If this were a cartoon, there would have been a shot at this point of Rachael's face with her mouth open and one eye twiching. This would then resolve into her sliding off the horse sidewards, to land on her head on the ground.
However, this was not a cartoon, and nor did Rachael even know what a cartoon was, so she settled with staring at Yserowne in shocked disbelief.

"Aiden?" Selden responded, raising a brow before shrugging, "Not what I'd choose, but oh well." The child, who had recently been named, peered up at Scarlette almost expectantly, waiting something to happen whilst his long pointy ears with barbed tips twitched slightly as he thought.
----------
Yse pulled a face at Rachael, "What? No clapping? Congratulations?" she looked a little put out by now, "Hmph. I'm guessing you won't even tell me your name then if you're going to be like that."
"Elizabeth Squire." the knight replied quietly, keeping her gaze averted from both as she moved to hold the head of the white horse, "And I rpobably don't have long before I'm called back to duty.. So if you're going to distract, kindly leave."
Yse blinked before rolling her eyes and sitting on the nearest thing, a bale of straw, "Fine. I'll be quiet."

A little tardy, Rachael managed to stammer "A-and I'm Rachael. Della Ferndale," before swallowing hard and returning her attention to the horse as it shifted beneath her.

Scarlette rolled her eyes, leaning down and hoisted the boy into her arms. Her raven brow quirked as she peered at the Bard in front ofh er. "Oh? What w ould you name him? Hmmm?" She questioned, crimson eyes narrowing at the elf as she held the boy ever so protectively. She was just now realizing as to they could probably be mistaken for a family. Irony. Not one of them are related.

"Nice to meet'cha, Rachael Della Ferndale!" Yse called from her seat, offering a small wave before Elizabeth went on teaching Rachael how to steer. The white horse was receptive to all the commands, even some that weren't supposed to be given, as the knight explained what to do with her feet.
"So you lightly nudge her sides to make her walk forward and pull the reins against her neck to make her turn. Got it?" the knight ended, turning her eyes back up to the squire hesitantly.
----------
Aiden, as he was now called, made a soft noise as he was lifted higher - now having to adjust his grip on her clothing. Selden gave her a shrug, "I don't know. I was just pointing it out.. Sheesh." he commented with a roll of his eyes.

Scarlette rolled her crimson eyes to the man again. One arm was under the boy's rump and her other rested on Aiden's thigh. "Well, for the moment. It suits him so shoosh." She said, poking her tongue out ever so childishly. She let out a heavy sigh, turning her eyes to peer at Aiden. She smiled warmly at him, leaning forward and resting her frehead against his ever so gently. "He's so mean." She whispered, her bottom lip poking out as she poutd.

Rachael nodded, and repeated back a summary of each instruction Elizabeth gave her.
The little red-head picked up the skills of riding fairly slowly, but not unusually so for someone who had not dealt with large animals before. Her confidence, though, increased at a slower rate than her progress.

Aiden giggled as Scarlette's face loomed up in front of him, their foreheads gently colliding against one another. The small child found the attention amusing, his little hands reaching up to feebly clamp down on her cheeks. Selden, on the other hand, did not find it so amusing and instead grew a little annoyed. He didn't really know what he was getting annoyed at, yet he was still getting annoyed.
----------
Elizabeth offered her squire a smile as she took a few steps back from her horse, now ready to see if the youngster could do most of what she had just swiftly taught. "Try moving her around in a circle." she stated, being careful not to say the words the animal would understand, else it would be lost on Rachael; it was the squire's time to learn, and hopefully through this process pick up a little confidence in the large animals. The large animal in question raised its head slightly, ears trained back on the rider in anticipation of a command.
"I wish my horse was like that.." Yse mused out loud, studying Kate, the horse, as the animal listened carefully to both Elizabeth and Rachael at the same time. "How did you come across such an animal..?" she asked in a louder voice, the question directed at Elizabeth who, in turn, turned her head about briefly.
"I inherited her." was the simple answer, her voice slightly distant as she continued and made the answer more full, "R-.. Sir Tripwood bought her from a farmer that had found her. The peasants had desperately tried to keep her a secret because she was so goodnatured and useful. It didn't work, but he ignored it and bought her like they were any other authorised horse dealer."

Scarlette gave a warm giggle in response to Aiden's own little giggle. Her ruby lips turned up into a cheerful little grin. Her crimson eyes keeping to the little elf's. Oh how she was amused. Even more so when the boy's hands moved onto her cheeks, her smile widening a bit more. She boosted the boy up a bit into her arms, being sure that he would not fall. Her forehead keeping to his and waiting for really something to tell her to leave.

