kibo_botch Kibo: *grinning* Yep. Laughter is good for the soul. So, you've been asking me questions, now it's my turn. How do you feel about me, as a person? Forget that I'm your captain for a moment.
"That your honest and kind. That your quiet, and enjoy a good joke, usealy at someone elses experience. And of course that your rather handsome and cunning, for a Human. What else do you want to know?" *Again I flashed my mischoviuse smile.*

What is the matter? I can't take this life anymore. I don't want to live with the pain. I'd rather die. Life is the most precious thing on earth. More precious than pearls or jewels or gold. It is the best thing that can ever be given to you. That is why we humans try to make the best of our lives. Most of us, at least. But, like all other things that are good, life is limited. It is bad to have too much of a good thing. Those who make themselves immortal regret it afterwards. I don't want to have an immortal life. I don't want to have a life at all. I want to die more than I want to be with Kibo. Ah, but when you look down on earth from heaven you will feel sorry that you lived a short, unfulfilled life. You should get some rest. Perhaps sleep will help. Yes, maybe...sleep. She she lay her head down on the floor and closed her eyes.

Kibo smiles.
Kibo: Just one more question. What did those kisses mean? I've been confused about them since the first. What did you mean by them?

"Must they mean anything? Perhaps I was wondering if you were a good kisser. Or maybe you...intrigue me. Or even it's just part of an elaberet plot to suduce you to be my pawn in life's chess game?"

Kibo: Okay, good. I just wanted to clear these things up. It's frowned upon to have a captain and his first mate to have a relationship other than captain to crew. You understand, right?

Gwendolyn lay asleep on the porch dreaming.... Wherever she was, it was very dark. Darker than dark. The darkest of all dark. If you were in this kind of dark you wouldn't be able to see past an inch. Then she saw Kibo far off. She ran towards him but then a figure whom she could not recognize got in her way and she stopped. She watched in horror as the figure leaned in to kiss Kibo. Then that faded away and she heard pottery shatter and saw herself knocking a bowl out of Kibo's hands. Soon that faded and she was left alone. Suddenly she heard Tia Dalma's voice echoing 'You do not have enough time in your life for love.' over and over again. Gwendolyn covered her ears. 'No, no. NO!' And again pain hit her. But not physical pain this time. It was mental pain; emotional pain. Finally, Gwendolyn understood.

*Tilted my chin up at him slightly then said cooly* "Of course, Captain. Never even accured to me that it could be anything more then that."

Gwendolyn woke, breathing fast and hard. She now understood what Tia Dalma had meant by enduring pain both physically and mentally. She now understood that compared to the dream she just had, the worst physical pain was nothing. Still lying on her side, Gwendolyn brought her knees up to her chest and hugged them. She wondered if things could get any worse. 'Solitude' she whispered as she thought about the figure in her dream that had kissed Kibo.

Malachus lay under the ship, curled comfortably in a spiral. It was all he could do to wait for his quarry in a more comfortable fashion. He had only ever fought one of the beasts once, and it was anything but pleasant. He had fought the Kraken briefly. It was faster, bigger, and stronger than him, but it was a brute, and Malachus was able to keep it away from the ship, just barely, with careful use of his telekenetic prowess. Nonetheless, he had recieved a few scars from it, and while they healed fine, it was the smell that Malachus would never forget...

Kibo grins, and gives the flask of gutbuster back to Storm, the usual sober look returning to his eyes.
Kibo: I'm glad you understand.
As the alcohol began to wear off, the sense of someone hurting seemed to grow stronger. However, whether it was actually growing, or if Kibo was just noticing it more, was unknown by the captain. He looks away from Storm, into what appeared to be blank space.
Kibo: Excuse me for a moment.
Kibo stood up, and stepped away from the table, walking into the corner of the bar, and sitting cross-legged, his eyes losed and his hands comfortably on his lap. He remains that way for several minutes before jerking his eyes open, and standing up. He walked out of the bar, motioning for Storm to follow him, and heaed back to his ship. As he walked, he called back to Storm.
Kibo: We have a visitor.

After a few days things were going wonderfully smooth again. But she had by now realized a pattern. For some days she could go on freely and use her powers as much as liked. But then pain would come and it would stay for maybe a week or two. One day as she watched Tia Dalma study her runes again she thought about the dream she had had. Tia Dalma, you're right. I don't have enough time in my life for love. And besides, if I ever do come back it would be strange for captain and crew member to have a relationship. Tia Dalma did not answer. Gwendolyn was sure that Tia Dalma agreed. Yet, deep down, Gwendolyn knew that it would be much harder to let go.

*Follows, glanceing around watching the shadows.* "Oh? Who?"

Kibo ran onto the beach, and without hesitation, dove into the water, unsheathing his blades. He swims deeper, barely making out the bottom of the hull of his ship. As he scanned the waters, he noticed a dark form lurking directly below his ship. He crossed his blades, and touched them to the bottom of his feet, allowing him to swim quickly through the murky depths. As his breath became short, the touched a blade to his forehead, creating a bubble of air around his head. As the bubble appeared, Kibo made out the shape below his beloved ship. As he held his blades at the ready, he bared his teeth, unsure of whether this creature was here to help or harm the ship.
Kibo: Who are you?!

*Followed in, a bit more slowly. A ring on my right hand flashed and glowed softly, alowing me to breath the water as eaily as air.*
