Silver laughed at Ryudo's remark, not even hearing Damrius as he headed up the stairs. He wasn't entirely serious about everything he said to Ryudo; he just liked to push his buttons. Well... mostly, anyways. Entering his private room, he closed his door to take care of a few things.

First off, his casual clothes were a mess. Not only were they dirty, they were battle torn too. Opening his backpack he had left in the room, which he only takes on what he knows will be long trips, he began to search through the clothes he had.

The formal kimono wasn't really travel ready. Even though both the new Kimono and the one he was wearing were both similar, this new formal was much fancier and expensive. Not fit until he was brought before the council. The next was his Ryugin uniform (minus the breastplate, as he was wearing it), which coincidently he didn't even know why he brought along. The last, an indigo outfit, was something he had randomly grabbed. Thinking, he couldn't even remember the last time he's worn it. It was probably a good twelve years ago.

He'd have to remember to update his wardrobe when he got back.

Donning this new (or old) attire, he gave an approving nod in the mirror. The indigo was a pleasant change from his much overused crimson. Silver awoke the reluctant Angelous and headed downstairs to the others, ready to head out to the City of Elders.

Damrius
I'm Damrius. Ryugi's student.
He extended a hand.
Mateus turned away from where Vargus was leading them for a moment and turned to look at Dame. The six and a half foot tall man didn't exactly like humans that much, but he wasn't a jerk about it. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you should toss aside common courtesy. He was put off a bit by Dame's over eagerness to claim he was Ryugi's student, but the fact that Ryugi had chosen this human as his pupil made Mateus realize that the boy must have SOME sort of potential, and so, he extended his hand towards the young man and grasped his, shaking it in a single firm shake before releasing it.

Mateus the Earthen Heart. You must have much potential to be chosen by Ryugi as a student.

His face was unmoving, and unchanging as he spoke. He then turned and headed back towards the room, his cape flowing slightly as he moved.

Damrius rolled his eyes. He doubted he had much potential, at least not until he reached full ties to the Plain of Lightning. speaking of which...

I'm heading out. I have some... Things to do.

THings to acheive... I've gotta become stronger. Show them that I'm able to hold my own. I'm tired of it. What would Ryugi say if he knew I STILL hadn't acheived that level... urgh... gotta get it..

Damrius headed for the door, and as soon as he opened it, he dropped his sword off right next to it. He very rarely went anywhere without his sword. Must have been something important for him to do it...

But that left him with his battle guantlets. Good ol' weapons. He moved out of the Inn, and started towards the exit of town.

Damrius had reached the outer end of the city. Not as long of a walk towards the end of a day. Probably cause the crowds were gone. Wonder why... Most cities held big crowds to ungodly hours of the night. But whatever.

He had been sitting on a rock, pulling in energy as much as he could. He had made it to about 16, put 6 charges back into his inner reserve, and started from ten again.

I've gotta get to teh plain.. but how...

Damrius shook his head. clear his thoughts. It was his only choice. He closed his eyes, and then saw flashes of lightning. Happened since his first time trying to pull the same stunt. But something was different.

He saw more than usual. It was always what he dreamt of... he wasn't asleep was he? No. He could feel everything, open his eyes even, if he wanted to end it. But that wasn't going to happen.

that is when he noticed he was charging faster. Something new... 2 charges at once instead of one. Had he acheived it? What was going on.. he could hear the rolling thunder now. But then it stopped. He must have imagined it...

Then somehthing scarred him. His back was bleeding now, He oculd feel the burning sensation, hotter than anything RYugi had even thought of using on him. It burnt. Bad. But it was like a whip to his skin. Then another. And another.

Madison blinked three times and then quickly followed after Dame only to not want another event like the last one to happen. As she walked a few steps out the door she stopped and turned to look at the door, but after a few secounds she coutinued to quietly follow Dame without saying anything.

Silver made it downstairs, Angelous in tow. Looking around, he quickly noted that two of the people weren't there. Frowning slightly, he spoke.

