The boy was humming along to another song as it played on the headphones, grasping a broken pipe once more, as he moved over to casually bust a demon's head open. Energy flowed through his every bash...ANd, in moments, the demon had dissipated into the air.

Nekura MyonmuAnother fierce group of encounters...Another horde of demons.
The boy held the pipe in his hands, glaring at the demons with a vicious snarl on his face.
"Congrats..You caught me in a bad mood." he mused, before starting into the brawl, bashing skulls..and using the magic from his demonic allies to considerably bolster his own strength. The horde wanted to tear into him...wanted to rip him asunder....
But, he refused. Sicking thuds, vicious crunches, and a myriad of battered bodies later..
And Nekura emerged victorious, once more.

The boy was surrounded by a horde of demons in his moment of pause..in the short bit of weakness...
And, as he started to reach for his phone, one of his demons had already formed up...
The infero being...one that had been with him for a while. The boy watched it look back at him....and give what he could only assume was a smile. It's orange body glew white hot, and as Nekura braced himself for impact, the loud Explosion could be heard, as the horde of Demons was dispersed...

That's what was left of the area after his Flameis exploded. Nothing..Nothing but Magnetite, that flowed away.
"Dammit...I'll avenge you." he called out to the demon, slamming his fist into the wall. It had given it's all under his service....So, it would only do to take out it's murderer...To take out the one that commanded the hordes of enemies...

Nekura MyonmuAs the boy paced around the area for what felt like the umpteenth time...He noticed an unfamiliar figure in the area... A man in a suit..with a positively sinister image. The boy hesitated, before moving over to him.
"Hey...Old timer. You need guidance to a shelter?" he called, the man barely acknowledging him as he spoke.'I'm fine....You should concern yourself with the future.." he called, in an ominous tone. "For what becomes of the world...When this conception's true purpose is realized..." The boy lightly held his tongue, wanting to comment on how crazy koo-koo the man was...But, something about it held some weight to him. If this world was destroyed.....There had to be a purpose...
And, if things were going to be getting any better, he had to wonder....
'What WOULD make them better..?' he thought, clutching his hand as he moved on. His demons were fusing still, becoming more powerful..But he needed more. He needed to be even stronger than before.... "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"He let the shadow of the Shop fade into the distance slowly behind him; he didn't want to speak of the fight he had just endured, only allow the Red Viper to cross the name of a foolish devil off of his list and be done with the memory of what he hadn't managed to find in there and the dark thoughts that it brought about within him. His eyes were shadowed beneath silver bangs as he passed by the old Daidara's Shop, moving slowly towards the place where the Velvet Door had once rested in the streets...for his eyes only. Now it was gone, no longer a part of this ruined world...had even Igor and Margaret abandoned this world, then? He paused just before where the door had once been and remembered something that perhaps might make surviving in this world, putting down the Fiends who still roamed, a little more easy. Instantly he flipped open his phone again and started rifling through the Cathedral of Shadows, confirming something that he already knew...mulling through options before settling on one. Things like the one he had just fought...had to be destroyed. There was no reasoning with them. There was no survival for mankind as long as they existed here in Inaba.
He fused away his devils with a silent 'Thank You' and called before him the mighty Okuninushi, crossing his sword with the devil's in a gesture of solidarity as they turned to face the chaos of this town that awaited them. He had already seen, and gathered, some unpleasant truths about the world as it is...and as it was before. But there was still a task to be done. And he had yet to find Kisa out there and talk to her about what was going on, what she knew, and what they needed to do, respectively, moving forward.
But finding her was the least of his problems. Soon he would come to Junes, and he had not heard a word from Yosuke just yet...and then beyond that, the long path to the outskirts of town...and the Inn. Was Yukiko all right? Had she made it home? Or was she, and Yosuke as well, simply missing...the same way that Kanji and Rise were nowhere to be found right now? Maybe they were off together somewhere, surviving...he could only hope.

Nekura MyonmuNo sooner had Myon come out, did a vicious, and ungodly loud Toot-tooting SLAM into him, knocking the boy to the ground...But, not killing him.

Rather, it merely shook Nekura up, and brought him back to his senses.

"Damn horns." he called, passing by a demon..and bonking it on the head. He didn't pay the Preta much mind, but it had gotten worryingly close to him...And well, he wasn't taking any chances.
Energy flowed from it, but it was..feeble. Barely enough to muster an appetite at this rate. No...No..

