He was a strong lusus, so for him to be that careful with her showed Koko how much he adored her. Koko smiled wistfully, ruffling his hair. She was truly thankful to have him as a lusus.
Soon after, a worker troll passed by and Koko was assigned to help out with one of the groups. Koko wasn't really good with thinking with her head, more with her heart, but she managed to offer some ideas that seemed rather useful for the development of the future space ladder, as well as keeping as many trolls out of the way, should the tragedy Panili had foreseen happen. Strategy at its finest!

Skyli Peep Mahmud HADILL SESHAT is fighting the ROGUE SCIENTISTDamn, Lanata could pick a fight! Flutterbugs stirred his insides at the sight and while he was still nervous and scared, another feeling started to overtake him.
"Coo?"
"E-Excited? Really?" Was he excited? Well if by excited, Harpommy meant her child was jumping up and down under her wing while grinning from ear to ear? She was right. Mahmud Seshat was excited to see Poe and his own Lusus be so cool! And then he realized...
He looked like a big ol' wussy.
Compared to Poe who ran into danger to help his lusus he was the biggest wussy in this room right now, hiding behind his mom. "Ommy... can we--" He need say no more. Harpommy gave a coo and nuzzled her child once before hopping away to kick some serious feather. It didn't make him seem any braver but... was there a lot he could really do against an adult troll?
"Come on Poe! Come on Ommy! Come on Lanata! You can do it, go go go!"

Who said he couldn't have some fun while he worked?
By darn it, if Mahmud couldn't be allowed to go near the elevator to observe it, and if the only way he was going to learn more was by talking to the older trolls? Especially without his ommy there? He was going to go dedicate his time to the library on his breaks, and look for some information HE could use for once.
Luckily enough, he found said information in the form of books on architectural design and construction. Later on, Harpommy cooed proudly at her little tyke regurgitating information like it was lunch time for them both.
Wait, ew.

If it meant he'd be closer to finally touch the structure everyone was working so hard to erect, Mahmud would be more than happy to deliver messages back and forth to whoever. Except not. Mahmud actually hated talking to other trolls, and was more relieved when most of them chose to pass notes along instead of verbal messages.
The little boy spent most of his day running messages between the main hub and the tower itself, once in a while stealing a touch of the big building being... well, built. Its structure seemed sturdy enough, but he couldn't help but feel nervous about it.
Why was he so nervous about this Space Elevator? Shouldn't he be happy?
Eh. It mustave been nerves.

BONUS ACTION for doing two actions earlier!
Mahmud was serving the hustle, alright. Today seemed like it was going to be a great day! So far he had only minimally wigged out on trolls who tried to talk to him, Harpommy was proud of him for talking to others yesterday... today was going to be coming up smelly romantic flora!
Yet something still seemed off about the tower.
Maybe it was some of the arguments he snuck peaks at in the notes he was told to deliver. Perhaps it was the flaws others said they found in the mess hall. He didn't feel right with how FAST it was being built, given his own experience in construction... but at the same time, he was only one kid. This was an entire team of trolls. It made sense that such an elevator could be built far faster than expected.
... Right?
Well, it was really none of his business. Maybe he could find a troll to deliver this message to in the library.

Besides, morning would come soon and then he could feed. A long, gnarled, strong root unwrapped itself from his feet, waving lazily at first and then lashing faster. It was thorn lined and eerily clean except for deep grooves that were dyed with the colors of old gore. It wrapped around a robot, intending to break it as it would one of the daywalkers that he fed on. However, terrifying as it - and the other tendrils that started to unravel around it - were, they were made to grab and tear dead, rotting flesh, not metal. Ineffective, it did keep one of them still enough for Maku to toss them away with a hand...

With tears in his eyes he wobbled out of the room, wood splinters littering his hair. The brownblood proceeded to find a different table to hide under, one that was much less in the line of fire of who-knows-what. He looked desperately at the door to escape, but it was blocked by lots of threatening looking trolls.

