Hi! I play bassoon as well!! whee I started in 10th grade and have played it for concert set since. I play clarinet for marching band and oboe in the 9th grade for consert set. My band doesn't allow bassoon and oboe in the marching band. Also in 10th grade my director signed me up for Wind Ensemble without my knowing as well as for the pit in the musical West Side Story. I had a lot of fun though.

my band did pathways by eric whitacre this year it was pretty fun but this one of the other schools did this awesome show with an africa theme.

My bassoon's name is Rafiki. My band director calls it my babboon.
But before that, I simply called it "My bong". Look at it and tell me a bassoon does not look like a giant bong.

I named my first oboe The Fallen Sweetheart (after my website) because I dropped it all the time! heart

I dropped my oboe this morning.... I feel horrible.... I broke it.... I have a performance on tuesday... and it won't play concert F on the top of the staff or up.... That's were my music is.... It's going in for immediate repair!!!!!
