::the rain did little for Hinata's current mood, and so did the now passed out child in kodomo's arms. She could say nothing. She wasn't going to tell him to put her back, that was surely sentencing the child to death, but she wasn't sure staying with them was going to be much better::
::she sighed and sat, waiting as kotai instructed, trying to think what to do with the girl kodomo brought back::
there must be somewhere safe, somewhere that they would have taken the children...damn, the caves...no chance of getting her there without running out of the time that Laijin gave us...
the earth had settled some of its trembling and she knew that Tentu must have awoken with some of his power returned, she hoped that this all worked out and she wasn't leading this misfit band of allies to their immediate death::

Feeling the drizzle on her shoulders, Ai glanced up to the sky. Swiftly wiping away her tears she narrowed her ruby eyes, watching the all too familiar grey clouds. Pushing herself up she held onto the teddy bear, holding it to her chest as she found it her only source of comfort and friend. Now completely soaked, she draped the black cloth over her neck covering her headprotector (which is tied to her neck) and glancing around to look for some shelter.

Aya stopped listening again, the crying seem to have stopped, all she could hear was the pattering of the rain. That could mean two things, the person finally got ahold of themselves, or they were dead. Either way, there was a person there. For such a prosperous town as Hidden Leaf it seemed almost deserted, and though Aya was used to being on her own, part of her still craved human contact. She walked toward where the crying was coming from, steeling herself for any picture that might occur. Yet she did not expect the woman standing there and holding a torn up teddy bear. Nor did she expect it to be an enemy. But being the stupid rookie that she could be, instead of running or sneaking attack Aya stepped out of the shadows, stating simply in her monotone voice, "Its raining, yet you are standing out here holding a stuffed animal. You are rather silly for a shinobi enemy."

Narrowing her red eyes, Ai continued to stare off at the distance. "..and I suppose revealing yourself isn't..?" Lowering the teddy bear to her side, as she turned to Aya's voice. Scanning her body she recognised the smaller girl as a shinobi of konoha village. "You shouldn't be out wondering..."

"I have nothing to win or to lose, so I do not care as much." Aya stated simply as if talking about the weather. Aya lifted her half-lidded eyes her bangs plastered wetly to her face, "You seem like you care for something, and even someone like me could get as close to you as I did, shows that not only one of us is careless...." her mouth curled into a small smirk under her mask, "I'm looking for my sensei, but for all I know he could be dead by now." her eyes trailed up and down the road, "You know its a rule in the code of a shinobi never to cry on a mission, so why were you crying?"

Pausing Ai clenched a fist tightly as she watched the girl. "It's none of your business.." She bit the corner of her pale lips glancing away in disbelief as she held onto the teddy bear tightly. How can someone so young be so cold....She couldn't even care less if her sensei was dead. Reminded of her mission, the hidden mist shinobi gritted her teeth. "Go home. This isn't play." She said sternly, but really urging the girl to return home. The village was still unsafe as could nins still lurked.

Aya didn't move and continued to watch her with slight intrest, "Why? There is no one there...there is no differance whether I am here or...home as you so quaintly put it." Aya linked her fingers together staring up at the sky the sword on her back clinking with her slight movement, "Plus, we are enemies aren't we? Aren't you supposed to kill me? Or is there another reason you are here....to collect broken teddy bears perhaps?" Her mouth quirked the only sign to show that she was amused.
((agh I'm so sorry but I have to get going...it was really fun though! if you need to go somewhere else I give you permission to knock my character out))

Kodomo looked around at everyone unsure of what to do with the girl he had in his arms he looked around and sighed he needed to find a way to keep the girl safe. Perhaps it would have been better if he left the girl with the Mist nin since she seemed very warm toward the girl, he decided to walk back and came upon not only her but another nin standing there as well.

Hearing her words the corner of Ai's lips twitched in agitation. "Hasn't anyone taught you to mind your own business..?" She contemplated whether it be a wise choice to leave Aya all alone by herself. She seemed inexperienced, reavealing herself and all, and even approaching the 'enemy' questioning, driving them to a point of irritation. No doubt if she kept on like this, she would survive no more than a few days.
"Tch.." Ai glanced away, wiping her cheekbone with the back of her hand. "I have no time for you.."

Aya shrugged slightly, actually no one had. She was either alone or didn't talk at all. This was probaly the most conversation she had in a while, but of course she didn't say that outloud. But when something disturbed her, such as seeing an enemy cry, she questioned it. But also she could not let the enemy stay. Her eyes glanced around again before turning to look at Ai's, "You may not have time for me, but I have time for you. I may only be a gennin but it is still my responsibility to protect this villiage. I cannot let you leave." Her stance shifted slightly raising one hand over her face and lowering the other to her waist, from someone who didn't know her fighting style it would seem odd. But it allowed her to attack and defend very quickly using either her hands or her katana depending on her enemy. And also, since it was raining and dark, it hid her traps she had cast very well.

Kotai waited patiently for the others to catch up, keeping an eye on them with several Destruction Bugs however far his position may be from them. "I need everyone here so we can all get through that battle up there at once. From what I can tell, mostly everyone's out of Chakra and are down to taijutsu from the looks of it." He jerked his thumb at the clashing ninjas ahead. Leaf, Cloud, Stone, and Death in a melee free-for-all.

I beleive he means those in the battle ::she watched the nin who were all struggling in the middle of the battle feild and sighed, preparing herself to follow Kotai into the battle::
its all you Kotai ::she kept her voice around a whisper:: you've had more experience with them than we have...

*Some random cloud nin who looked to be at of Jounin level ran towards Kotai's group. He was holding a nodachi in one of his hands, with every intention of killing the two leaf village members in his sight..Kotai and Hinata. His chakra was half drained and he was covered in blood* Die evil vermin!