Rachael obeyed, very slowly directing the patient horse around in a wide circle. It was not a terribly difficult task, but required enough of Rachael's nervous concentration that she did not hear the conversation between Yse and Elizabeth.
((Er... that really wasn't worth the wait, hey?))

"You should really get him eating something. And try to build up his muscles again. His limbs look like sticks and if your story about finding him is true, he probably has no muscle in them at all." Selden murmured before turning to recieve a message from a skinny messenger boy. He read quietly through the letter before turning to regard Scarlette once again, "If you're staying in my company, we must visit the castle at noon for an audience. You can do what you will until then, but come back to the barracks at noon." The bard then disappeared, moving his way through the hall that was becoming busy with replacement troops, to deliver the message to Elizabeth and the other knights.
Back in the stables Elizabeth smiled warmly as Rachael completed the set of tasks she called out to her, "How about trying to touch your toe in the stirrup?" she called as the horse came to a stop, slowly stepping over to her just incase she did happen to overbalance and fall. The knight had been hoping that her squire was growing more comfortable, having hopefully grown used to the movement and the commands.
It was at this point Selden appeared in the stables, stopping beside Yse's seat on a bale of straw. "I swear they're related or something." the archer mused out loud, "Or at least she's adopt- Oh. Hello you. You're a bard, right?" Selden grated his teeth, but held his tongue.
"At noon we all are required to head up to the castle for an audience with the lord. Please inform Sir Squire when she has a moment." he stated through his teeth, "And I prefer the name Sir Selden, if you do not mind."
"Pfsh. I prefer Sir Bard. I'll remember it then." was the only response he got from Yse.

Rachael looked at ELizabeth for a moment, not quite comprehending, before she got the message and slowly leant downward---
It was at this point that Yse's piping voice rang out, startling her. A moment later, she landed heavily, flat on her back, with a loud "oof".

Scarlette's crimson eyes narrowed at the man. Okay, he was annoying her. He could have been saved from it if he was a good kisser but no. Not even that could help her. She has had a better kiss in her lifespan. She sighed heavily, shaking her head and returning her attention to the boy in her arms. "Let's go get you somethign to eat. Alright?" She asked, not really waiting for an answer before she began to lead the way toward a Tavern where hopefully they would be fed. If not, she will just make a scene and probably burn the place down.

The trio had stood there blankly for a moment before Brin decided that it would be a good idea to follow the knight. The remainder of the group followed reluctantly.
The copper haired teen had no real reason for following the knight. After all, he looked very scary. That wasn't a motivating reason. He seemed a bit agitated. Perhaps that was it. She wanted to annoy him.
Malek rolled his eyes at Brin. I can't believe she's doing this. Is she stupid or brave? ...Stupid. Definitely. She has no reason for following this knight. He's clearly not happy. He guided Will, along, making sure she didn't have anything to stumble over. One of the many odd things about her was that she didn't respond much to what was around her.

"Oh! Are you alright!" came Elizabeth's voice, the knight's head soon popping into view as she leant over Rachael and helped her up. Her hands felt across the youngsters body briefly, "Did you hurt anything?"
"You're acting like that understudy is your child, Elizabeth." Selden pointed out, "And we're leaving for the castle very soon."
----------
Elizabeth and her dwindling front-line cavalry, plus one small squire, sat on their horses in almost perfect formation, with Rachael and her shorter chestnut steed standing just off the shoulder of Katie. Their armour was particularly well-polished to make up for the loss of members, and Rachael now had hastily fitted leather armour. The chestnut horse (although it was shorter than average and can thus be refered to as a pony) wore an almost matching leather breastplate, but that was it on the armour front. Its bridle was simple and its saddle did its purpose well enough, but nothing fancier.
Brin, Malek and Will found themselves standing in the protective square of the cavalry along with two foot soldiers[, Scarlette] and Selden. The square formation wasn't as protective as it could have been for there were only six although they would more than likely part the crowds on the street and protect them mostly from mobs.
"Just stay close to us and you'll be fine." Elizabeth murmured, leaning down slightly for Rachael's benefit, before sitting back up straight and slipping her helmet on. Adonnith was soon trotting up behind the group, having been late, and took up position to follow on behind, not a part of the square formation. He had with him a brightly coloured lance of his own colours with a golden banner fluttering wrapped about the long shaft. Elizabeth had a lance of her own, but it was plain white and only had a small black square of material that fell over her right arm. They were the only two knights left of the barracks with their own heraldic symbols and enough status to have a lance with such banners. Adonnith gave a shout from the back and Elizabeth began the slow-paced march up the road and towards the castle, the people on foot slowing them down.
