Kinoru sighed "Doesn't matter to me" Kinoru said as he started to scratch behind Kao's ears "If we judge the situation right we should probably be aple to complete the mission and live to tell about it"

*Shunketsu took his students' opinions...Kaida's, Kinoru's, and judging by Edge's absolute silence, him as well...*

Shunketsu: hmph...never a straight answer out of you guys...well Kohana-hime...it seems we'll be protecting you after all...
*Kohana's eyes filled up with joy...and she immediately got on her knees, bowing...*
Kohana: Thank you! Shunketsu-san!
*Shunketsu walked by her...he then stopped*
Shunketsu: never...bow to me again...a princess should have pride and common sense...
*Shunketsu then walked out of the cabin and checked on the ferry crew...he returned a few minutes later...*
Shunketsu: neh...we'll reach port in about an hour...get ready...

Kaida took the sake away from Maiko. "You need to behave for a while. I can't have you tearing your wound wider... Your friend needs you.. and needs you sober." She got up and looked to Kohana her hand rested on her hip. "Stay close to us alright.. we don't need anymore suprises..."

(ooc: sorry for not posting been busy recently but should be ok now sweatdrop )
Edge had remained quiet during the whole account of the story. Despite all the events that had transpired he felt he probably wasn't prepared as he had liked. He decided to keep quiet for now and keep his senses primed to be of more help to his team as the mission unfolded. He could only hope he would be of more use later.

((it's ok Edge, but being that I started the Genin Teams up, I have an obligation to follow the inactivity rules I set up...I already had to replace a student in Genin Team 2, and if I'm not willing to do the same with my team, then it'd be unfair...but now that you're back, we're all good))
*The group reached the other port, and they all got off, Maiko had apparently either recovered quickly due to Kaida's efforts, or the alcohol was numbing her pain...who knows...*
*due to the trouble on the ferry, there was a delay in the arrival time...and it was getting dark once again...the obvious solution was to get rooms in a hotel somewhere...and that's what Shunketsu did...*
*He returned to the lobby with a set of keys, he handed one key to Kohana, one to Kaida, and one to Edge...he didn't have one for himself*
Shunketsu: Kohana-hime, Maiko-san, you two will be sharing a room, I hope you two don't mind...
Maiko: but! Kohana is a princess! I am but a...
Kohana: ehhem! thank you Shunketsu-san, this'll do fine...
Shunketsu: o...k...now...Kaida, being the only girl in the team, you get your own room...Kinoru, Edge...you two share a room...don't destroy it...Even though we're in a public and crowded area, don't relax too much...but don't be suspicious stiffs either...we're trying to keep a low profile...

Edge nodded to his sensei and looked over to Kinoru. "I guess this means were room buddies for now." He returned his attention to his sensei again "Sensei do you want us to make use of of Kinoru's sense of smell and my use of sound to keep a sort of alert for now?"

Knioru sighed slightly. Kao seemed to sigh aswell. They would have prefered sleeping outside, but that would draw to much attention to them. Kao began to sniff around the lobby abit, partially from checking for signs of enemy ninja, but mostly because he was bored. Knioru kept his ear's open as he listened intently for any signs of enemy ninja

Kaida walked beside Maiko keeping an eye on her to make sure she didn't start drinking too much again. As they got off the ferry and found a room Kaida stayed near the other women expecting to be placed in the room with them. A look of surprise crossed her face when she was handed a key to a room of her own.
"Shunketsu Sensei... Shouldn't I stay with the other women? Besides what about you? Aren't you going to sleep in a room?" Kaida had a strange look on her face as she stood there.

Shunketsu: Edge, Kinoru...rest yourselves...the journey isn't over yet...if you must, then strain all night trying to find them, but I feel that rest would be a wiser choice...and Kaida...it's only proper for a shinobi to maintain a certain distance from his or her clients, especially when dealing with nobility...and me? I have my own plans to deal with...
Kohana: if that be the case, then Maiko and I will retire to our room...good night...
*with a bow, Kohana walked up the stairs to her room...Maiko followed, having a little difficulty with the steps...but she got up there alright...apparently, Maiko had done well in hiding some sake from Kaida's view...*

Edge nodded to his sensei's decision and went to the room he and Kinoru woul share. Entering it he decided to get on one of the beds but only after checking the room before lying down. He may have been paranoid but for now he had to take the mission seriously if he were to help the team properly.

Kaida spun the key around on her finger before waving to her comrads. "Good night then..." She took her stuff to her room and carefully inspected everything before putting her stuff down. Se kept the window closed and crawled onto the bed that was for her to sleep on just resting for a moment before getting up and going to take a shower.

Kinoru and Kao went into the room and went strait into one of the beds. After about 2 minutes the were fast asleep, there ear's twitching in unition every 10 seconds like clock work

*Shunketsu made sure everyone was asleep...he left a note with the inn manager and told her to give the note to the team when they awoke...he then began his walk along the river bank, stopping a little bit beyond the outskirts of town...*
Shunketsu: come out...I know you've been following us ever since your goons were smacked around on the ferry...
*a sole nin slowly emerged from the water...rising vertically until he stood upon the water itself...*
Ramen nin: oh? you're detection skills are that good?
Shunketsu: would you expect less?
Ramen nin: hahaha...now...down to business...I want Kohana-hime...
Shunketsu: hmm...well, if that's how it is...then...No...
Ramen nin: I don't want to make this hard on you...Potensharu Shunketsu...
Shunketsu: oh? it seems I am more well-known than I thought...
Ramen nin: Very few people can cause an explosion of that magnitude while underwater...Instructor Potensharu Shunketsu, fire specialist...Accepted as an instructor despite still being a Chuunin...
Shunketsu: well well...it seems you are very well informed...
Ramen nin: and you seem like a very talented ninja, but I am much more powerful than you are...there is just too much of a strength gap between us...Don't make me end your life here...and if you die, your students will most likely follow...
Shunketsu: My mission is to escort Kohana-hime safely back to the capitol...
Ramen nin: then I guess I have no choice...farewell...
*both charge at eachother...one pulls out kodachi, one a fuuma shuriken in its retracted claw form...screen goes black...metal on metal clanging sounds...white slashes on black screen...black screen quickly fades to a view of the ground...blood splashes on it...*

{morning}
*A distant rooster greeted the morning sun...the sunrise was clear and the streets were still empty for the time being, except for a few people who wanted to get an early start on their agendas...*
*Kohana was awake and looking out the window to the river...she was in her night gown...one of 20 that she had brought with her...where she found room to put all her clothes without wrinkling them too badly, no one really knows...*
*Maiko was still fast asleep...a jug of sake by her side...it's hard not to feel sorry for her...she's gotten that addicted to alcohol in maybe a bit more than a week...so sad...*
*Shunketsu was nowhere to be found...*
*the inn manager yawned as she took her place in the lobby, awaiting guests...there was a folded note on the counter that she was supposed to give to the 3 Genin staying in her inn...she was half tempted to take a peek at the contents, but decided against it...*

Kaida was the first of her group up and dressed. In just a few minutes she had all her things and was down in the lobby poking around looking for something to eat. She noticed the manager and went to inquire about her sensei. "Did my sensei ever come back last night?" Kaida had the need to inquire about her group.. she had to make sure everybody even her sensei was in one piece.

Kinoru yawn as he walked downstairs, Kao yawning with him "He didn't Kaida. Me and Kao heared him leavem but he never came back" Kinoru said as he leaned against a wall and strentched slightly
