"Come now, do you think I'm mean and would get you wet?" Koichi smiled, rubbing his hair with the towel that had been draped around his neck; although it was slightly wet now. "I told you I'd protect you when I could, remember?" he said softly enough for her only to hear. Kazan was making a lot of noise anyway, so it wasn't like anyone else was paying attention; she had jumped on Kaze's back for another piggy back ride.

"Um, maybe?" Kana laughed, but froze at his next comment, her ears perking straight to catch his words. Her face flushed faintly red, but she smiled at him and nodded her head. "Yeah..." she said softly. "Thank you." She stood up from her seat now, looking up at Koichi for a second before glancing towards Kazan and Kaze and laughing at the sight. This place really was crazy. With these people, it felt like there was hardly ever a dull moment to be found, but that's the way she liked things.

Koichi smiled before zipping up the duffle bag and slinging it over his shoulder. "I'd offer one, myself, but I don't think you want to hang over a sweaty person... Kazan's used to it, or she doesn't care," he shrugged, starting towards the stairs. The others had already left, and the door to the training room was swinging open now, as Koichi glanced back at Kana. "Coming, Kitty?" he asked softly, continuing to watch her; she didn't want to stay here in a training room, right?

Kana glanced sharply back at Koichi at his comment, eyes widening slightly and face flushing a little red. "Ah, you don't have-! I mean, I don't really mind that you're-! U-um..." she trailed off, glancing at the ground for a second while she quickly regained her senses. Her tail wound around her waist in embarassment. Then she nodded and hastened after him, coming to a halt at his side so she could walk with him, rather than trialing behind him like she tended to do fairly often.

[haha. oh, i gave ranningu another shard, cuz she's been doing really good, and it scares me xD]
Koichi just smiled at her, before putting an arm around her shoulders. "Come now, what were you stammering about before?" he asked curiously. He didn't quite know why he'd placed his arm around her, but it was a good way to ensure that he didn't bump into her while they started up the winding metal stairs. He was quite calm at the moment, wondering why she seemed so flustered; although, it's not like he hadn't expected it after he said he'd give her a ride if he hadn't been sweaty.

Kana blinked, glancing at his arm and then to his face. "I-it's nothing!" she assured him, giving a broad, red faced smile. "I'm just... overreacting again!" She laughed, moving her hand to rub nervously at the back of her head, but pausing as her hand hit his arm. She quickly dropped it back to her side, uttering a soft apology, along with another laugh. She really felt like an idiot now, but was blaming it partly on her well hidden exhaustion. Though, she'd given it away when she'd yawned before. And now that she thought about it, she needed to yawn again, but she held it back as she watched the stairs as they climbed them. She didn't want to trip, which was something she was likely to end up doing.

Koichi smiled to himself, seeing her flushing face, and especially when she dropped her hand back after feeling it brush against his arm; accidentally, of course. He glanced over at her, though, suddenly turning to face her. The arm that had lain across her shoulders he now moved to placing against the wall, cornering Kana from going back down the stairs. "Come now," he started, glancing down at her, "no need to say sorry." He smiled brightly, indicating it was okay, although he didn't quite realize the position he'd put them in to be somewhat awkward[sp??]

Kana paused as he lifted his arm, and her suddenly widened eyes watched as it repositioned itself on the wall beside her, trapping her in place. Then she looked back at him. He was smiling, but her face wouldn't stop growing a darker red the longer they stood here like this. She gaped at him for a moment, and then very slowly nodded her head. "O-ok..." she stammered, then looked to the floor for a second before looking back at him. "K-Koichi...?" she began, but then trailed off, biting her lip.

Koichi, who had removed his hand and made it to run through his hair- realizing what he'd done- and starting away, stopped to look at her; he wasn't more than a step ahead of her, now. "Yeah?" he asked, blinking a few times in wonder; did she need something? "Is something wrong, Kitty?" he asked, suddenly turning fully around to face her. He reached out, putthing his hands on her shoulders, as though to steady her incase she suddenly fell or something, his head tilting slighty, waiting for the answer, wondering what it was she needed to say.
[perfect time to get sick and faint xD]

Kana stared at him, watching as he turned and then approached. She tensed very slightly as he touched her shoulders, but didn't look away from him. Her face was still a dark red and she was breathing through her mouth now, something she hadn't realized she was doing until just now. She suddenly realized her senses felt a little dull as well. She hesitated and then shook her head. "I-it's nothing..." she said faintly, closing her eyes for a second as she seemed to wobble in place, her hands clutching at the front of her own shirt.

Koichi frowned, looking at her. "Kitty, are you okay?" he asked gently, wondering if she was feeling alright. "You sure you're not sick, right?" he continued on, pulling her close to him, so incase she did end up losing her balance she wouldn't fall that far from him, if at all. He was worried for her, and didn't want anything to happen to his little sister. "Come on, we should get you upstairs," he started, still holding her close as he started upwards somewhat slowly.

Kana opened her eyes again and smiled, shaking her head. "I'm fine!" she said. "Just... tired." She blinked as she felt herself pulled into him and her face flushed yet again, but she didn't try to push away, thinking that would hurt his feelings. And she really had felt a little dizzy a second ago. She frowned very slightly and allowed him to help her up the stairs, moving at a slow pace. She bowed her head slightly, ears drooping a bit as well as she began feeling guilty about him helping her now, though she knew it probably wasn't anything to feel bad about. She just couldn't help it though.

They started through the hall in no time, the voices of their friends far ahead of them. "You sure you're fine, Kitty?" he asked, wondering how tired she could possibly be. He couldn't help but think tha perhaps she was sick, and not just tired. He didn't pres to far on he matter, though, not wanting her to get mad at him in some way; if she did end up getting mad, he knew he'd feel really bad about it.

"Just tired," Kana repeated with a nod, ears perking as she caught the other's voices. She looked forward, trying to catch sight of them. She hadn't meant to slow Koichi down so much. She glanced at him for a second and then back forward. Just what was she planning to say when she'd said his name a bit ago? She wasn't even sure, and that only brought about more confusion. Her face was still red, and she lifted one hand, rubbing at her cheek lightly as if that'd made the blush fade faster.

Koichi placed the hand around her shoulders again, still keeping her close to him. She said she was fine, that being tired was the only reason, but he couldn't help but think that it was also something else, that prhaps she just wasn't telling him, or that she just didn't realize. The light from the hallways ahead of them seemed to start to appear before them, although it'd take a little more to get there; their friends obviously had gone ahead to dinner, and were probably seated by now, wondering where they two were.
