Episode 17: The girl who fell from the sky

"OH HIGH ONES, WATCH OUT!!!!!"
All looked up, seeing something falling from the sky. The next moment all looked down, seeing Matsuru on the ground with a girl on top of him.
"Sushi, are you all right?!" All looked up again.
The girl on Matsuru rubbed her head. "Yes, I'm fine! Thanks for caring!"
"I don't care about you!" The girl yelled back. "I just didn't want to hear you wail again!"
"That happened only once!"
"Try 4 times!"
"How about getting off me?!" Matsuru yelled.
The girl jumped up from Matsuru with an embarrassed smile. "Oops, I'm so sorry!"
All looked at the shorthaired girl. Her skin was pale and her ears... they were pointy and long! "Rabbit?" Naraku asked.
"What the?" The girl named Sushi asked and stepped back when Naraku tried to touch her ears. "Hey, back off!! Never seen an Elf before?!"
"Elf?" Naraku tipped her head and looked curious.
Blade tried to explain it while Matsuru slowly got up and the other girl came down. "Elves are kinda like humans, only they feel a lot closer with nature." It was so hard to explain this simple. "They feel like they are one with the trees and the flowers, and can command them."
"Well, not this one." The other girl whispered.
Naraku looked at the other girl. Her hair was black and wavy, and her skin was brown! "You dirty?" She asked.
The brown skinned girl felt insulted while Sushi laughed. "Shut up Sushi!" She bellowed. But Sushi didn't stop.
"Naraku." Blade continued. "She is not dirty. Her skin is just that colour."
"People have different colours?" Naraku asked.
Blade nodded. "Yes, all kinds of colours! One day you'll see them all!"
"Haha!" Sushi laughed. "Mayonaka is dirty!" She rolled over the floor.
"Shut up Sushi!!" Mayonaka ordered. She grabbed Sushi's long ear and pulled her up. Sushi yelped from pain.
"Ow Mayo!" Sushi cried. "Let go!"
"And stop calling me Mayo!" Mayonaka let her go. Sushi rubbed her painful ear. "Now, apologise to the guy whose back you almost broke with your heavy body."
"I'm not heavy." Sushi whispered, but knew Mayonaka was right about the apologising. "I'm sorry." She bowed polite.
Matsuru dusted himself. "It's okay." He replied. "I hope you are not hurt?"
"Nah." Sushi smiled. "Or as Mayo-" Mayonaka glazed at her. "-Naka would say: there is nothing up here I can damage anyway." Sushi pulled Matsuru close. "She's really smart you know!" She whispered. "She can READ and WRITE!"
Mayonaka sighed embarrassed. "Well, we'd better go now." She decided. "Sorry for interrupting you."
"Just curious." Matsuru started. "Where are you heading?" An Elf and a brown skinned girl who could read and write... now that was a rare sight in this region!
"North." Sushi replied. "Actually, I wanted to go South, but Mayo...naka doesn't want to go South."
"Well, I wouldn't advise that anyway." Matsuru answered. "A lot of villages are being destroyed right now." He actually wanted to tell about the Black Knights, but he had no clue if Amordus was still alive and what the army would do right now. He just felt it wasn't safe. And these were just 2 girls...
"So, where are you heading to?" Sushi yapped on.
"North." Blade replied. "No clue where, just North."
"Hey!" Sushi got a bright idea. "Why won't we travel together for a while!"
"No!" Both boys and Mayonaka replied.
"You can't come along with us!" Matsuru decided.
"Why not?" Sushi asked.
"Because..." What should he answer. "Because being with us is not safe..." He confessed.
"Why?" Sushi was so curious.
Naraku opened her mouth. "Amordus." She said. "He want Naraku. I not like."
"What's wrong with her?" Mayonaka asked.
Matsuru looked a tad sad. "Naraku can't talk that well yet. She's still learning." Wouldn't it be dangerous if he told it all? What if they were spies? "I don't know why Amordus wants her, but if he will, he'll kill her. That's for sure!"
"Evil guy!" Sushi screamed out, but got ignored by all.
Mayonaka looked at Naraku. "What is so special about her?" Matsuru shrugged, telling her he had no clue why Amordus wanted her. "Anyway, I still don't think it's a good idea to travel with you guys. But maybe we can help each other to get off this mountain?"
This idea sounded okay to Blade and Matsuru and both nodded. The girls obviously needed help to climb down this harsh and terrible mountain! Sushi leaped up and landed on a rock below; elegant as a deer. "Hey, what's keeping you guys?" She yelled back.

It took them a while, but finally they found a normal path. Naraku walked between the horses, and Sushi yapped on against Blade, who seemed to listen, but didn't listen at all!
Matsuru walked besides Mayonaka and sometimes he couldn't help but looking at her. She was so pretty! Okay, not as pretty as Naraku, but she had something really charming too! And if Sushi spoke the truth... writing and reading! Mayonaka should be really smart then! 'I wonder where she learned that?' He pondered.
From the corner of his eyes, he observed her closely. She wore a nice dress, but nothing on her body showed signs of work. Her walk was filled with elegance.
"What are you looking at?" Mayonaka snapped. Her voice certainly wasn't filled with elegance!
Matsuru looked back. "Nothing special!" He tried.
Mayonaka released a 'hmpf' and stuck her nose high.

