Seraphine-Exalted thinking of making slaanesh army, are there any rules for all daemon armies (so i can use my fantasy slaanesh). ill just add some marines with getto blasters and a dreadnought. xp Not really... You could fill up on Deamonettes for troop choices then take chosen Terminators with the icons to summon them... If you can find a CA 2004 they have rules for using mounted Deamonettes too...

I've heard that the mounted demonettes aren't that great in battle? Is this true?

Storm bolters if you can, and PLASMA PISTOLS if available. These weapons are deadly to the weaker beasties of nids and to general infantry in the imperial guards. For space marines... plasma and las weaponry, combat with power weapons, and DAEMONS... oh, I'd take out the bikes and add in a havok squad (that's the chaos devvies, right?) and maybe kick out the scorceror to make point space for wargear?

If you're playing World Eaters, think about giving one or two of your Berzerker squads bolters instead of bolt pistols. Sure you lose your extra CCW bonus, but you can provide decent covering fire for your assault troops (assuming they don't freak).
Against horde armies, multiple shot weapons rule. The is about the _only_ time I'd use the Predator's autocannon turret. In any case, under the current rules the bolter sponsons p0wn.
Chaos_Havoc, to maximize your forces, try giving the sorcerer Doombolt (or Mass Mutation if he's going in an assault unit), and your CSM squads Heavy Bolters and either Flamers (if he closes to assault) or Plasma (an overall good choice). Ditch the Rhino, and get five or six more Raptors, with three of them being kitted with assault weapons- three meltaguns or three flamers would be decent. The bikes are a tough unit to decide on, but I'd suggest bolstering their numbers as well and giving them two flamers. Just remember that bike units can be very fragile under massed fire. Keep them out of LOS until they're needed, then pounce. As for the oblit, get him a buddy or two and use them for tank hunting and big gribbly blasting. You might also consider adding a Havoc squad with four missile launchers or four lascannons (NOT the one from the box set!!!), in case you ever run into an Armored Company or something equally nasty.
BTW, Cagalli, check the Chaos Codex. They don't have any Storm Bolters, only twin-linked bolters. Good for accuracy, bad for volume fire.

Sonic Blasters count as Storm Bolters.Only in the V.3 BBB list. They're functionally the same, but they have a Heavy 3 provile as well... making them a lot nicer investment than a Storm Bolter.

If you have a squad of 20 Slaneesh Marines, for 480pts total for the whole squads entire cost, you can have 60 S4 AP5 shots at 24"

Drachyench_The_Eternal If you have a squad of 20 Slaneesh Marines, for 480pts total for the whole squads entire cost, you can have 60 S4 AP5 shots at 24" That's a bit expensive, though. Plus its asking to get target by something that can drop an AP3 pie plate. Squads of 12 are more efficient, and you get a free Aspiring Champion if you're playing the Emperor's Children.

I would think that the missile launchers would work better against the nids because you can choose the missile type, but keep in mind that my death gaurd army can't take heavies so i don't really have eperience with them. btw, any suggestions for dealing with grey knights without using heavies?

I know that u need weapons with lots of shots cuz u dont need weapons like lascannons agains termegaunts (but u do against warriors or hive tyrants) because the are weak and their armor save sucks (5+ or so) but i the challange is the hyve tyrant. my friend has a way of making its invulnerable save 2+!!! its amazing and hard to beat.

Too bad chaos have no snipers. 2+ hit, 4+ wound.. Simple numbers. He'll fail those saves eventually.

I have temporarily decided to stop playing a chaos army after having a dream where either Slaneesh or Tzeentch was slowly killing me with Razor Blades like Exacto-Knives.
