insecurity. He batted at the ground for a few moments, not wanting the break the breif silence between them. "Ah don't do well with others, as ya might remember. I'd love ta stay and 'elp ya a bit but...I'm not tha most trusting of 'yenas." His eyes were stuck on watching the dirt shift underneath him, for his head was closer to the ground then he realised. His breath shifted the little specks of dirt away from him, creating a harsh, hard sopt that didn't appear as if it wanted to budge. He fought down to keep colour away from his face. He feared things like packs....he didn't trust others at all, since what his stupid family did to him....pah. He slammed his paw down at the dirt area he was staring at, and closed his eyes. That was in the past, who cared?

Mafa scoffed, shaking her head and sending her dull flying out in bits into the dry air. He was lying. He didn't want to stay at all. Of course he was all talk, he had been ever since she had met him so long ago. Her frame stiffened lightly, staring at Tuk intently,
"Not like I want you around anyways, there's just nothing to establish if I'm here by myself."
Mafa lifted her head up for the first time in weeks, showing her actual height. She took a step toward Tuk, who had his head in the ground and looked down at him, trying to look intimidating,
"You'll stay. At least until there are more of our kind here, then you can run off with your tail between your legs. You're not my friend, I don't care for you, but I do trust you. You're staying."
With her words she backed away from him. Her words had a sense of self proclaimed authority in them. It was his idea to do something about it and he'd stay to help her start things out. Whether he liked it or not.

"Tch." Tukutu looked up at her, noticing how much more she'd grown then he first thought. Not that it mattered much to him, she still didn't look too tough. "Not like I'd want someone like you to be bossin' me around, Mafa. But whatever. An' don't claim things that haven't happened yet, 'cause I ain't leavin." He spat at the ground, feeling insulted. What a rude thing to say to him, when he was the one who'd of gotten her up outta her stupid childish moping to do something.

"Good, so get used to it. Come on."
Mafa huffed and turned around, looking toward the direction in which she had come; the giant skull. The center of everything in the graveyard. Mafa's current source of shelter. She didn't know if he infact wasn't leaving just to piss her off or if he just didn't have any other place to go. She let out a sigh of annoyance, turning her head to look back at him looking rather angry. There was no way she could say something that wouldn't bother him. It had always been like that. The two had never been on good terms. She knew in the back of her mind that eventually she'd have to suck up what pride she had left and accept him as her equal if this whole pack thing was going to work, but for now, she'd be boss, and he'd listen. Not that she knew what to boss him around about.

Mild curiosity overcame Tukutu. What the heck was she thinking? He didn't know, and with that glare she sent back at him from her climbing up the skull, he really didn't know what to think now. Didn't he say he'd help?? She, he might not be the best help around, but he didn't have anything better to do. Or anywhere else to go. Plus it might be kind of nice not having to fully worry about himself for a while. Plus it might be kinda fun kissing up to her...heh.
"Eh, I'll follow ye whereva, Maf."

Mafa nodded lightly, that's what she wanted to hear. Things were looking up, only slightly. At least the hyena population of the graveyard had grown from one, to two. Doubled. Even though it didn't seem like all too much. Her head whipped back to face forward, the dust that had been collecting in her coat sent flying, creating a cloud of light dust around her head. With a light trot she made her way back to the skull and hopped onto the right tusk.
"Here's a good look out point"
Her words as usual lacked emotion but held a frankness to them. She wasn't sure of what else to do other than to show him around the place she knew best. Without looking to him she hopped from the tusk and landed in the dry soil. Another cloud of dust floated up, bigger this time. All those clouds only helped emphasize how much the place was in need of rain, or some paws to stomp it down. She moved into the gaping, toothless mouth of the skull and paused there. The inside of the skull was spacious and there was a ditch she had dug out in one of the rounded corner, obviously where she liked to sleep. There were scattered bones lying around, some elephant and some of rodents, just scraps really.
"Home. Make something of it."

Tuk followed her as she romped around the skull, observing with a quiet not here, a grunt there. He didn't know what to make of the actions she was doing, so he did his best to keep himself humbled and quiet. When she led him into where she had been living, he peeked in with boyish curiosity, wondering just how she'd lived on such little scraps. He certainly hadn't done much better....but still. It seemed like such a small amount. He squared his shoulders up and grunted. Perhaps when there were more of them around, there could actually be hunts, steals from kills, and actual, decent meals. He did his best to keep his mouth from watering. That sounded fantastic. But, he told himself, don't skip that far ahead. Chiding piece of him sure got annoying. When actually entering his whole self into where Mafa had made her home, he sat down away from where she visibly slept, his tail flopped on the ground, few bits of dust flipping up. He quietly observed the surroundings, and what could be seen from his point of view of the outside world.

