Tomoro smiled lightly; of course, she still believed that this girl was young, when she was probably her age, or even older. Nevertheless, Tomoro sighed and looked off into the distance, her hair blowing into her face. It had a dull contrast compared to the carnival; the light from the bulbs on the ferriswheel lit up the bottom part of her face, and it was getting a bit dark.

It took a long while for that question to register; she'd never been asked such a thing before. She certainly couldn't answer her direct family... she hated them. Her dad was god knows where and although her mom acted like she loved her, Tomoro knew that wasn't true; her mom had become depressed ever since her dad left them. Her fists slightly clenched when she thought of him, that b*****d. Slowing her breathing pattern, Tomoro closed her eyes, and thought about the question a bit.

"My Grandmother..." she said, smiling slightly. "Grandma was the only one that ever understood me... we went through a lot together. She's the only reason I'm alive right now." Looking down and away from Joy, Tomoro smiled; her grandma was the one that kept her going, and convinced her that she needed friends, unlike her dad, which opposed them like useless labrats.

"And.. I have many friends now. And I love a man..." Tomoro stopped after this; she just revealed something a bit too private. Wasn't she the one who despised all men, since they had hurt her so badly? She bit her lower lip, and shook away the thought. "And... there's another guy that I'd like to find more about. That's all, though." Facing Joy once again, Tomoro took a small breath as the ferris wheel began to come down, a small musical tune emerging from the core of it. "Yup... I have a pretty bad past, so I don't want to talk about it... how about you, Joy? Is there someone special you love and want to be with?"

Kai cast a furious glance around at everyone, growling deep in his throat. Yes, let out your anger! his mind screamed happily, and Kai's teeth ground together. "Shut up," he hissed under his breath, accidentally aloud. His eyes darted towards Kaori as she stepped back, and the blue glow began to fade. His racing mind found the memory of himself almost hurting her, and he winced inwardly. Outside, he was still shaking in his rage.

Then he looked towards Meghan before his eyes darted towards the ground. He began taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm himself. There were too many people around... No, let it build. She had no right to do that! Kai snarled and then breathed out again, crouching down and covering his head with both arms, gripping his own hair tightly. He was still shaking, and his tail was still thrashing around, but his face was now covered.

Kaori took another step back as Kai looked at her, even though his eyes lessened a bit in their intensity. The gaze alone still managed to make her shudder. Then she paused again, looking around at everyone. She blinked in surprise as Meghan actually approached, and started to pull her back when Kai glanced at her as well. But he seemed to be calming, and soon he was crouched and covering his head. Kaori took a tentative step forward again, looking towards Sai, who seemed to be so calm. She sighed, bowing her head slightly as she continued watching Kai almost anxiously.

Kai tensed as Meghan touched him, and pulled his arms more tightly over his head as if ashamed of his actions. Then he sighed, though it sounded much more like a growl. He shifted one of his arms slightly so he could see her. His eyes were back to normal once more. ".....sorry," he said and then stood to his full height again. He turned, glaring towards Shepard for a moment before staring at the ground. He ran a tense hand through his hair, closing his eyes. "I don't... want to ruin tonight for everyone," he muttered quietly.

Kaori jumped slightly and turned towards Sai as he set his hand on her shoulder. She smiled faintly, not having realized she'd been that tense. She breathed out in relief as Kai appeared to be fine again, then followed Sai's gaze curiously. She found herself watching Shepard.

[Haha, he wouldn't freak out because of anger at least...]

Kai bit his tongue as he began to growl again, but then shook his head, bowing it slightly. "It's seems more like she'd become withdrawn since he died. Or... I don't know. But that was the last thing I... expected." His hands clenched again as he wiped his mouth once more. He paused, and then nodded slowly at her words. "Yeah, we're fine..." he said quietly.

Kaori blinked, turning back towards the group. She smiled and nodded at Meghan. A lot had happened, but her eagerness to ride was slowly returning. Her ear twitched slightly as she caught Sai's words, and she tilted her head slightly, adjusting Kei in her arms. She frowned faintly, then shook her head. "I don't see why... Kai's fine now and he didn't do anything," she said quietly.

Kai watched Meghan, noting as the girl bit her lip, but didn't say anything. Instead he looked back up at the ferris wheel, feeling another small flurry of nervousness in his stomach. He pushed it away, shifting slightly on his feet. His eyes darted towards Sai and narrowed as the other male spoke. "Shut up..." he muttered, running a hand through his hair and pausing with it half over his face. "Don't laugh."

"I think we'll be fine," Kaori said absently, then gazed straight up at the ride, once more bouncing in place excitedly. "Ah, I can't wait!" she cried, clapping her hands together ad Kei settled on her shoulder now. Her tail flicked rapildy behind her in anticipation. Mentally, Kaori urged the people before them to move faster so they could hurry and get on. She grinned at the three people around her.

A shadow formed on the sidewalk and walked a little close to Kai and whispered smiling too, "I hope this makes you happy......I know you hate Misa so you know she is in my hands...That girl has no sense of clue...But back to my point, I see you hate her...I saw you shout at her you hate her...." The shadow giggled. The shadow whispered so low only Kai could hear it. " Tommow at.....hmm..6:00 pm exaclty..you could go to the Serine Cliff where Misa was supoosed to die which she is, you could see Misa get slaughter. I know you will enjoy..." The shadow whispered again. Even though the shadow was on the sidewalk it looked like it was Kai's shadow. "See you there. I can't wait untill Misa gets slaughter......Don't tell anyone ok?"

Sai nodded. "It is safe, don't worry, Kaori," he smiled to her. He looked at Kai, seeing him stop for a moment before getting on. He thought better of asking, but watched with narrowed eyes as he got on.

Meghan thought for a moment. "Yeah, I guess that's true," she said, taking the seat across from Sai. "All the same, you'd be laughing if it was one of us," she said, looking out the window as the door to the cart was shut; there was a small jerk as the ferris wheel started moving, taking them away from the platform and curving up into the air.

Sai laughed softly, shaking his head. "Don't worry, there's nothing to be sorry for," he said calmly, looking over his shoulder to see what she was looking at.
"Kaori-chan," Meghan laughed, looking at her, "Didn't you once tell me you wanted Kei to become strong enough to fly? And then you'd come up here as well?" she asked, trying to remember what she said. "Well, just imagine that time is now, and then it'll be better!" she exclaimed, giggled.
She looked over at Kai, hearing him sigh. She prodded his shoulder gently with her index finger. "Kai-chan, you're not going to look out?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
