Goku reveals his plan to his friends. Shin and Kibito find Gohan and take him to the world of the Kais. Buu eats his fill of cake, but claims to still be hungry so Babadi threatens the world with Buu transforming the people in junk food unless Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks reveal themselves.

Babadi gives his demands and now our heroes have 5 days to learn fusion or the earth is doomed. Trunks and Goten feel bad that Vegeta and Gohan are gone not knowing that Gohan really is alive and on the world of the Kais.

Gohan pulls out the Z sword and will begin training with it while Trunks and Goten at the lookout learn the fusion technique. Buu has destroyed a second city and is moving onto the third.

Ecosa's mom reveals to Babadi where Trunks lives, so Babadi and Buu are planning on destroying West City next. However, Trunks was sent by Goku to get the dragon radar before Babadi and Buu can destroy West City. Goku is stalling babadi and buu long enough for Trunks to complete his task.

Goku powers up to Super Saiyan 3 to show off to Buu and stall for time. Meanwhile, Trunks is searching Capsule corp for the dragon radar with his grandpa.

After a joyous sparring match with Goku, Buu is happy and has allowed Goku to return to the lookout unharmed. Trunks has found the dragon radar and is on his way back to the lookout. Upset with Babadi continuing to bark orders at him, Buu destroys Babadi and is now free.

Without Babadi, Buu has become more destructive. However, Buu does seem to be happier. Baba tells Goku he has 30 minutes left before having to return to Other world, so as soon as Trunks arrived back at the lookout, the boys practiced fusion or learned how to do the dance.

The boys continue to learn fusion and they get to see Goku turn Super Saiyan 3 once before having to say good bye. Buu builds a house out of people and he continues to destroy things.

When the Z sword breaks against the strongest metal in the universe, a Kai 15 generations older than the supreme Kai bursts forth and agrees to unlock Gohan's hidden powers in exchange for a kiss from Bulma. Meanwhile, the boys are ready to fuse for the first time.

When the fusion eventually becomes successful, Gotenks arrogantly tries to attack Buu and fails. He gets back to the lookout though and admits defeat and admits they do things Piccolo's way.

Hercule, wanting to end the devastation, decides to try to befriend Buu and so far it is working. Meanwhile, the boys are scolded for running off without thinking and now they know better. Elder Kai has finished the circle dance and is now working on stage 2 of awakening Gohan's hidden powers. For this, Gohan must meditate for 20 hours.

A pair of gun men are seeking cheap murdering thrills since they figured that they were going to die anyway. However, Hercule convinced Buu that killing is bad not knowing that there is an evil buu still lurking deep within fat buu. Fat Buu plays with his new puppy friend when the two gun men kill the puppy. Buu is stunned and it is uncertain with how Buu will react from here.

After one of the gun men hurts Hercule, Fat Buu loses it. While healing Hercule, he tells Hercule for his own safety to run before something bad happens. Hercule listens and out pops Super Buu. Super Buu kills the gun men, which is a good thing, but now he faces off against Fat Buu and Fat Buu knows he's in trouble.

Super Buu turns Fat Buu into chocolate and eats him. Then with his new ability, he not only destroys someone, he saves Hercule and finds the lookout. Meanwhile Goten and Trunks have just fallen asleep.
