this has gotten worse since the last time i post somewhere's in here. like for instance the band bus is now girls on the driver's side boys on the passenger side and when the girls overflow at least a bag seat between the boys and girls. it may get worse next yr! i dun have to deal with it. i'm graduating.. this year we got new uniforms and i was told i looked drop dead sexy in it and some weird guy in another band tried to get me alone with him. it freaked me out. but the whole deal is very very true. bandies are more sexy than football/basketball/wrestling/etc. players. besides bandies experience more with each other dure to long days, rides, and every hting else together. especially them close close spaces while changing on the band bus....

I think it's not because we're cooler/prettier/sexier/hornier/more talented or anything like that. My reasoning: marching band is CO-ED! Stick boys and girls in the same room and BOOM everyone's attracted to the other. then add in the fact that we all get naked together. celebrate together. get dissapointed together. see eachother constantly.
think about it. Football, soccer, Lax. you spend all your time with sweaty guys and even if you have a girlfriend/boyfriend you have no time to see them.

Hmm, I hope that being in band is an aphrodisiac, but most of the guys in my school's band are... uh... less than 5 on the stud-o-meter. All I know is that we are certainly the coolest people. blaugh

It's mostly because you're togehter all of the time. And a relationship with someone outsid the band means much, much less time together. But, there are rules to band dating. Or at least, there should be.
1. Never date someone who's in your section. Ever.
2. Don't date the drum major or assistant drum major prospects for the next year if you plan on auditioning. It's a bad combination.
3. Not all trumpet players are egotistical maniacs, really.
4. Don't date tuba players unless you want a very physical relationship. (I know it's true in my school at least)
5. The mellophone/French horn players are always the weirdest people to date in the band. Always.
And there we are, the five rules of inter-band dating. If you have anymore to add, please feel free. <3

DazzlingCherry12 Neko Kafweenu If stuff like that goes on in my band, I don't know about it. I just see people in normal, innocent BF/GF relationships, and that's all I wanna see...... That's definitely all I want to see. But some of my friends that are in band (okay, most of my friends are in band) are perverted. Does that count? They have such sick minds; they can take anything someone says and twist it into a disgusting notion. They've made me pretty good at it too. blaugh I agree with band people being in good relationships though. My friend was convinced I wouldn't get any boyfriends cause I'm in band but I proved her wrong two years back when I got one before she did! IN HER FACE! Although, he was a trumpet player... redface I heard they are good kissers! Not like I know from experience or anything....We're not going out anymore. biggrin But, yes, relationships in our school band are low key. I hope it stays that way... biggrin i have a feeling that that all true band nerds develope a sick mind sooner or later i know i did

In my hometown(I'd say city...but it's not a major huge city), we have a big rivalry between our two sides of the city(East and West)[The city is separated by a river]. Our band:
#1 - Rocks SO MUCH more than the West side(I'm from East) #2 - Has a family like relationship with each other(Though there are 5 or 6 out of the 50 or so of us that really don't deserve to be in Band) #3 - LOVES PEP BAND ASSEMBLIES #4 - LOVES SNAKE DANCES!!! #5 - Is really just one big happy family.
...*looks up*
...Oh, this is supposed to be about getting laid. Well, I'm just a Freshman, and I'm the 2nd best flute player in our school(And the only male...the rest are chicks!!! mrgreen ) But anyways, I know a few of our band members who are together in relationships(None of us has had it yet, but in due time somebody will.). We aren't hornier or anything like that - Band members simply spend more time together, you know? And the fact that Band is Co-ed "helps"(Hehehe...). In fact, my favorite ex-girlfriend was in Band(the only one so far), and she was the BEST one yet! She loved music like I did...then there came this whole thing where she didn't actually like me n stuff...
...but yeah.
Oh, on a last note:
BAND RULEZ.
