Irritated at her seeming incompetence Kith lashed out with her blade and felled a human with absolutely no trouble whatsoever. "Why are you such foul creatures?! I am not sure I'm doing us a favor, taking you back with me..."
Storming through the rain she shoved the human through the portal so that the girl clearly landed on her face on the other side. With her face set into mutinous lines she challenged, dared anyone to say anything about the battle that they didn't witness and couldn't possibly know about.

Through the portal, for a moment Ollie was simply overwhelmed -- drawing in a sharp breath and taking in his surroundings. He only needed a moment before he took off into the woods, missing out on all the human opportunities that Kithryn had managed to attract.
He, instead, found himself in an empty building, poking through burned rubble until he came up with a precious artifact. Reverently, he tucked it into one of his many pockets to look around for later, then turned -- head raised -- at the sound of his name.

You wander around the expansive forest and encounter a weird setup - it seems like a bunch of square things with humans around them. They're not houses, it's smaller, and there's clusters of Human families gathered around fires. You wander upt o one of them. - ATTACK THEM: They panic and run away like seagulls. You end up with no captured humans. - TALK TO THEM: You try to strike up a conversation. They start singing and invite you to sing and before you know it you walk out with a toasted marshmallow and not much of anything else.
He was separated enough from Kithryn, by now, that his wanderings dragged him not toward the sound of her voice, and not toward Nergui, but instead into a strange cluster of human beings who looked up at him (weapons drawn because they were always drawn) and went into a panic. It wasn't even that Ollie intended to attack, not really. Given the opportunity, he might have spoken to them.
His readiness warned them off. They scattered into the woods surrounding and he was left with a frown on his face, poking his way slowly through the remainder of their belongings.

The woods were dark, made darker by the rain. It meant that before too long, Ollie was turned around, finding his way back slowly to that first camp. With a scowl, this time, he kicked some things over. He smashed some holes in the already crumbling wall. In short: he threw a little hissy fit. And his mood was still bad as he stepped back out into the rain, voice raised:
"Nergui? Um, Kith...?"

[ To the Arctic ]
Waiting around didn't seem like it was going to do her many favors but find her teeth filed down into a thin line. Clamping her mouth shut just seemed the best way not to explode, to just let her irritation over Zosma's lateness slowly evaporate in silent frustration. At least the task at hand could put her at ease, maybe, depending on how well it would go. Going out into the human world wasn't terrible and perhaps without the priestess' easily distracted mind it could be enjoyable.
Maybe.
One elevator trip up and Siggy made her way towards the portals, specifically the one meant for the Arctic colds.
Stepping through she found herself in an instant contrast of temperatures but just as quickly found it settled and leveled. It was interesting how cold it really wasn't, in her attire no less, even as she journeyed further through the seemingly quiet town that the exit had been through.
Signy found nothing of real interest at first even for how long she ventured on, even the old base she came across held very little aside from an old human phone. Which she did pocket because why not.
The vegetation is everywhere, and then you hear a crack of branches and see a massive shaggy Human staring down at you. It's way bigger than a Human, and you're pretty sure you've seen War horseman with mounts similar to this, but it's standing on two legs so it must be a Human? - ATTACK IT: It takes 10 HP to take down and you take -5 damage after it has been defeated from a rather nasty swipe of its claws. (BEAR CAPTURED, GO TO STEP 2)
The first crack of a branch behind him, Ollie thought, must have been one of his two compatriots coming to check on him, helping him to find some humans that could easily be brought in. Instead, he turned to find a beast a good three times his size, pounding its way toward him. Ollie blinked and then raised both his eyebrows, because this human looked just a bit like Borr, he thought; a little fuzzy, but still good, and if he brought in a prize like this one, certainly everyone would be impressed.
With a bright flash of a smile, he readied weapons again to take it down.

As the bear lunged in -- clumsy and slow and dripping with rain -- Ollie dodged to one side, bringing up one of his antler dagger's below the ribs. It was only after he struck, and solidly, that he remembered humans were weak. If he hit them too hard, they might just fall apart on him, and then he'd only have a dead one to bring back.
He tried to pull the blow but it was too late, the bear bellowing unhappily at just how deep he'd hit.
His second blow, following the first swiftly, was at least more gentle. Instead of ripping through his opponent's stomach, he aimed for something that would knock it down, leave it quiet but not too terribly damaged. And he succeeded: striking but not too hard, so that the human went down with a bellow and a last glancing strike of its claws.
Ollie swiped water from his face, brushed at the new injury, and then -- annoyed -- stooped to swipe the unconscious hairy human up over his shoulders.

In the end, he wasn't too far behind Kith -- grinning widely as he tossed his own bounty through the portal and beamed up at the other horseman. After a brief look around for Nergui, he rolled his shoulders and tipped his chin up just a bit.
There wasn't anything but the ice and the snowfall for an excruciatingly long time, each step brought her to more nothing in the blankness of the region and a few times Siggy worried she was actually lost. A few times she had to stop and stare down at the white ground and calm herself before proceeding but it brought nothing but... well, nothing a little more.
Soon enough she found herself looking upon the distant shipwreck, at distances where the disturbing feeling did not reach. Being as she had not seen anything for some time, she naturally progressed closer towards it to investigate. Slowly the sensation began to creep up upon her and she felt the need to turn back and away but some form of curiosity took hold and she couldn't find herself turning back until it was too late.
Late as in getting a good look at the massive amounts of vines that encircled the shipwreck up close and touching them. Late as in realizing they were stealing a bit of her fear and even recoiling as she did did her no good and that she should have gotten away from the vessel much sooner.
Siggy grumbled, glad that no one was around to witness her mistake.
