Yaaay! Questions and not assumptions! Love it! You're wonderful~

Alright, so, your character has so much Evocation and Abjuration that I wouldn't consider taking out either an option. It's in your best interest to keep those unless you wanna do some MAJOR spell reorientation. You've mostly got attack spells in there, and getting rid of Abjuration would get rid of any mana-draining qualities. Also, there'd be no way for the orbs to make sense at that part, and they seem pretty important. There are flavors of Divination, Conjuration, and Enchantment but not enough as to where I'd suggest you changing your schools entirely. You could add maybe...one more minor in Enchantment if you really want to, but I'd suggest against it. The more schools a magus practices in, the less effective each of the spells are. Rather than get rid of the spells entirely, I'd simply suggest taking out those particular aspects of the spells. So, for Aura of Fire, I'd refrain from saying that it enhances her abilities but just have it do damage upon physical contact of an attacker. Flame Control could still be manipulating fire but not gaining effectiveness boosts from being around it. I'd suggest getting rid of Flame Portal entirely. Shield me from Flame I'd probably suggest getting rid of as well, and I'm sorry. I know it's one of the higher ones, but it's boosting and healing. If you picked up the Enchantment as a secondary minor, that'd be fine, so the only issue would be getting rid of the healing.

No, NEVER apologize for questions! I'd rather answer them all day than deal with a profile over and over again. It makes me seem ultra-picky, and I really try not to be *cries* I love answering questions, and these definitely aren't dumb!

When it comes to the orbs, the moving things is fine^w^ I lingered on it for a little bit, but it's okay~ Uhmmm~~ trying to think of words I might have to get my second opinion on this one^^; Up to a point, they're fine the way they are but the increase in power of the blocked attack is where I'm lingering. On the one hand, if you took the secondary minor in Enchantment, this would be totally fine; however, with your current schools, you could basically say that the blocked attack makes the condensed mana "angry" enough to retaliate two-fold. Uhm, I'm running these by Ren and am gunna see what he suggests/thinks.

Heheh, no worries on the explanation~ Making sure things wok physically is GOOD! SCIENCE AND MAGIC ARE ONE IN THE SAAAME. That's what the Witches know! BE AFRAID. Haha, but that's fine, then~ Just reword it for the mana purpose, and it should be okay.

Hope I've helped answer some of your questions! I'll get back to you with our thoughts on the one thing I was iffy on soon~ Lemme know if you have anything else you'd like to ask! I love it~

If someone throws assumptions instead of questions, they don't need to be making a character. lol You're obviously trying to make it fair, and follow your guidelines, so no one will have a problem in the future. You've made this guild from scratch, it's unfair for someone that's making a character in your guild to say you're wrong.

Quote:

Okay, I've retracted and added in: "Mauve, quite simply, can coat herself in an aura of fire to increase damage output if touched or stood next to. Her fire spells can be more easily pulled from the flames surrounding her, going from charging for a small fireball to a geyser that can engulf a large boulder." (If you want me to take out the fact fire spells are more easily pulled from the fire, I can do so. My mind was going to someone who needs posts to amplify fire abilities more, and how much easier it is to just pull from an outside source- much like Pyro from x-men.)

Quote:

Flame Control could still be manipulating fire but not gaining effectiveness boosts from being around it.

I've taken out gaining of effectiveness from being around fire, and simply reworded it into being a more stationary version of Flame Aura. If it still falls under enhancing because she's manipulating fire to enhance the size of a fireball, I can reword again/take it out completely.

Done.

Okay, that makes me feel a bit better. lol

I've changed it to the more angry concept and taken out the wording for legit redistribution of attack. "If they are used to block an attack, the mana that comprises the orbs will grow in fury and thus shoot back the same force at the target with accumulated energy of pure mana." I did keep the "so if someone's attack could lob down a tree, the orbs' energy can lob down two". If that also needs to be reworded/taken out, I can do so.

Okay, I'll leave it in for now until you get back on that.

