Fuzzy Necromancer Then again, maybe ring or magic armor would be a good idea due to the low AC. :/ Or maybe a potion of Sheild of faith would be better. :S Well, I'm to confused to advise you now. what does the potion do?

gives you benefits of the sheild of faith spell, with its level and bonus it's a +4 deflection bonus, but i'm not sure about the price.

It's a temporary bonus. The magic armor has the armor bonus increased by +1, and the ring of protection gives you a +1 deflection bonus.

Deflection bonus applies to everything, including touch attacks, incorporeal attacks, and ranged touch attacks. Armor bonus only applies to attacks from weapons and natural attacks (claws, swords, rocks, etc.).

the shield is 1000, I don't recall the addition needed to make it masterwork

That's a decision you'll have to make for yourself.
I can tell you that if you get a deflection ring, you might want to have your armor masterwork, so that it can be made magical later. Enchanted Skimpy armor is not easy to come by.

Fuzzy Necromancer That's a decision you'll have to make for yourself. I can tell you that if you get a deflection ring, you might want to have your armor masterwork, so that it can be made magical later. Enchanted Skimpy armor is not easy to come by. how much doesn it cost to make it masterwork?
