Karthin watched as the battle raged on. He killed a fair number of orcs and tried to find the best way to cleave through their numbers, but with fresh reinforcements coming and all of the chaos he couldn't think straight. He finally stopped trying to think and just decided to let his anger out once more. His allies were falling left and right. He ran through a crowd killing every orc he came across when he heard Angela scream in pain. He found her being attacked by a cave troll. He sheathed his sword and ran as fast as the wind up to the troll. He drew his sword and cut the troll almost twenty times in the blink of an eye. When he sheathed his sword once more the troll dropped dead. "Are you okay?" He asked her as he helped her up off the ground.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie....Angela nodded to him,"Thanks", she said taking his arm she was just as tired at him but he seemed so livid in the fight it was worrysome,"Keep a straight mind your body will deplete on you other wise", she warned looking upward as she hears the horn of the angels and sees a legion of them descend down and kill some of the orcs,"They are retreating! We must follow up!", she took off in flight following close to the angels as she sought out them in the skies she smiled in triumph as it seems the orcs were scarce in numbers now that another army had shown and they were getting tooken down faster than they could retreat,"Let not one live pay back th blood of our fallen sisters!", she called out to her brethern as they chased after the orcs.

Karthin used the rest of his energy to help hunt down the retreating enemies. As the last one was slain he nearly collapsed on the ground. He was panting heavily and all of the rage that had built up in his heart over the years seemed to have vanished. He was finally given the chance to catch his breath and mourn for his fallen elves. The toll of this battle was heavy. A lot heavier than he could have ever expected it to be. He looked up at the trees towering above him, and sent a prayer to the earth mother. He asked for her guidance and her protection not only for the ones that had passed already, but also for the ones that remained on her earth. He then let the tears flow down his face. It was his first real war, and even though they won he wasn't sure if the cost was worth it.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie....Angela and the other flew back and they came upto the queen and Ravena her aunt the oldest of the elders at the time dropped to one knee and told the queen as the rest of the Valkyrie followed,"We are thankful for your help today in this great battle we shall mourn the loss of your dead as well as our own", she told her,"If you will allow us we shall take our leave to bury them back home on the island", the girls all nodded as some of the angels were there to help with any wounded there numbers weren't as great as the elves as less than a hundred valkyrie women fell that day but being as the valkyrie were a smaller race it was a greater loss then they would have liked and as they all stood up cradling the dead. Angela found one of the younger girls a new woman barely over the age of 300 that had her first battle her first war.. and she knelt and cradled her in her arms as if she were her own child and carried her body over to her sisters as the angels helped carry some of the deceased to. All were in pain today it was more than any could bare but they won the battle and hopefully the war....

Karthin rejoined everybody at the palace as the Valkyrie were collecting their dead sisters. He watched as the angels helped heal the wounded and heard the things Ravena told the queen. He closed his eyes and leaned against a wall. He had let out all of the tears his body could produce already. He wasn't sure what came next for him, his people, the alliance, or of the feelings he still had for Angela. He was scared, but he couldn't allow anybody to see it.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie....Angela waited for her signal and they all took off in the air in unison like it was choreographed but really they were just all in sync they knew how it was they knew there would be loss and they all know there would be several crying mothers today over the loss of their daughters and angela remained silent as she joined them all in the sky her thoughts of karthin far away in the back of her mind as she placed her people before her own personal feelings at that moment.

