"DISPERSE!" The Shadow Beasts vanished, as Agamemnon's expression changed, and he summoned a gust of wind "Cerenz, please listen. If you speak the truth, then that means....." His face lit up with an idea, and he averted his eyes with irritation "that means that you were tricked into taking Takara for yourself so that these people, her husband and two children, would have to come to this realm to rescue her. Paired up with the fact I was given the assignment to Ambush them, I think there may be something going on that needed the Twins to be distracted." He turned to Hikaru "Will you come with me to the surface? If my associate has arrived, I shall take you to headquarters, and we shall get to the bottom of this. I believe something vile is afoot, the Nation has been changing rapidly, and I do not like the secrecy that has been prominent lately."

Tachi felt the ripples. Like a smooth pond surface, He could feel the effects of a stirring far below. He poured as much energy as he dared, nearly all he had, into their bond. Sending her strength, much like that day by the lake so long ago.
Haru took a step forward. "Answer carefully demon. In what way did you touch my mother?" The slight edge of panic was creeping into his voice. He payed no attention to the bats or the murdering beast, so intently was he Gazing at the creature.

Hikaru took a step forward to stand beside her brother, placing a comforting hand upon his shoulder as though to steady him. She too was concerned as to what the demon had done to their mother, but getting too worked up wouldn't help their situation. If Agamemnon was right and that the Black Star Nation was behind all this, then their real opponents were them, not this demon, at least, as long as he agreed to release Takara.
Glancing towards Agamemnon, she wasn't so sure she was ready to leave, unwilling to go, leaving her mother still in the demon's grasp.
"But...Mother..."

That was all Takara managed to get out before she appeared in Cerenz's arms once more, glowing with his energy as he strengthened his own spells, clamping down on her inner resistance, nipping it in the bud before she had a full chance to take control of what energy her love had given her.
He continued to speak, a hand idly playing with Takara's silky long hair, acting as though nothing out of the ordinary had happened. He arched an eyebrow at Haru's question, a smirk playing about his lips. He couldn't help it; it was far too amusing to see others' reactions.
"Aren't you a bit young to be asking about such things? Maybe you'll know when you're older...Shouldn't we be getting to the bottom of this first?..."

Agamemnon nodded "Cerenz, it would seem you are merely an opportunist, one that has been had. Apparently my higher ups must have thought to take advantage of this, in order to keep the Twins occupied. I propose that you and Tsubo make a temporary peace, allow Takara freedom from your grasp, allow her to take her husband into her arms, her children into her bosom. And Tsubo, will agree not to leave this chamber, until we have gotten to the bottom of this. Tachi, Haruko, I beg of you, allow me to take Hikaru to HQ. I will pretend she is my hostage, as an excuse to bring her in. Upon my mother's honor I swear to you, I will return her to you without harm." He got on his knees before the two of them, lowering his head. True, he felt like an idiot, but, his mother was the most important thing to him, and if something fishy was going on, he needed to make sure she would be safe from it.

Professor Ganymede entered the chamber, having used the coordinates given to him by Agamemnon to find it. "It is too late, Cambyses and my LEX have been taken to Makai by Dr. Io. I could not gather information as for what they are there for, but, I daresay it should not be too hard to find out. Unfortunately, the good Doctor seems to be using an anti-tracking field to prevent their being found, even the powers of you two children combined are not enough to breach it."

Haru snapped his head to the side and glared with such ferocity that it would have knocked even the greatest warriors off their balance. The artifact on his neck began to pulse. "NO!" There was a great blast that shook the stones ans he shouted. "How dare you think I would trust you with her! Do you think I am a wise and understanding being? That I hold no grudge? The only reason you are alive is because you promised to help me retrieve my mother!" His voice was gtting louder and louder. Several of the tapestries were shaken loose.
Tachi appeared before the demon in the midst of the shouting. He had a hand on Takara's back. His face was grim, his voice was calm. "If you do not release her, things will go poorly for you. Even if You defeat us here, do you really think you can withstand the full might of Citidel?"

"Haru...calm down, please. If we can get some information from these two, we might learn something useful as well as rescue Cam. We don't have to let our guard down, just listen to them."
The more reserved of the twins, Hikaru turned to look at Agamemnon, "Though we don't fully trust you, if there's any ways you can help us locate Cam, I'll go along with it. Any ideas?"
For the time being, Takara's life wasn't at stake, despite the questionable things she had gone through. However, they couldn't change what had already happened and with Cerenz, they seemed to be at a stalemate.

Cerenz instinctively stepped back from Tachi, remembering the man was a Terren and therefore able to appear anywhere there is shadow. Surveying him for a moment, he sighed.
"You love her, don't you."
It wasn't a question, merely a statement of what he saw in his eyes. Nothing would be gained from a fight with this family for someone they clearly held so dear. Gently squeezing the slender form in his arms, he quickly bestowed a kiss on her forehead before any other objections could be made.
"Sorry, my dear. It was fun while it lasted. Your family wants you back."
Lightly he tossed Takara into the air towards Tachi. Silver chains that hadn't been visible before appeared on her wrists and ankles before shattering as Cerenz released her from him, both physically and spiritually. Before Tachi could even catch his mate, Cerenz was gone, his last words but a whisper in the air. He was a demon who lived on the edges of the worlds, existing just out of reach of other living beings. He'd create another dimension for himself somewhere...and find some other company.
"Good luck with your games, children. May we never meet again."

