I just wanted to say that I am extremely glad to see the amount of people actively chatting in the OOC and getting to know one another. I feel like we have had a wonderful start to this journey, and we have a great player base to make this guild really work. Thanks so very much for all of you coming here (or coming back) to make this work.
I am so very excited to do some writing with all of you, and I hope that we can keep this thing going for a very long while yet! You're all wonderful, and I am glad that you have found some form of interest in the world that has been woven. There is MUCH more to come as time unravels, and I can't wait to share it with you all.

The first wave of Baiters has been populated. I will not be doing a recruitment run for a little bit, until all of the Baiters who currently have joined (yes, the ones who have not made profiles, you still count, if you get them in soon enough. ;P) are through the exams. And those of use who are here now will be the ones who have exclusive access to the upcoming guild event.

It had been hundreds of years since the city gone dark which reduced us to only seven outposts with other viable places to live but dangerous (which we can make up as we go along)
I can only assume on the quality of life but considering the situation we have right now, A.I. Cores out to snuff the life out of every single human beings in the entire planet.... we have the rich and poor people with money the basis of how good their life is. Since the next question, about economy class, is connected to this one, I am not sure but its likely there.
Combat is pretty much free for you to come up many styles to go with as long as you have a good amount of info to back it up. The tech is pretty high at this point so you can come up with numerous things. Look at my character, Quantis, who uses a combat suit and to Europe, Paris BAITR Headquarters to know how she fights. The only limiting here in combat is that your skill will determine how many strikes you can do and you can only leave it vague if it hits or not.
From what I can see so far from other people's profile, yes enhancements and other techy stuff are around but its clear that you can't get the most state-of-the-art tech at Sydney which can be found at Shanghai or Paris.
As for the crimes... from what I've been answering you with... you can pretty much come up with many things. Robbery is still there if you ask me. Its just how its done is changed or upgraded or how you escape and such.

Year? It says on the main story (front page, if you haven't read it, I highly suggest it. ;P). It has been a couple of centuries since the wars began and cities started to fall. =]
Quality of Life? There exist different ranges here. Within the main cities, due to the fact that they are incredibly huge, there exist slums, and rich areas. There are wealthy people and poor people, and the quality of life ranges in these sections of people. You could have a great life, or you could be a beggar on the streets with nothing. This should also answer the question about the classes of people.
Combat? Anything goes. You can utilize any form of combat you so desire. There are people who use hand to hand martial arts, swords, staves, guns, whatever it is you want to use. As long as you utilize it in a way that is not god modding. Also, you can use technology to do supernatural shite too, though you should wait to be a little stronger before you start shooting lightning out of your fingers or creating gravitational fields to crush your enemies. ;P
Technological Advances? Technology is at an incredible high in this world. If you can think of it, it is likely in effect. So, if you want to use some sort of special technology, just ask me if it is feasible, and if it is, I will allow it. There is most certainly cybernetics and bio enchancements all around. One of the characters has a completely synthetic body, so that's a thing. =P
Crime? Robbery and crime definitely still exists, and anything is still possible. If there is tech to stop crime, there is also tech to circumvent the tech that stops crime, you know? =]
