Miko's big baby blue eyes blinked rapidly as her mouth fell open in shock.
"You mean you didn't go to class at all? Suggoi...Nyas-sama, you are amazing!" The petite teenager jumped to her feet, beyond amazed. Nyas was so tough and so strong. How could she stand being as cool as she was? Miko didn't understand it one bit.
"I tried to skip class once.... I ran back crying before fifteen minutes were up. Ok, where do you want to go? Caf or student union? There's stew in the union?"

Nyas smirked slightly, and draped her arm over the girl's shoulders.
"Hai, amazing...and stiff as a board. Dunno if I'll do it again." she chuckled, making her body twitch comically. "I probably looked like I was seizing or something."
The dark-haired girl tapped her chin thoughtfully for a moment.
"Eeto...maybe the Student Union. I don't think I've been there yet, ne?"
She paused, catching sight of a familiar face. "Hey, isn't that that Yoku-kid? OI, YOKU! COME ON, LET'S GET SOME FOOD!"
Nyas waved to the boy, to follow, and turned towards the building.

Miko looked to Yoku as Nyas pointed him out. She giggled, shaking her head a bit.
"Oh dear, it's the dangerous assassin," the girl exclaimed with mock-terror before waving to the boy. "He's so funny. Who knew he had such a good sense of humor?"

Yoku saw how Nyas made signs to go to the union together and he nodded.
As far he could tell Miko was still her old self but Nyas seemed a little bit worn out.
He then quicky followed them towards the student union.

Miko ran blindly from the building, ignoring all the concerned or curious calls that came after her. She hid herself behind a tree, half obscured buy a particularly large hydrangea bush Sitting in the grass she drew her legs up to her chest and buried her face in her hands, sobbign, hiccuping, and sneezing intermittenly.
"Oi, Nanahara? You ok?" A bright blonde head peekd over the bush that hid the tiny teen perfectly. Had she not seen the blur of pink and green dart behind it, she'd never have known she was there. Well, that and the sneezing. "Aren't you allergic to hydragenea?"
"Leave me alone, Rizu!" Miko didn't bother to lift her head. Her small shoulders shook, and her headband was in real danger of falling off. "Achoo!"
The girl lookd at her sympathetically fr a moment then did as she was asked. She hsook her head a bit as she walked away. Poor Nanahara, she was always so hapy, so cheerful. If she were crying she must really be upset. And she had called her Rizu, not Ri-chan.
"Achoo-achoo! Achoo!"
But she hadn't really chosen a very good hiding place, now had she? Rizu shook her head again.

"Nekooooooooooooo-chaaaaaan!!"
Nyas came running out the building, looking around for the familiar pink hair and cat ears.
"Miko? Miko, where are you?" she called. Where'd she vanish to?
"Hey, are you looking for Nanahara-san?"
Nyas whirled to see a young girl with blonde hair standing behind her.
"Un, you seen her?" Nyas asked, still looking around.
"Hai hai, she's over there. Everything ok? She looked pretty upset."
The tall girl looked over at the hydrangea bush and head the sneezes.
"Doumo, I'm about to find out." she said, trotting over to the place the blonde had indicated. She saw the tip of one fuzzy cat ear sticking out over the leafy branches. She rounded the plant and crouched hunter-fashion before the tiny teen.
"Neko-chan, what happened?" she asked, reaching out and tilting the girl's head up. Her thumb brushed away the tears. "What did he say to you?"

Miko heard Nyas long before she knew herself to be discovered. She sniffled, a bit loudly, and rubbed at her bright red nose and tear streaked cheeks. Maybe if she was quiet, she'd avoid notice...
"Achoo!" Stupid purple flowers, Miko thought sourly. "Achoo!'
The petite girl jumped, visibly startled as Nyas spoke to her, seemingly from nowhere. Her cheeks began to color to match her nose as Nyas gently wiped away the tears that continued to fall heedlessly.
"N-Nyas-sama! I... uh... Sumimasen, Nyas-sama. I should not h-have run off like that. I didn't mean to make you worry, ne?" She shoved back her headband pink locks disheveled. "It's nothing, I'm ok,,,, really." She tried to smile, but it didn't quite work.