Tachi Lightly caught his life-mate and held her close. "Takara, my love," he whispered, "Come back to the light."
Haru stammered for a moment. I will not lose you too. Cam can rot in hell if it means you will be safe. He took a step forward. "I will go instead." He held his chin up stubbornly.

Ganymede fell to the ground from the force of the child's words, flinching "Mercy, please, child, I have no intention of angering you" He looked around at everyone as he got up "Forgive me, I cannot handle anger very well. But, seeing his anger, I must ask that it be Hikaru, not Haruko, that would assist our investigation. It may anger you, young Haruko, but that look in your eyes, you would allow your emotions to get the better of you. If anything were to happen to my LEX......" He gazed directly at Haruko, his aged eyes revealing his fear "I would not be able to live any longer. And Cambyses, the poor boy, to have gone through so much, I would not risk you doing something to him, in order to keep Hikaru safe. She is your twin, not your self, and it is not right for you to make decisions for her." He looked at Agamemnon "You do realize, after this we shall no doubt be branded for treason, I myself will defect to Earth Realm if we can successfully relieve LEX and Cambyses from their grasp. What will you do?"

Agamemnon chuckled slightly as Cerenz vanished "Call it irony, but I have an odd feeling we will be seeing him again sometime soon" He turned his gaze to Ganymede "I don't plan on revealing myself, old man, but you do what you will, I won't stop you. I need to remain a part of the Elite, otherwise this investigation would be pointless. The Nation was once a truly magnificent organization, just think of how much good has been brought forth by our cause. And now, this secrecy amongst the Elite may take that reputation away from us. I, for one, will not allow it to go on, the Nation has done too much for our people, for me....." He gazed to Takara then to Haruko "I too, know the joy of having a mother. And I wish, more than anything, to protect her, even if it means sacrificing my honor, and even my life, even if it means facing the horror that is Haruko's anger. We all wish to protect something, and if you only knew the good of the Black Star Nation, perhaps you might not think so lowly of us. There may yet be horrific evils within the Nation that have not surfaced, but, not everyone in the Nation is evil." He walked over to Hikaru "Please, it is imperative that you, not your brother, come along, as there is something else I must discuss with you, of great importance, and I feel that you are mature enough to deal with it properly"

Ganymede backed away, looking at Haruko with fear still in his eyes "Yes, the boy's anger would surely cause an issue if he knew the truth behind who it was who abducted Cambyses. In any case, if we are to be successful, we should get going now, I daresay our absence will not go unnoticed for very long. And what will you do about your status report regarding the ambush here?"

Hikaru shook her head at her brother's stubbornness. He was like their father in far too many ways.
I will be fine, brother. You're too hot-headed to handle such a delicate situation, as seen by what you just did here. You won't lose me. I have every intention of staying alive to be with you, Mother, and Father again. Take care of our parents for me.
Turning towards Agamemnon, she quirked an eyebrow, "So what precisely will we be doing and why? We should hash out as many details here as possible so Haru's hair doesn't turn white with worry."

Takara's eyes fluttered open and she found herself staring into the eyes of the one she'd so longed to see.
"Tachi..."
Wrapping her arms about him, she gave him the tightest hug she could muster, though her weakened state showed in the considerable lack in her usual strength. Her voice was soft as she spoke, burying her face in his chest.
"I'm sorry...I couldn't escape on my own..."

Agamemnon turned to Hikaru "I thank you, young lady, your cooperation and maturity is extremely helpful. We will be going from here, to Headquarters, using the device I have. It has been made to withstand the forces of this realm, but the virus within me has not, hence why I can speak with you without worry of interception. If I run into my superiors, I will tell them you are my hostage and that I am taking you to confinement. If they do not believe me, then we will have to think of something else." He turned to Ganymede "Once we have finished there, we will meet up in Makai, you said the boys are there, correct? I have the feeling they are going to use him for something terrible. Either way, find out what you can, if you wish take Haruko with you, , we will meet up outside of Catalyxe Dina's Chateau, and figure a plan from there" He placed his hands on Hikaru's shoulder "Are you ready? The teleportation process is instant, it will take us to the hidden transfer facility blow the Capitol building in Tokyo. It has been sealed to prevent entry or exit except by these devices produced by the Laboratory, and it has a field around it to prevent it's existence from being discovered even by Terrens or Elementals." He reached down and pressed a button, teleporting them to the facility.

Professor Ganymede nodded, and he walked over to Haruko reluctantly, still afraid of the boy "I, I guess we should be off to Makai then, I have an idea of where we may be able to gather some information on what the good Doctor is planning. Would you be able to open a portal to Makai? I'd rather not go through the transfer facility, it would be too suspicious to see you and I right after Agamemnon and your sister, and if he plans on keeping his treason hidden, I will not jepordize that, as it may prove useful to you people in the future. "

Haru sighed in frustration. He might as well give up. There was no use fighting anything anymore. "I cannot create portals. I can do this though." His hand shot to Ganymede's throat and he narrowed his blank eyes. "If I stop sensing my sister's aura, I will feel betrayed and end you." With that, he teleported them both to Makai. *** Tachi held her close and let a few tears escape. "No, it is I who have failed you. I did not look hard enough, or fast enough. I am so sorry. I have not been the Life-mate I should have been. I was so angry with myself and your relationship with Konno, I could no longer feel your love. I turned into my father. I even turned away from our children when they needed me the most. I will understand if you wish to end our bond." He hung his hean and turned away from her, so ashamed was he.