I believe I've changed everything you said. Also, the only reason I added the orbs to weapons as well is because, while they are made by expanding mana and thus a spell, they are a constant spell. The effect of the orbs is why I made an elaboration ability in Rank B, but they are always out even outside of combat (which is another reason why I added the little tidbit in about their usefulness of moving things). I've still taken it and removed it from weapons, but I just wanted to elaborate on that a little bit to make sure it's okay that in roleplay I write as if they are constantly there.

To be honest, Ren did most the creating xD I'm just a stickler for rules, fancy text, and have high CHA xD

Good, good, good, sorry, good, good, yup! I don't see any other concerns I really have with it, so you should be alright! I do understand that's why you added them to weapons, but your description in the spell works well enough to get that across, I think. If you'd like to state that their existence once created is passive in the spell's description, that's totally cool.

You seem to be all set, though unless the VC yells at me later. Feel free to put her up in her character thread and begin posting in the Guild! Thanks so much for working together on me with this! It was really refreshing!

User ImageUsername: Living Eternally
Name: Margaret Grafine
Nickname: Maggie, Mag
Race: Minotaur
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Gender: Female
Orientation: Hetero
Alignment: LN
Affinity: Earth
Age: Twenty Four
Birthday: August 9th
Height: 5'8
Weapon: Yamaarashi, a katana Margaret happened upon while travelling, one that seems much more fitted to a half giant rather than the minotaur, almost rivaling her in size. Though its name is engraved in the blade, it isn't in a writing style which she understands so cannot read or even pronounce it. Maggie doesn't even know that those symbols are its name. From what she's seen, however, it's made of a very durable metal, and it's weight and size make it the perfect one-handed weapon for an ox of a woman like her.
Mage: N/A

Natural Abilities:
Mimetic Muscle Memory - Something Mag's always been able to do. If she sees something done clearly, then she can repeat it perfectly without fail no matter how much time passes. This only applies to physical feats that she's capable of understanding. Her memory does not at all help her intelligence or assist her in doing magic or anything of the sort. This allows her to copy some Natural Abilities save there is nothing fishy going on behind its use. She cannot, however, copy Magus Abilities, Unison Abilities, or Spells given their nature. This could change with the addition of mana, but still only apply to mana-beefed physical feats. Anything that hinges on actual magic or a is out of the question. Also, if there are any negative effects caused by the use of these moves, then Margaret will also sustain these making this rather dangerous if the user is not aware of what they are doing. This, however, does allow for her to learn new styles of fighting or physical feats extremely easily where it may take anyone else years to perfect such things, though it would take significant time to study an entire fighting style. RANK C
Primal Fury - Only comes into play if Mag is engulfed in unbridled rage. Given her personality, this isn't a very common occurrence. At the cost of her common sense and what intelligence she does have, the woman can tap into her animalistic instincts and go into a berserk rage. This exponentially increases her already crazy brute strength as well as her speed, allowing her to momentarily take on enemies that she may not normally be able to face in her right mind. Unfortunately, everyone but those she has deep affection for becomes an enemy as Margaret becomes a mindless monster. Although normally capable of being outwitted, all battle strategy goes out the window while this ability is in use. Some may argue that the ridiculous boost to her physical strength and speed may not be worth the sacrifice to her mentalilty. Mag is one of these people. While raging, she's seen to be giving off a slight purple aura. This is difficult to get out of. She must be killed, knocked unconscious, talked out of it by someone the woman isn't looking to murder, or run out of prey. RANK B
Tremorsense - Through the vibrations in the ground below her, Maggie is capable of telling if an entity is within one hundred yards. With this, she can tell approximately how large and/or heavy said entity is. Things that do not touch the ground or an item that is attached to the earth are not able to be "seen". This can also be used as a form of echolocation, as the minotaur can send out vibrations herself to get a read on what may or may not be in the area. With a source of mana, this can easily be altered to a form of second sight. RANK E

Magus Abilities: N/A

Unison Abilities: N/A

Relationships:
Lavender Grafine: Mother
Ned Grafine: Father

Strengths:
Appearance: What? Use what ya got.
Audacity: Mag isn't afraid to hold back for the sake of pleasantries. This leads people to see her as brave or bold when the truth of that matter is simply that...
Combat: Highly combat proficient, Maggie is quite skilled with swords and in hand-to-hand fighting.
Enhanced Smell: The mino is able to smell things several miles away. This is great for tracking, making sure no one is sneaking about, or getting easily distracted by the scent of food.
Enhanced Strength: Margaret is a total powerhouse like many of the minotaur race. Her muscles are honed to peak performance and allow her to perform feats and do incredible damage that may not make sense for her size and build.
Pitch Hearing: As a minotaur, Maggie can hear pitches that are much higher or much lower than one's average human. She can pick up humming or shrill sounds rather easily when some might not be able to.
Valor: No greater pride can be taken than in a battle well fought.