Nyas tilted her head and shifted to sit down beside the distraught teen. She took the cat ears and smoothed out the soft pink locks before setting the band atop her head again.
"Ne...You can tell me Neko-chan. What happened?" she said, putting her arm around the smaller girl. "What did he say? Do I need to hurt him?"
She pressed a kiss to Miko's temple, and the girl sneezed again. Nyas smiled at her.
"But first, maybe we should get away from these flowers. You're allergic?"

Yuusuke walked into the courtyard, moving his hair out of his face. He looked around. It was definitely alot emptier than the cafeteria or the student union, and that's what he was hoping for. He scouted around for the best place to sit, finally settling underneither a tree at the far end of the courtyard. From here, he was secluded enough that no-one would bother him, and he could see who was coming in to and going out from the courtyard.
He leaned back against the bench, sprawling his arms out, feeling the sun's faint beat come down on him as it began to set. He had spent so much time trying to avoid reality that he had missed many of the simple pleasures like this.
He closed his eyes, music playing in his head.

Miko nodded sheepishly, rubbing at her itchy eyes, reddened from more than crying. She tried to sniffle as she climbed to her feet, rainbow toe socks a bit askew, but her nose was far too stuffy for the action to be of any use.
"Hai, I hade dese flowers..." She pulled a pack of tissues from the small purse slung across her shoulder and dabbed at her bright red nose. As the two made some distance beween themselves and the hated foliage, and Miko could feel herself slowly returning to normal, she took the time to gather and sort her thoughts.
Obviously Nyas wasn't going to accept "nothing" or "I'm fine" as an answer. But she couldn't very well come out and say she felt more than a bit strange given her crush on the older girl. She was so confused, but that didn't mean she wanted to be rejected by Nyas if she took it the wrong way. The smaller girl bega to nervously chew on a piece of bright pink hair.

Nyas draped her arm around Miko's shoulders as they moved away from the hydrangea.
"Neko-chan, what kind of girlfriend would I be, if I didn't look out for you, ne?"
Nyas looked down at the girl, a smile on her face.
"No one gets away with hurting you, as long as I'm around."

Kimiko entered the courtyard and paused for a moment, looking around. Hadn't he said he'd be here? She sighed, disappoinment beginning to set in...
Then she saw a familiar dark head nodding in time to whatever tune was going through his mind and a smile crept across her features as she crossed the grass to stand in front of him.
"Hey you..." she said, folding her arms behind her.

Yuusuke's head jumped forward from the bench, looking at Kimi. He had taken this seat for the sole purpose of not getting shocked when Kimi walked out, but he had lost himself to the music in his own mind, and still gotten a nice little surprise.
"Well, you should up pretty quick," he remarked, finally gathering his words. "Are you gonna just stand there with your arms folded, or are you going to sit down?" he asked, moving over.

"Girlfriend?" Miko blushed a bit, rubbing her nose with her wad of tissues. She looked up at Nyas with red-rimmed eyes, and her stomach fluttered a bit with the thought of it.
"Ummm... I dunno... Arigato for looking out for me." She fiddled with her hands, shaking her head a bit vaguely. "He didn't hurt me... It's just that... Nyas-sama everyone keeps asking me the same question and it's just starting to freak me out. I'm sorry I'm such a baby...."

Nyas looked down at Miko.
"Well...only if you want to...Oh wait..." Nyas tilted her head. "That's what it is, ne? Because you've never been with a girl before...."
She sat Miko down on a bench, this time with no hygrangea in sight, and sat beside her, running fingers through the pretty pink locks.
"Miko...it doesn't matter what they think...What do you think about it?" Nyas looked down at the petite teen, her expression soft.
Kimi smiled. So, she'd startled him, had she? She sat down beside him.
"I think sitting might be preferable. But then I have been sitting all day...I'm just glad classes are over for two weeks."
She sighed and looked up at the leafy branches above their heads.
"Sooo....any specific reason why you wanted to meet here instead of the cafeteria or the union?" she asked.

Yuusuke looked over at her, being careful not to slip back into his usual, though definitely not normal, personality. "No reason in particular. It's just been beautiful outside lately, and I figured fresh air was probably a little better. I mean, the most interesting conversation we've had so far was up on the rooftops, wasn't it?" he remarked.
"So, what do you think of this festival thing? Is it gonna be more fun for us, or for the teachers trying to keep us in line?" he snickered.
