Micah had managed to scrape up enough coins, if barely. He wasn't going to be buying anyone else, but he could save himself. The collar came off his neck, and he breathed a deep sigh of relief.

The attendants looked him over, taking measurements, asking questions. He was given a collar, a number attached to it. This was what he was worth to these people. 130 coins. His hands went to his pocket, fingering the 50 coins he'd started wtih.