Luxara had a few questions, but wasn't sure she wanted the answers. Why was this troll coddling a stapler? Who hired this guy?! Luxara squinted at the nonsense, soon getting stapled for the process. She hissed in a breath. Painful! Stupid! Annoying! What a ridiculous situation. Time to work on ending it.
Like before, finding no one else to team up with for the moment, Luxara searched for her own box to nestle onto. She reloaded, waited until the scientist was distracted, fired. A good shot! This corner could be of some use for a bit, actually. She pulled out some more ammo.

The cardboard flaps crumpled a little under her, but whatever was in the box was solid enough to keep her from falling in. Luxara liked to think the material was just flimsy. Still, with her footing still in tact, the greenblood was content to continue to crouch. Out of sight, out of mind. She reloaded her crossbow, then got her correcter going on her eyepiece. She stared the scientist down over the barrel of her weapon.
Wait for it...wait for it. The crosshairs line up. Shoot! She pulled another bolt from her pocket, pulled the shaft back. Again! Go! But the scientist seemed to notice her after that. She jumped off the box, prepared to stalk again.

Buffel's vision was bleary as he blinked himself back into focus. Feeling the soft fur of his lusus (not to mention his crushing weight,) he pushed the howlbeast off to the side as gently as he could. He sat up to try to steady himself. Upon moving his leg, he felt the movement of the staple and winced in pain. Quickly, he grabbed at it and pulled it out sharply, releasing another sharp pain. ”GAH!”He put his hand over the wound, holding it tightly as he felt more blood. Through his tears, he looked up to see a tealblood with a worried expression. ”Who're you? W-we were fighting this scientist guy a-and he stabbed Spirit, and- and so I chased after 'im and he mussed me up good and then Spirit came back, and-,” Buffel had chocked the words out from behind what sobs he'd let escape, but stopped when he heard The Spirit rise. Rushing over to him, the child wrapped his arms around his lusus.

A number of trolls and lusii alike were joining in. Getting rather crowded, really. A little claustrophobic, really. A little bit of coordination could go a long way, Hemera realized. But, from what she could tell, it was getting too loud to be able to get anyone's attention. And, unfortunately, distractions would give the livid scientist an opening to cause even more harm. A tough spot to be in indeed.
She sighed and kept her boomerang ready. A lot of multitasking: avoiding other trolls, trying to have some personal space, and not getting injured in any way, shape, or form. It was dancing through a hellish obstacle course.
In the middle of the chaos, that damned stapler fell to the floor. Hemera thought the best idea would be to grab it before anyone else had to suffer, but apparently it was a trap. The scientist was on her immediately, and she fell to the ground. Her only defense was the kick-started ice, which fortunately grew over her quickly enough to lessen the blows on her person.

Hivestuck Name: Caiden Activity: Troll Relations Resources gained:+6 morale Caiden still had a few tears in his eyes. The whole scientist thing had really gotten his spirits down. Caiden looked around and saw lots of other trolls in the same position. All stooped, eyes on the ground, bags under said eyes. It was a sad sight. Caiden stood up straight, and balled his hands into fists. This was not how it was supposed to go, this was not him! Caiden yelled to get the other's attentions. "HEY" And got ontop of a machine, for everyone to see him. "We can DO this, okay?! We are trolls! WE ARE CHITTENTOWN! And we are gonna make the BEST DARN SPACE THINGY EVER!!" Caiden grinned again, feeling better. ''NOW WHOS WITH ME?!"

The tendril, however, was much more effective on a frantically passing shape that dashed by in what Maku - in his more awakened stake - recognized as either threat or prey. Thorns bit into the white-coated troll's skin as more tendrils came to join it. They were not strong enough to handle metal, but they could bite and rip and tear into flesh. While not quite as effective on fresh, living flesh, they would still hurt. They would still do damage... "Maku!" Sephos called to him, "Maku, put him down!" He was crying a little, because he recognized that troll - the white coated scientist who had harassed him. But harassment didn't mean he deserved to be seriously hurt, and Sephos... kinda... liked? him? Well, he was feeling something anyway, and he knew that he didn't want to see them too bloodied. The scientist fell from the loosened grasp of the treebeast and scurried under a table to cower and mutter about his stapler and pens and such. Sephos hid behind Maku, trying to put out the fires as best he could. This was all too much for him.