Mafa eyed Tukutu warily as he settled down in his own section of the skull. She let out a nod of approval and turned from him, leaning her side onto the side of the skull and letting her dull, aqua gaze glance out and around the desolate place.
"How're we going to get others here. Do you know any other hyenas?"
Mafa had been wondering this herself ever since she opened her mouth and declared herself boss. Mafa remembered knowing a certain Kicheko but where that one was now she had no idea of knowing. Certainly Tuk had to have some friends out there...

Kivumbi entered the graveyard as the howling winds surrounded her for once she was quite frightened in a familiar area. She continued walking through the barren land. Her stomach grumbled, she hadn't eaten in a while she couldn't even remember the last time. Kivu approached a cluster of elephant skulls and femur bones. She noticed 2 creatures that blended well inside of the skull. She entered the skull trying not to seem as an enemy noticing a familiar face. It was Tukutu, "Allo again" she said. "Mind if I join you? I haven't eaten in almost days..."

Tuk scratched at his ear with a forepaw, quite awkwardly as he almost fell over, before answering. "Ah've met a little brown 'yena before, but ah can't remember 'er name. It was a longun time 'go." He blinked a few times and stared at Mafa. She sure was acting a little more like the Mafa he remembered. Bossy, but in a mild sort of matter. In a way, it could be comforting....until he remembered that it was Mafa he was thinking about. Blech. He answered her other thought that was spoken outloud, but not directly a question. "Mehbe we could get some rumors spreadin' about the graveyard. Birds ne'er seem to shush about them kinda things."
(added) Tuk turned his head around, taken aback by the sudden 'visit' of said brown hyena. A bit shocked, he stumbled out some words quite quickly. "Er...'alo there." He sure didn't remember her name....but whatever.

Once again Mafa nodded quietly. She hadn't really given Tukutu much thought and she wasn't planning on it. She wasn't one to make friends, aquaintances, maybe. She already knew him, and that was all she cared for. The only other hyena she had felt anything for had been Banzai, but for all she knew he was gone forever. He had left with her feelings, and she didn't know how to get them back. Mafa closed her eyes for a few seconds as she thought and when she opened them again, a surprise met her. Well speak of the devil... Almost in an instant reaction, Mafa's lips curled up in a growl. A strange female had just entered her home. And then as soon as she did she forced herself to ease up. No one would stay if she attacked them.
"This the one Tuk?"
She turned her head and questioned him, not even paying attention to the brown hyena. What a rude little female, Mafa hadn't eaten in about a week, what was she complaining about?
"Won't find any food here either, don't get your hopes up"
Mafa's tone was almost cruel in a sort. She forced a bit of authority into it, raising her head as she spoke. The brown one would know who was boss around here. At least since a few minutes ago.

Tuk kept himself and his emotions a little locked up at the moment. He felt a little rushed to, with Mafa and the brown 'yena both near him. He gave a quick little nod towards Mafa, and went back to scratching his ear, but with his back foot this time. Mmmm....felt good. Once he was done giving himself a good scratching, he gave a little, not-needed yawn and looked towards the little brown female....even if she wasn't totally little. "Eh, none of us 'ave had much ta eat lately. There ain't much wat'r nither."

Kivu felt slightly offended at first from the other females reply. "Sorry, I didn't mean to invade on your food in the least bit."
She looked back at Tuk and said with sullen eyes "Dont you remember me?" "Well, Im Kivumbi" she mumbled feeling a little unaccepted.
Kivumbi lost all hope of finally finding acceptance. First the lions now her own kind. She turned around and started to head out of the cavity...

Tuks' ears flicked forward and backwards, many times. He didn't know what to do, since Mafa seemed to of spaced out. Great, what a great time doing that Mafa, he thought. Clearing his throat a bit, he gave a quick little answer to her words. "'Ell, yah just kinda barged in 'ere. Ermm...Kivumbi. Ah'm not too good with names. Easy names like Mafa's ah can do. But 'enrways, ya don't just go bargin' inta homes of ones that ya not too keen with, aye?" ....he felt like an idiot. Why was he trying so hard so be nice?

She looked back at Tukutu.
"Yes I know, I should've considered a more proper introduction. My apologies to both of you"
She felt a warm sensation in her stomach of acceptance, mainly from Tuk. Re-entering the skull she walked near Tuk and sat down warily looking at Mafa wondering what could be going through her mind.
