Bad boy. No proxies. Seriously, how hard is it to glue a bunch of ammo boxes and fuel drums onto some bases?

Has anyone ever had experience with armoured companies? My friend just showed me the WD that the list is in and I was impressed. Thinking I might follow my Sisters up with a siege company.

aircommander20 i was wondering what would you guys/girls use as objective counters/model/terrain I'm paintig up grease monkey from the last chancers and say he's a downed pilot I used some of the Terminator bases (Not sure on the mm measurements here) and turned them into small supply piles, one with fuel, another with a missile launcher, one with Tamiya ammo crates. Then there's that wounded Cadian. punkfairy Has anyone ever had experience with armoured companies? My friend just showed me the WD that the list is in and I was impressed. Thinking I might follow my Sisters up with a siege company. Then the force has to be split in two seperate organisations, as Armoured Companies are not allowed to take allies or taken as allies. But AC's do allow for good gameplay unlike what many, many wankers scream and shout. The new AC list, while simplified, is still competitive and balanced, add to that the neat rules such as 'Aces High' and you can squeeze out quite the bad-a** force.

Yeah, i got a wounded IG sarge with a knife lying on his back as an objective.

Okay, so I just got my hands on my own copy of the Armoured Company rules and I'm writing up a list. But one problem is standing in my way.
Command Tank....The Company Commander and any COmmissars assigned to the detachment....
Where is the entry for the commander and the commissars? I assume that the commander is "part of" of the tank and thus can also not be given items from the armoury, but please tell me if I'm wrong. And as for the commissars, where are they? Do I have to use the entry in the IG Codex? And if so, saying that I don't own that codex, how do I attach them to my Armoured Company?

I think I have it right now: the X pts. you pay in addition to the cost of the tank is for either a commander or a commissar. Am I right?
Can anyone help me?

You still ahve to pay for the vehicle that the Commander or Tank Ace uses. Commissar tanks have been removed from the latest version of the list. I suggest that you get the up to date list here and the vehicles that can be used here. The current Armoured Coy. list isn't as dangerous as it used to be, but can still deal plenty of damage.

Few more questions: do I take a commander first, and then the other command tank is a commissar's (if so then why are commissars plural)? Is there even a difference beyond the name? Can they be given items from the armoury?