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It was like something out of a nightmare; Junes's lobby was littered with the skeletal corpses of the armies of Hell, a streak of blood that lead to the staircase and a matted pair of footsteps in the thick, dried blood...no, two pairs. And this was just the lobby leading to the staircase. As he reached the stairs, he could see even more bones piled up on the floor...and a small, tiny figure with its hand sticking out of the pile, long dead now...but from the size and the scars he could gather that the little sprite had fought long and hard before she had fallen there. A demon had fought hard, likely for humanity, since it lay amidst a pile of corpses that were once surely their enemies. He took a moment to give his thanks for its sacrifice before he began to ascend towards the Electronics section, but he had no real intention of stopping there. He was already sure...the TV world was beyond them now, so there was no point in it. The third floor was the Department Store, which wasn't any better, and the Fourth Floor Grocery level was likely already picked clean by looters, at best...demons, at worst. Demons who were still there if he was really unlucky.
An angry part of him hoped that he was that unlucky, that he could take out some more of his frustration on something that he didn't need to feel guilty about killing. He hated that feeling, and hated that he felt that way at all, but he couldn't deny that it was there inside of him right now. Or really, the one he was mad at was himself...he couldn't be sure. But if Yosuke was in this town, there were good odds he was hiding somewhere in this Tower, and he was going to search every nook and cranny if he needed to in order to find him. The best bet was the offices in the back of the Food Court; that was his destination. But if he encountered something else along the way, well...
He had no qualms about letting them know just how angry he felt at the moment.Quote: 38 Tokens

"Rakasha." he called in a low voice, summoning forth his strongest demon. Heads were rolling, blood was spilled...and his comrade was avenged.
Yet, as he continued along, he didn't feel any comfort. No...Not yet.

"No...Not now.." he called out, wincing in pain..as a passing demon witnessed his prone self. The boy felt a foot plant into his chest, likely breaking a few ribs...And the demon looming over."Tch..You humans are pathetic."Nekura wheezed in pain...but felt something else looming over. A strange figure...That wasn't quite human. The figure moved over, holding up a hand for Nekura to take.....And, hesitantly...he did.
The boy felt a sudden rush of energy, standing back to his feet as the demon turned around."Ah..? What did....Stupid Mannikin.."Nekura winced, but stood firm...His new ally readying himself alongside the boy. Nekura closed his eyes for a bit, before lunging at the enemy, his newfound reserves of energy...Couplied with the demon's assistance enough to fell the enemy.
"I don't know how to thank you.." the boy called, as the man shook his head, bowing."No need to thank me...My name is Futomimi. I am a mannikin, like he said. I would..appreciate it if you would permit me to join you on your travels."Nekura paused, a bit taken aback...But then extended his hand, waiting for the man to do the same.

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"The second floor was clear as far as he could tell from a glance, and as he made his way to the third floor he saw the signs of a large-scale scuffle that had taken place very recently if his deduction skills were in any way sharp. Skeletal corpses littered the entire stairway now, but rather than linger around and dwell on what might have happened here, he continued on up the Tower towards the 4th Floor, and it was there, in the grocery section of Junes, that he encountered what must have been the demon acting as some sort of a de facto 'Boss' of the Tower. Feasting on the meat in the back of the Tower while his skeletal soldiers lined the aisles, Soji could see him from the entrance at the back...but even as he watched him, the demon took no notice of him, so wrapped up in its gluttonous feast as it seemed to be. He could have walked up close behind it; he probably could have cut its throat and it never would have been the wiser. Such a foolish demon. Something inside of him told him that it would have been the smart move.
But right now, he wasn't feeling like doing the smart things. Right now, he wanted to do something satisfying.
"Ippon-Datara," he spoke calmly from the door at the devil that reflected a persona he had seen once, long before, his sword held loosely at his side...eyes solid, challenging as it turned and looked at him with its one eye, "One chance to save your skin. Tell me if you saw a human with orange-brown hair in this Tower, then leave."
It didn't answer. It seemed to look at him like meat, lifting its hammer slowly, menacingly. He could tell from its pleased, low laughter what it intended to do.

And, as he brushed the sweat from his brow once more, he let out a deep sigh of relief.
'Nice to know not all otherworldly beings are....horrid.' he thought, wondering about his friends once more. Youmu was probably fine, but Ellie...

Nekura MyonmuAnother surprisingly peaceful path..and some more chatting wit Futomimi. Apparently, there was a whole colony of his kind..And, they were all eccentric in their own ways. Nekura conversed with the being more and more as they circled Inaba for what felt like the hundredth time, a bonk on the head of a preta providing him with a small token of victory.
"So..tell me more about the Collector." he called, asking the Being to continue his stories. Maybe, if they kept moving along like this, he'd even share his own little stories....