Weaknesses:
Agility: She's not very fast compared to other Knights.
Audacity: ...she has no filter. She's not one to hold back when it comes to her whims. This can get her in social trouble if she's not paying attention.
Cute Asian Boys! *nosebleed*
Dunce: Maggie isn't the brightest crayon in the box [probably because she can't see much variation in it].
Literally anything that falls under the category of anime trash. You could probably bribe her with manga, yaoi smut, or some kind of waifu pillow if you wanted to.
Obsessive: Capable of becoming very attached to something very quickly. In Mag's instance, she's become very infatuated with the culture of Yuki-no-Okoku and everything that comes out of it. Plainly, she's total weeb trash.

Likes:
Anything otaku [as much as Terra will allow, of course]
Again, Cute Asian Boys: Maggie likes what she likes.
Cows!: They're cute.
Eldrin: It's her home.
Fighting: There's no better rush.
Learning: She'd rather not be naive or misled so appreciates when steered in the proper direction.
Pears: They're her favorite.
The Open Sky: The blue, the clouds, the stars, it's all wonderful. It makes her sad that she can't enjoy a sunset to her its potential.
Yuki-no-Okoku: Every part of it. Culture, people, food, and more.

Dislikes:
Beef: How could she eat such things in good conscious?!
Brutish People: As hypocritical as that is, Maggie being an aggressive person [whether she believes she is or not] does not like being pushed around in the slightest.
COLORS! She knows her hair is purple! She knows her hairclips are blue! They look the same! Stop bringing it up!
Constant Questions About Her Deuteranopia: Everybody gets one.
Cowards: Those who need to take sneaky shots from behind do not properly enjoy combat.
Eldrin: Despite it being her home, it's far too crowded for her tastes.
Getting Called Dumb: She knows.
History: It's boring. She'd rather move forward than get trapped by the past.
Visual Art: It's hard to appreciate when such an important part of it is gibberish to the viewer.

Personality:
Upon first look, one might get the wrong impression of Margaret. For the most part, she's able to keep up this aesthetic from afar and when barely interacting with others. She gives off the aura of a calm, collected, put-together woman capable of taking out an opponent in a single hit. Though the latter isn't too far off, it's the previous that's misleading. Her beautiful, serene aesthetic does not at all reveal that she's a big, squishy nerd. The only mystery revolving her is how much bad reading she can actually get done in a night. How strangers see her and how those who know her see her differs greatly. She's well sought-after due to her looks and skill as a fighter, but after getting to know her, many people realize that she's an overbearing, gushy fool whose main use is beating up foes and having those birthing hips. That, however, doesn't mean she doesn't have any friends. They're simply quick to point out her faults.

Maggie isn't the brightest person ever. She's not quite moronic, but she's certainly spacey. Though she doesn't have the best intellectual memory or the most analytic mind, she isn't adverse to learning and in fact appreciates the mini lessons people might give her since being out of school. It's almost as if all of her brain's capabilities were poured into her ability to copy most physical feats she sees. There's also her strange obsession with the recently discovered kingdom Yuki-no-Okoku. After hearing about it, she'd taken a single visit and instantly became attached to anything related to it. The food was excellent, the culture was fun, the music was beautiful, and the aesthetic was so exotic and wonderful compared to a boring iron-coated place like Eldrin. It was hard not to become attached, but the most interesting part she saw about it was the less-loved pop-culture it produced in the form of black-and-white art books known as manga. They told beautiful stories, and their general lack of color meant that Margaret could enjoy it to its proper extent. Ever since her visit, she's been wholly attached to anything remotely related to the place. The mino would've stayed if not for the icy cold. It was a little more than she could handle, unfortunately. Despite being total weeaboo trash, however, Margaret is a a massive sweetheart and a horror to face in battle.

