the_mouser eldar are so fragile i cant seem to beat my friends huge chaos army. i love useing eldar but i can't seem to win Eldar need to stay out of the way of the longer range weapons. Use the Run technique to keep your troops behind terrain, keep your vehicles moving more than 6 inches per turn for the Speed rule, and always engage the enemy big guns first with your vehicles.

I realized just how good Wraithlords are against any kind of space marines
1)toughness means neither bolters or SM CC attacks CANNOT wound it, even a melta-gun or a power fist wounds on a 4+
2) Starcannon itself, S6, AP2, range 36", 3 shots, heavy
3) Dreadnought CCW's wreak havoc against vehicles and troops alot, with 4 attacks (after charging)
4) 3+ inv save

Yahiko_Meoshine Since when did a Wraithlord have an ivulnerable save? It's not a monstrous creature. ?? I thought it had an invulnerable save... And its hellishly monstrous, its half again the height of a dreadnought! I thought the 4rth ed said something about monstrous creatures

I play Tau against eldar and usually they don't have many troops left when they get near enough to shoot as pulse rifles wound on a 2 ands allow no eldar aromur saves. (those figues for guardians)

And since it doesn't that means that it is not. Hence, it has a basic save. NOT invulnerable.

DarkElf27 Archmage_Snorian I just read thru the 4thed book and wraithlords count as monsterous creatures noted on page 264 Monstrous creatures get invulnerables, right? Nope. They have a normal armor save, unless something like the Avatar's daemonic aura grants it an invulnerable save. I suspect the Wraithlord will be losing its DCCWs and becoming a normal monstrous creature when the Eldar codex is updated. IMO that would go a long way toward mitigating the complaints about its cheesiness (since its Strength would go down to whatever its listed as- IIRC S6). Wraithlords having a 3+ Invulnerable save? Emperor's Golden Portacan no! That would be as cheesy as a flying carnifex! eek