Karthin watched as they all flew away into the sky. His mind was such a buzz of activity that even though multiple people were talking to him he felt like he was underwater. All of the voices were low and garbled up. He stared at the retreating forms of the angels and valkyries. He only stopped when the sun hurt his eyes too much. He calmly walked through the crowd of elves and made his way to his house. He was exhausted and yet not really sure if he could even sleep right now. He lied down on his bed and stared up at his ceiling. He contemplated his life and looked back on his actions. All in all he didn't regret much. He did the best he could with the life he was given.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie....Angela blinked slowly as they went through a long journey home back to her island and once there they all took the fallen and graves were being made before to long and many death ceremony and many gathering of mourning mothers and sisters and finally after what was a whole other day she was given the opportunity to rest and that night she fell into a deep sleep and within her sleep she dreamed of a peaceful world something that would not worry her but in doing this she had a prophecy.. of herself she was with child and the hands and a familiar face of one she loved she finally blinked her eyes open dawn of the 4th day since the battle she felt weak and light like air she had bathed whens he returned after the ceremonies and she turned to see her mother sitting next to her smoothing her hair,"You for seen the future my child?", she asked curiously by her expression. Angela shook her head,"No mother just a dream", she breathed slowly laying back upon her bed as her mother nodded and left the room her balcony was open and the white sheer curtains billowed in the breeze she closed her eyes once more from the warmth of the breeze. .

It had been four days since the battle in the elven woodland, but for Karthin it seemed like nothing was changing. He still felt that emptiness inside of him. It's like something he has never felt before. It's not like something was wrong, but more like nothing was ever really right. There was always something off about the world. "Could it be that I really did imprint on her?" He asked himself out loud. He shook his head and tried to go about his day, but the more he thought about it the more it made sense to him. He has heard from a few elves he knows that have imprinted that this feeling of emptiness or this sense of diluted colors around you can be signs that you have been away from the one you belong to for too long.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie....Angela found herself later that afternoon walking about her room as she asked a passing valkyrie who had brought her herbal tea,"Has Karthin returned?", she asked finally coming to realization he didn't return after the battle. The girl shook her head,"No.. It seems not", Angela nodded respectfully,"Elvish customs are different they may be in mourning for weeks upon months...", she observed she wondered if it were years and her heart quiches at the thought of such a thing... She would drink her tea before her small fire place that was only light very small for a tiny bit of warmth. As she continued to pace through her room her windows and Balcony open and she felt her breathing finally let out a sigh of defeat as the sun began to sink.

Karthin rose the next morning feeling a bit hazy. He shuffled through his things to find some clean clothes to wear for the day. After getting dressed he went to see the queen. He needed to know what was going on. It had been less than a week, but for some reason he was finding it hard to mourn for those he lost. He went to the throne room and bowed to the queen. "Good morning your highness." He greeted. She told him to stand and approach her throne. She had come to realize that she viewed the young man as the son she never had. "What's troubling you dear boy? You've been so glum since the battle has ended." She said with worry seeping through her speech. "I find it hard to mourn for our lost brethren my queen. There is something in my heart that has taken up the space, and I can't figure out why." He confessed.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie....Angela still found herself unable to see him the next day either and she dressed in a white gown and flew down to the beach in which she lay in the sand next to the ocean listening to the waves crash by onto the land and she felt the warmth of the sun and the coolness breeze of the ocean. She was in a desolated area that most would rarely see or even fly over so she was completely alone for the most part.

The queen giggled softly as she listened to his worries."It's the girl isn't it Karthin? Angela the valkyrie. She has gone and stolen my Karthin's heart." She teased. Karthin groaned at her. "And to think I came here to ask for your help." He said grumpily. The queen made Karthin look into her eyes. "Trust your heart Karthin. If the place you want to be is by her side then go. You have my permission to leave the forest. Just be careful out there, and believe me when I say that you have imprinted on a wonderful woman." She told him. He nodded before rushing out of the palace. The queen had let him know that he was not a bad person for feeling the way he did. He rushed to his house to put on his magic boots.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie....Angela blinked slowly as she felt herself drifting off to sleep on most peoples skins it would burn and hurt for staying out in the hot sun but it gave hers a sunkissed glow that was lightly bronzed by her magical ability to heal any sunburn she may have received. She slept late until the sun was setting...

Karthin took to the skies. He didn't care that the sun was beating down on him relentlessly. He would go to her and tell her everything. He needed to know if she felt it too, and if not then fate was a cruel b***h. He let his mind wander as he took the flight to the Valkyrie island.