When not slicing enemies apart, Maggie is the first person to show her affection to those she holds such feelings for. She's overly sweet to strangers and even more so toward family and friends. Mag's normally the first one to offer her hand in help but may not get to favors right away due to slight laziness despite her enthusiasm. Either way, she's clingy and a bit to handle but really only over the top when it comes to those she's close to. Otherwise, she'll once again take on the very calm demeanor that many perceive her to have but its essentially just boredom. When it comes to battle, however, it's a different story. Mag's not one to hold back and takes proper combat very seriously. She hates those that use deceitful tactics such as assassins or thieves. The woman views them as cowards and thinks that a battle should be waged head-on. The heat of it cannot be fully enjoyed unless both parties are operating at maximum capacity with full focus. That's why her Primal Fury ability bothers her so. It's not a very appropriate way to approach a battle, so she does her best not to let it overtake her and keep her head cool. Otherwise, the hardened soldier becomes a viscous monster who prefers power over skill. Even outside of battle, the woman very rarely gets to a level angrier than disgruntled.

History:
As far as Eldrin goes, Margaret's had a pretty normal life for someone capable of being a Knight. She grew up with her two parents in Merdia, one of the smaller cities in the kingdom. To live in such an uncrowded place was quite pleasant for the girl, for she found the bustle of the cities too noisy for her tastes. Apparently, they had once lived in the city of Kaios, but Maggie doesn't remember their days there and isn't aware that the reason they moved was due to a rage-induced fit the young woman had broken into. As a young mino aspiring to be a Knight, she was rather popular in her new school, especially since she excelled in athletics and most forms of physical education. It was easy enough for her to make friends being such a cute girl and an absolute beast. Bullies were quick to feel her wrath if they picked on other kids enough to call attention to themselves. Perhaps she got in a few school fights when not being able to properly take on someone she thought weaker than her. She lost quite a bit of popularity points, however, when her grades in other classes suffered due to her inability to focus on subjects she didn't understand right away. This didn't stop her from trying as well as training, easily learning new techniques with weapons or hand-to-hand combat. Her innate talent for it helped produced her love for the proper ethics of fighting, thinking those that differed from an up-front attitude were no more than the same level of coward the bullies that picked on those smaller than them. It was wonderful, but her report cards were a little embarrassing. She wasn't free from being picked on, herself. Those she was unable to beat were quick to call out her bad grades or ask: "Hey, what's color is this?" Those...would lead to more school fights. Never did they bother her enough, however, to induce her Primal Fury, luckily. Needless to say, her social skills aren't top notch, but after moving out of her parents house and graduating high school, she was still highly-sought as a Knight due to her physical prowess.

Something felt like it was missing, though. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life. Many magi and Mages were seeking her out either as a new Knight or a part of their collection. It was flattering, truly, but most of the offers felt as though they lacked something. Her life felt as though it lacked something. Figuring she had two options, Maggie ditched the soldier route and took to adventuring, trying to discover new places and treasures while taking on enemies and threats to civilization. It was much more invigorating rather than waiting around for the right Mage. Hopefully, this way, she could maybe find someone that might offer something along the lines for which she was looking. That was when she heard about Yuki-no-Okoku a snow-covered mountainous kingdom full of culture and life. Mag spent two weeks there but fell in love on day one. She would have stayed longer if not for the cold... On the way home, however, the woman made an interesting discovery: a sword made in a style that she'd seen quite a bit back in the villages of the kindgom. If she remembered correctly, it was called a katana, though looked much too big for any regular-sized humanoid to wield. Luckily for Mag, she wasn't a humanoid of regular strength.

The woman has recently returned home and is looking to buy treasures from the foreign land that have been traded over or people who may have once lived there to teach her more about the civilization. She's also yet to give up her search for a Mage that won't completely bore her to death. For now, she's simply lingering around Eldrin, taking up quests or other sorts of things to keep herself busy.

