Hearing what the man had said, Elva briskly turned her head to see him behind her. Her eyes widen as her body froze for a second, stunned, wondering if he were truely to strike her. As Shiero's voice was heard loudly among the others, Violent grinned, chuckling to herself as she listened to what her sister had to say carefully. As Elva saw the man disappear and appear besides Raine, Elva shook her head, a frown appearing on her pale face. Why did this man want to protect Raine in the first place? She deserved to die for what she had done to Elva's goal, her only one way of reviving her 'damned demon father' as Shiero had said.

As she stood and watched the two, a small feeling of feet tickled her arms and shoulders. Looking up, Violent saw Midnight there, standing on her shoulders, gazing down upon her with his beady bright yellow eyes. A smile crept to Violent's face as she glanced back at the hooded man and her sister, wondering when that damn man would just leave...

The man shifted his position slightly and something under his foot crunched as he stepped on a piece of the shattered pendant. He held out his right hand and the pieces flew to his hand and re-assembled themselves in the correct sequence. He looked at the cracked stone then looked up at Elva. "I can assume one of two things from this. One is that you shattered it when you attacked Raine, and the other is that Raine shattered it herself. Which should I assume since I haven't been watching very long?"

Elva stared at the man as though he were insane. Her, shatter the pendent?! No way! That was her only way on reviving her father, by combining all the pendents together, so what would give him the nerve to accuse her like that. Elva bit her lip harshly, sending a small trick of blood down the side of her lip. "Now why the hell would you think I shattered the damn pendent!" She bellowed in her voice as her gaze hardened on the man, not even shifting her gaze towards Raine, clenching her weapon tightly in her grasp as she waiting for an answer.

"Because it's Raine's pendant, and I saw you attacking her." he said as if he were explaining it to a simple minded person. "But if Raine shattered it, she must have had some kind of reason."

Elva grinned when she heard his answer, letting a weak chuckle fall past her lips, letting only a whisp of breath escape her body. "You're right about one thing... Although, it isn't your business to know why Raine had destroyed the pendent. But let's just say it was because of a 'family' problem..." Elva stopped talking, lowering her head as the rain continued to pour down upon her, her blood from her lip, washing away...

"Well then, I guess I shouldn't repair it." he said as his grip tightened on the pieces.

Elva bit her lip once again when she heard what he had stated. Holding back on jumping towards the broken fragments of the pendent, Elva just clenched her whip even tighter against her bare hand. Keeping her gaze on the hooded man and his increasing pressure on the pendent, Elva smirk a bit to cover up her worry, trying to calm herself down by thinking to herself. Don't worry Elva... you'll find another way. There's always another way! Closing her eyes tight shut, not even realizing she was doing it, Elva clenched even harder, trying to keep her anger under control, although soon it would burst...

Raine shifted her eyes to Durithill. Her wings, now, completely black. "I shattered it.." She mumbled before he gave his mini explination to why or how it shattered. "...My father.." She whispered lowly. "I'll explain later.." She muttered, lowering her staff. Though she seemed much calmer, Raine was furious. She could control her anger better then other family member's she knew...

The man muttered something that neither of them could hear, then he looked up at Elva. "Well then, I suppose Raine doesn't want you to get your hands on this, so good luck finding the pieces." And with that he threw the pieces into the air. A sudden gust of wind hit and the pieces flew in every direction.

Raine stopped. She turned her head towards Durithill and blinked. Yes, she loved him and vise-versa, but... Why was he interfearing? Usually he would just let her fight out her own battles... Something was different. "...Duirthill?"

"Yes?" he said, not turning to her in case Elva decided to attack again.

Elva just stood there but soon, seeing the broken pieces fly into the air, her anger broke lose. Someone was about to pay. Readying her weapon, Elva jumped a step in front of her, a smirk planted on her face, her hands shaking violently, Midnight swooping down upon her shoulder. "You're gonna pay for what you just did! I've worked so hard to get this far and no one is going to take it away from me! Not even you!" She swore harshly under her breath as she quickly rushed towards the man, forgetting that Raine was still there.

The rain fell fast down to the ground as the lightning cracked and the thunder rolled. Elva's anger had finally burst and she was about to go all out on anyone that got in the way...

Raine simply shook her head. "Nothing... I was imagining somthing... That's all.. My mistake.." She muttered before turning to her sister.

Raine obviously didn't want to kill, or even injure Elva in the first place. And now, considering that the Earth pendant was shattered, She would need to find all the shards before doing anything else. He job was done here, for now. "I'm leaving... There is no need for me to linger here any longer.."

The man just nodded and held out a hand. Several barbed shards of steel shot from it and caught Elva's clothes, pulling her back and slamming her into a tree. The barbed ends stuck into the hard wood of the tree and grew inwards as the other ends seemed to sew her clothing into the tree. "Where to?" he asked Raine, finally turning towards her when he was sure Elva was pinned against the tree.

Durithill screamed, or at least would have if he'd been able to. It felt like his mind was being torn in half and sewn back together with an additional piece. "That's all I need you for." said his voice in his head again. Durithill sighed as he felt the paralysis wear off, but he was too weak to do anything else. He fell from the tree and hit the ground with a thud. He turned his head towards the clearing, but he was too far away to see or hear anything. Then he blacked out, his shield remaining as his body releaxed in the leaves.
