My brothers friend found alittle wild bunny after it rained and he gave it to me...The poor thing jumped out of my hands one day and my cats got him the day after...He died in my hands...*cries*...here are two pics of him... PS: Those Hermit Crabs are sad and disgraced. I think coloring the poor things shells IS SICK! I don't care if it doesn't hurt them...I still say let them keep their dignity!

Animals don't have a choice in the matter, since they cannot express their opinions to us. Animals can't talk. That's why we decorate crab shells and paint cats to our liking. :3

Meet Nickey. He likes to bite, but now that he's, like, nine or so.. he's calmed down quite a bit. If I tried to paint him, however, he'd slice my neck in half. He likes my hampster. Too much. That hampster has had the bejeesus scared outta him soo many times. I should take a picture! *wonders away*

Well, that's your opinion, but here's mine. Dignity? Personally, I think the paint makes the crab look more dignified. And it's not like you're actually painting the animal; I imagine the shell would be decorated beforehand and then left for the little guy to move into. It would be different if the crabs were wild; the bright colours would make it easier to be spotted by predators. But this one is a pet. I don't think Chil has any seagulls in her bedroom... (I suppose I could be wrong) And, I don't think we should talk about what's bad for an animal or not, since you kept a baby bunny out of its natural habitat..

I've had to save baby bunnies after my dog tried eating them. o___o; They didn't survive. XP

We tried to save it but it died over night.. also ya... I really dont think they care what color their shells are... As long as they get fed, get water and dont get killed theyre happy. THey are less likely to die while living in our home with colored shells Than on a beach with uncolored shells so theyre really not worried.