Outfits:
Casual: The type of outfit that she'd normally wear home in Eldrin or lounging about.
Her Favorite: An outfit she bought while visiting Yuki-no-Okoku that more appropriately shows her personality.
Regulars: See Above and Below.

Items:
Warrior's Heart #2: Some smutty shoujo she'd bought in Yuki. She's looking to find the other copies.
Trail Mix: The wonderful sort of snack that never goes bad! Mag usually keeps a good amount of it on her in case she gets hungry.

Other:
Margaret has deuteranopia, meaning that she is red-green colorblind. Long story short, she sees the world in yellows, beiges, light greens, and blues [along with the white-black spectrum, of course]. Really deep greens, however, will appear as a light, unsaturated green.
She's vegetarian. To be specific, she's an ovo-vegetarian and still eats eggs. The thought of eating butchered meat sends chills up her spine, however. Perhaps it's because how closely beast kin are related to the animals so easily slaughtered for food. She, however, isn't so pretentious enough to look down on others based on their diets.

Living Eternally

1. Mimetic Muscle Memory - This ability should state that she is incapable of using abilities at the same level as people who have mastered them. I would suggest giving her version an automatic rank down.

2. Pitch Hearing should also be included in weaknesses, probably. I think you can guess why.

Username: kiwis poet
Name: Kaden Oshi
Nickname: Kay
Race: Catfolk
Ethnicity: Chinese
Gender: M
Orientation: Pansexual
Alignment: Lawful Neutral****
Occupation: Merchant (travelling)
Age: 25
Birthday: March 18th
Height: 5'8

Relationships:
❖ [NPC] Iwao Oshi - Father - strong bond, Kaden would die/kill for him in a heartbeat.

Strengths:
✔ Charisma; good at getting what he wants, especially discounts
✔ Inner Compass; Kaden never gets lost and could probably navigate blind
✔ Near-perfect memory; he can remember almost everything he's ever seen, which is helpful for finding herbs to sell or recalling good deals in cities

Weaknesses:
✘ Motion sickness; Kaden gets ill if he travels in wagons or flying beasts
✘ Cold weather; he wears a thousand layers all the time because he absolutely hates being in less than 70 degrees (F)
✘ Color blind; he skews some colors because reds and oranges and browns blend together to him

Likes:
✔ Free things
✔ One-of-a-kind trinkets
✔ Charms, keepsakes, souvenirs
✔ Street shows
✔ Festivals, weddings, big events

Dislikes:
✘ Critical thinkers
✘ Dishonesty [but he has begrudging respect for others who can dupe him]
✘ Strong spices in his food, he has a sensitive palette
✘ Waking up early
✘ Getting wet

Personality:
❖ Charismatic, trusting, brave (but in the stupid way), respectful, adventurous. Nosy, annoying, sly, gambling addict, ruled by vices more than principles. One thing that Kaden won't choose his vices over, ever, is family - his own or others. He believes there is strength in family and faith, as he's been taught, and holds that close to his heart. He also holds great disdain for adulterers and parents that abandon their family. Kaden has minor abandonment issues himself and tends not to form genuine connections right away (although he's bubbly enough to fake it), although he is fiercely loyal to anyone he gets attached to, and considers them family.

History:
❖ Kaden's family, for as far back as he can trace his lineage, has been residing inside Yuki no Okoku. As a child, he was instilled with a strong faith in spirits, nature, and the power of tradition. He carried these words with respect even as his mother broke tradition by getting a divorce and moving far, far away. Kaden stayed with his father past his eighteenth birthday - when it was customary in the Oshi clan to go on a trip for a year before settling down in Yuki no Okoku forever - to help mend his broken heart, and didn't take his year-long trip until he was 21. He came back on his 22nd birthday (right on time), and confessed to his father that he loved travelling and wanted to do it forever. His father, after some heavy consideration, decided to allow it and even gave his Kaden a wagon as a birthday present. Kaden then purchased two horses and some supplies and set off to be a merchant, creating his own rules and living however he wanted. Every year, Kaden stops by on his birthday to visit his dad.