"Hey... what happened to Dame and Madison?"

And then it would stop, and Dame would feel a pressence near him. If he were to open his eyes and turn he would be face to face with a lightning beast. Something like a tiger, its body lacked solid form, and looked to be completely made of electrical energy. Its red eyes would look deeply into Dame's for a moment before it backed off and roared a strange etherial roar.

Seconds later, a rune would appear, and a small ball of lightning energy would begin to form over the middle of the rune, and pulse with energy. Clouds would circle overhead, and lightning would streak across them, accompanied by booming thunder. And then, with a bright flash of electical light, a being would appear, a human-like being.

His hair looked almost like solid electrical energy, if thet were even possible. Hie eyes were red, and glowed a bit. He wore a totally MASSIVE bright white cape of electrical energy that sat around his shoulders and covered his chin as well as it billowed out behind him. His armor was silver, and shone so brightly it was like a mirror, reflecting the light around him. His pants were white as well, and fit snuggly down into his silvery, mirror-smooth, armored boots.

In his hand was a sword unlike anything Dame would have ever seen. It was made up of a thin yellow energy band that formed the cutting edge, and in the middle where the metal should be, there were white runes and markings. In his other hand was a massive shield that looked almost exactly the same as the sword, the edge marked by the crackling electric band, but the whole shield itself seemed to be made out of a slowly crackling electric field. His hands were protected by metal, mirror-smooth silver, and fabric gloves, the fabric made of the same bright white material as his pants.

This "man" stepped foreward off of the rune, his body still crackling with an electric aura of sorts, large arcs of electricity flowing slowly around him. He then looked at Dame, and pet the tiger beast as he spoke.

I am Volt, Guardian of the Elemental Plane of Lightning. Who is it that hath called apon me to form a pact?

His voice seemed disembodied, not a solid tone, even though his mouth was clearly moving, and a slight reverberation accompanied it as if he was saying the same thing a few times....

Damrius opened his eyes, and saw everything that had happned. He had jumped up, and started to back away, but that was showing fear. He had no need ot. It's a pact forming, not a slaughter. He held his ground.

I'm... Damrius.

He stood straight up now, and stared directly into the guardian's eyes.

Damrius
I'm... Damrius.

He stood straight up now, and stared directly into the guardian's eyes.
Be ye he who hath called me forward to create a pact, Warrior Damrius?

His voice was strong, powerful, and not one of kindness or malicious intent, merely neutral as he spoke.

Yes.

Damrius said this, his voice changing to a nuetral tone.

Whats with all the energy fluxes today? I better check it out...

Silver looked over at Ryudo, not bothering to interrupt the dragon's conversation. Thusly, he went go investigate the energy source.

"I'm heading out for a sec..."

Your desire to create the pact has been noted, Warrior Damrius, but be ye warned. Not all who ask this recieve the honor of the pact. You must prove yourself worthy of the power of the Plane of Lightning. Do you consent to being Judged, Warrior Damrius?

The tiger beast roared as lighting and thunder rolled overhead, as if making the exclamation mark at the end of Volt's statement.

*********

Ryudo nodded to Silver, but warned him to stick with the others.

Damrius nodded.

Yes. Let me know what I must do.

Nothing is going to stop me... it can't. I have to do this... To save Ryugi... He's like a... father to me... beleive it or not...
PostPosted: Mon Jul 17, 2006 9:59 pm

Damrius
Yes. Let me know what I must do.
To Prove yourself a worthy holder of the pact, you must defeat me in battle. Only in battle can your true strengths be determined... Do you accept this challenge, Warrior Damrius?

The tiger bared its electrical teeth at Damrius as Volt spoke.

Damrius pulled his battle gloves out from behind his back, and nearly put them on.

Wait... Weapons make you weak... To truly prove myself and to have him judge me fairly... I hsould attempt to defeat him with my bare hands...

That is when Damrius tossed his gloves behind him, and brought his hands up. He saw scarred tissue formed where he had felt the burns. Lightning. Of course.

Works by me.
