Blackened Heart Sucubi so i have a SOB army and am buying a Baneblade for um... which varient should i get? What kinds of games do you usually play? What do you have for your SoB force? What kinds of enemies are there in your area? How do you approach a battlefield?

well i am expanding them ATM but i have sisters squads, cannoness, seraphims, exorcists, and others. I basically do a gun-line and seraphims in the rear as a counter charge unit to keep the battle line clear. we play out of the rulebook, just preset scenarios. We have some daemons, tau, orks, marines, guard, and Dark eldar. I just do a battlefield.

Either take Vanilla as it is the best one in the Apocalypse book or go with the Stormlord as it is the best bunker in the game.

Good call, seeing as the Shadowsword is a plain old super-heavy killer, waaaay to specialized to see much use in a nun army.

I've stuck two laud hailers to my Commissariat Baneblade along with some other minor items of interest from the SoB range. Makes for a Schola Progenium themed vehicle.
It might be better to just make the Baneblade inducted, seeing as the Ecclesiarchy isn't allowed to have men under arms and the Ordo Hereticus is always eager to bully and press gang useful elements into their ranks.

Can't you just keep the turret separate? And change it depending on the enemy army?

Jason Kharo Can't you just keep the turret separate? And change it depending on the enemy army? The Baneblade and Shadowsword variants are a different chassis and turret structure, so having a 'One super-heavy does everything' would be pretty hard.

It could be done, but would net you a whole lot of trouble. Besides, the Shadowsword kit is designed in such a way that you can either crank two or four variants, not all on them with the same stuff.
Money is still on a regular Baneblade with the command upgrade if you field Guard, a Hellhammer is a sweet little thing but only worth it with extra flamer sponsons, sure she's expensive but also a damn fine sight to field in a game.

You know, loading a Stormlord with sisters isn't such a bad idea. Toss in plenty of meltas and flamers and you got an oversized Dominion squad.