Outfits:
Main
Traditional

Items:
Wooden caravan
❖ Bitter roots
❖ Acai berries
❖ Various tea leaves
❖ "Love Potion" -- water soaked with rose petals and jasmine, has pink tint
❖ "Mana Potion" -- water soaked with pine needles, scent of cinnamon
❖ "Sleep Potion" -- water soaked with lavender and lavender scents***
❖ Dozens of rolls of bandages
❖ A few loaves of bread and jugs of water for the road
❖ [assortment of local, in season herbs -- will be mentioned in character based on location ]

Other:
❖ **** He does whatever he wants so long as it does not bring dishonor on his family or contradict his principles of family (no cheating/abandonment). The code covers such a small part of life, though, that he's basically chaotic, but I don't want to discredit that he won't break this personal code for any reason. Take that as you will towards his ""real"" alignment - I consider him lawful, but recognize the surface appearance of chaotic neutral.
❖ *** The potions are fake and have no real affect, although cinnamon has been known to sharpen the mind and lavender can help most people sleep; these potions are "selectively described" so Kaden doesn't "lie" but convinces the consumer regardless that these potions will help.

Main Theme: Dance of the Yi People

❖ Rina is a mother figure, through and through. Comforting and caring for her younger siblings, her personality developed at a young age to be patient and nurturing. Others needed her, and she was there. Rina keeps her emotions on her sleeves, though it rarely changes from her cheerful demeanor. Known to help a hand and home a stranger on the off chance, Rina trusts people easier than the average citizen, and even fills their pockets with food and a tip to go. Good karma and bright aura surround her regularly.

History:
❖ Born into Carmillion, Rina quickly became the oldest of a family of eight, and was sought to being the home taker. Both her mother and father had been born of magic, and developed the gene within her siblings; but Rina was the odd gene out, forcing her to have to compensate with fantastic skills. Fantastic skills in cooking, that is! Cooking for 10 hungry mouths daily was a chore on it's own, but she found solace in knowing she was making those dearest to her happy. Her mother was an herb specialist within the city, making potions and helping local infirmaries, teaching Rina a few things here and there about what was best to use in certain recipes. While Acherion was apart of the Water City System of Lusia, maintaining clean water throughout it. Other family members, though, had moved out and were either in classes for magics, while some went for knight work. Sprawled all throughout the land of Carmillion, the Chronolympus family worked to better their individual cities. Rina, however, was apart of a main restaurant within the center of Lusia; busy and hyped for the length it's been open, and even a bit before. Being in the kitchen, her skills that she had honed at a young age were put to good use, compared as second to none. Living within the city, Rina had bought herself a nice sized loft with her earnings and pocket funds, large enough for herself and two other people, if need be. Not that she lived with anyone else, but Rin was known to give a helping hand to those kind enough.

Jam House

Hey there! Thanks so much for the profile submission! There are just a few things I'd like to address regarding it:

1. Layout: Very sorry, but we're no longer accepting profiles outside the coding of the skeleton that can be found here. There's also some misplaced information, so again, we'd suggesting using the provided skeleton. Profiles not only look better but can more easily be organized and reviewed with uniformity.
2. Abilities: Don't forget to rank your characters abilities! For tips on doing so, you can check out Character and Profile Information! State of Absolute, Burn the Tent, and A Good Guess all would be more appropriately listed under Strengths rather than Natural Abilities [these are untrained skills]. A suggestion to keep one within Natural Abilities would be to incorporate Rose's Affinity into A Good Guess rather than have it based on her experience.
3. Strengths/Weaknesses: You seem to be missing your Strengths section, and her Weaknesses are in an inappropriate part of the profile. Her farsightedness should also be listed here.
4. Personality: Your character lacks a personality. She's going to need one if you don't wanna RP with a blank slate ;3
5. History: Could we possibly get a little more on your character's history? It's great if she doesn't want people to know about her, but we mods need to know about her. Not that we think you would, but the same goes for all members: it's just so things can't be made up on the fly. Where she got her training, from what aspect of her past is she trying to separate herself, those sorts of things.
6: Ricochet Shot: This seems like something that would more accurately go under Natural Abilities though needs reasoning. My suggestion would be to explain this using your character's elemental Affinity by slightly altering your character's shots.

Once you've made those changes, please let us know, and we'll evaluate your profile once again!