The night was about to fall when they reached the bottom of the mountain. "Let's make a camp here." Blade suggested. He looked at the leaves. "And maybe Sushi can create some sort of roof with her earth powers." All looked at Sushi, who was shocked. Then her face saddened up and she turned away. "Something I said?" Blade asked.
"You fool!" Mayonaka snapped. "Why do guys always think they know everything?"
"I just asked if she could use her earth powers!" Blade defended himself. "It wasn't that much!"
"Maybe it is to her." Matsuru walked at Sushi. "Sushi... you don't have earth powers, do you?"
Sushi nodded, but Blade interrupted. "What?! But ALL Elves have earth powers!"
"Well, not this Elf!" Sushi yelled out. "Thanks for reminding me!"
Naraku looked at Sushi. "What is earth powers?" She asked.
Sushi sighed. "All Elves have the power to let things grow." She explained. "The complete forest is at our command..."
Naraku was confused, she didn't get it at all! "Sushi can let things grow?" She asked.
Sushi shook her head. "Not me." She whispered. "But hey, at least that makes me different!" She looked up with a fake smile.
"I'm sorry Sushi." Blade apologised. "I thought all Elves..."
Sushi waved his apology away. "Hey, you didn't know! And besides, I don't care at all!" She walked away, hoping no one would see the tear she pushed away. "Well, let's put this woods on fire!"

Later that night, Sushi, Blade and Naraku had fallen asleep. For the first time in days she didn't clinched to Matsuru, who sat on the other side of the fire with Mayonaka. Both stared into the fire, until Mayonaka took a book from her bag.
"Is that a book?" Matsuru asked.
Mayonaka nodded. "Haven't seen one before?" Matsuru shook his head. She handed it to him. "Go ahead, take a look. Just be careful!"
Matsuru opened the book and let his fingers slide over the pages. "How can you read this?"
"I can't." Mayonaka said and took the book. She turned it upside down. "But this way I can read."
Matsuru blushed embarrassed and Mayonaka giggled. "So, what's this book about?" He asked.
"Sushi bought it for me." She answered. "She can't read that well herself so she didn't knew what she bought me. It's a book with fairytales."
"Fairytales are nice." Matsuru said.
"They are for kids." Mayonaka looked at it. "But it's the only book I have."
"Where did you learn to read?" Matsuru asked.
Mayonaka smiled. "My father hired a teacher." She said.
Matsuru looked at the pages with weird signs. "Do you think... you can teach me how to read?"
Mayonaka's laugh filled the air. "You can't learn how to read in one night!"
"Does that mean Sushi and you will leave us tomorrow?" Actually Matsuru liked the company of the 2 girls. Maybe it was just because of the new faces and that they were very friendly. But asking them to stay would mean asking them to put themselves into danger!
Mayonaka got silent. "Maybe..." She said after a while. "I'm tired." She then said and lay herself on the ground. "Good night."
"Good night." Matsuru greeted her. He saw she was holding the book very close to her. Then he laid himself down as well and yawned when he closed his eyes.

The next morning, Sushi was the first to wake up. She stretched herself, and scratched with her hand through her hairs. Sushi looked around and saw the horses. "Good morning." She walked at them and patted them. "Slept well?" When she turned back, her heart skipped a beat! Startled she looked into a pair of orange eyes. "Sjeez, Naraku!" Sushi saw the girl standing before her. "You scared me! Are you always this silent?"
Naraku didn't get what she meant, but shrugged it away. "I wake up, I see Sushi. I want say 'Good Morning' to Sushi." She said. "Good Morning."
Sushi smiled. "Good Morning to you too!" She replied and then observed her. "Man, who picked out your outfit?" She pointed at the clothes, and Naraku looked at herself. "These colours are so not you!" She grabbed her arm. "Girl, you are going to get a make over!" But before Sushi left with Naraku, she grabbed her big bag.

A while later, Mayonaka and the boys woke up. "Hey, where's Naraku?" Matsuru asked. Fear grabbed his heart immediately!
"Sushi is gone as well!" Blade noticed. "Do you think...?"
But Mayonaka spotted something else. "Ah man, she took her bag!! This can only mean one thing!" She put her head on her hand, sighing deeply and embarrassed.
"What?" Blade and Matsuru asked.
"Well, this sure looks better!" All looked into the direction of Sushi's voice, who was holding Naraku's clothes. "Hey, good morning guys!"
"What have you done to Naraku!" Matsuru demanded and grabbed her arms.
"Sjeez, relax man!" She smiled and pushed his arms away from her. "Something YOU should have done sooner! Hey Naraku, come on out!"
Carefully Naraku came out of the bushes. Instead of her brown with white outfit, she now wore a cute yellow top with a bright blue ribbon as decoration. Her pants were yellow with another blue ribbon as some sort of belt, but her boots were still the same. On her upper arm, there was a bright blue ribbon as bracelet. It looked really great on her.
Both Blade and Matsuru gasped, while Naraku put a lock of hair behind her ears. "I have new clothes." She sheepishly said.
"And might I add that it looks great on you!" Sushi proudly smiled.
Mayonaka sighed. "Maybe I should have told you this." She said. "Sushi is a tanner, and a great one too. The only problem is that she can't stand seeing people who wear wrong clothes... according to her." Mayonaka joined them, and then thought: 'And so far she has never been wrong before!'

nou hopelijk is het wat. de meeste credit gaat naar mijn zusje en ik heb ze gescand xp

zoals ik in mijn vorige post al zei, jullie hebben allemaal toestemming om ermee aan de slag te gaan, mits jullie hier het resultaat komen laten zien.

nee nee helemaal niet... ben benieuwd of ze blijven of een andere kant op gaan. en als ze blijven voor hoe lang en wat voor gevolg heeft dat voor de relatie van die drie nu de andere twee er bij zijn? vragen vragen en vragen en nog meer antwoorden >.<

maar kan er niet nu al nog een hoofdstuk komen? *hele grote en lieve puppy-eyes*
