Uuuuurgh. I'm so angry at my BD. He has this thing for marching band that just irks me. It's like he wants as many sousaphones as possible. He hates to give any up. And because of that, my chances for being a drum major has greatly dropped.
Bah.

Bah. Makes sense i suppouse, there are a lot fewer sousaphones, compared to the rest of the band, and they are the base. That sucks though, i doubt he'd stop you from being drum major if you really are good at it. I play only one low Brass instrument as of now, Baitone (2 if you count the marching baritone). Chances are that won't change, but since i came from a Trumpet to a Baritone i can still play and read trumpet music fairly well.

Yes! Fellow Tuba players! I play Tuba, Sousaphone, Trombone, Baritone, Alto Sax (I know it's not low brass), and Euphonium.

Awesome! Low brass is of course the best section heart
Oh and Kinmotsu I know what you mean. I'm one of two sousaphones in my band plus I'm the only one you hear. The other one is really weak musically..plus he's unreliable and disobedient (which I plan to remedy next summer) but yeah..no way would he let me be DM...I'm going to try out for Drill Sgt. though so I can still play 3nodding

That's kool. One Bass Clarinet this past year was really nice to me. When my master (I was bought as a freshmen at band camp) wanted me to get him some water while I had my susa on, she yelled at him and told him not to order me around when I had my susa on. We are pretty good friends to this day.
