"Careful with Flu- McFlurry, guys!" Arezu called out. She got a weirdly upset look from Shamrock Shake at that, which left him open to McFlurry's surprise attack. "Flurr!" Flurry pounced and the two went sliding haphazardly along the ice Suicune had made in the water along the path's edge. "Itisno-Flurry,getawayfromthewater!" Suicune ran swiftly and blew a cold wind, freezing the sea water solid moments before Flurry and Sham plopped off. He padded along the outside, herding the young ones in.
"This is called the water path, right?" Hakuren asked. He was still disguised as a human girl, not really feeling like he could let it drop despite being away from most people. "It is rather pleasant," Hikaru stated from where she was padding along in the shallow water. "Yeah, it's better than being cooped up with all those people." Ai rubbed against Arezu's leg to show she agreed before walking up ahead of the group.
When they reached the large grassy area of Pattern Bush, Arezu called McFlurry over. Sham followed nervously before stopping over thirty feet away and flicking his ears around nervously. "Hey Flurry, er...McFlurry." McFlurry meowed happily, the tip of its tail flicking. "You're gonna train a bunch so, uh...listen to this drum to get pumped?" No matter how odd it seemed, it would probably help with the training. After, Arezu lit her paper lantern and stuck it in the ground. "Alright, so all the spirits living nearby should get drawn in." She'd heard about ancient ruins and caves and all sorts of stuff, so she figured this was a good place to try it out.
Sure enough, within moments a shuppet fluttered up, despite the bright sunny day. It seemed to be muttering to itself, its form stuttering on the breeze in an angry, jittery pattern. Flurry immediately perked up, opening its mouth and tasting the wind. The ghost's scent hit the roof of the cat's mouth, calling upon some primal instinct that led it to unleash a flurry (heh) of icicles at the ghost. They tore through its cloth body like paper. The Shuppet shrieked, causing every one of Arezu's pokemon to wince and cover their ears. Sham stood up and barked. Flurry shot off another blast of ice, leaping at the Shuppet and bringing it down. It pinned the wailing ghost to the ground and...licked it. Surprised out of its rage, the Shuppet hardly resisted as Flurry absorbed its soul, putting it to rest.
"A-are you okay!?" Sham exclaimed, scrambling to a halt by Flurry's side. "Yeah, bunches! I just got my first soul!" Sham tilted his head in confusion. "Um...okay?""Good job Flurry!""Shut up stupid human," Sham muttered under his breath. Just moments after Flurry downed the Shuppet, a Ghastly floated up from the opposite direction. Flurry whipped around, having sensed it already, and leaped to battle. Since Flurry seemed happy to lead the attack on its own, Arezu settled down in the grass.
After Flurry's rain of ice the Ghastly immediately fired off a hypnosis, floating above Flurry and willing it to fall into an unending slumber. Alarmed, Sham barked loudly then ran over to Arezu.
"Hey stupid human! Wake up and do something, Flurry is dying!" He gave her a headbutt to drive the point home. "Hey, no need to worry, I've got him." Arezu reached out a hand and hovered it over his head to steady him while she fished for a lum berry and tossed it over. Flurry opened its mouth automatically, licking up the berry while Ghastly continued floating around glaring meanly. Flurry burst awake and burst the Ghastly with shards of ice before happily slurping up its soul.

The double force of grass whistle and Sheer Cold wasn't working in his favor but it was a real hard thing to accomplish especially since it instantly defeats a Pokemon. Maybe there was a move like Lock on that Abomasnow could learn. The girl returned the smaller Pokemon and sent out the evolved form, "Cacturne the scarecrow Pokemon. If a traveler is going through a desert in the thick of night, Cacturne will follow in a ragtag group. The Pokemon are biding their time, waiting for the traveler to tire and become incapable of moving."

"You really care about your brother, don't you?" Arezu asked the Lupup that was staring at Flurry as it fought against another Shuppet. Sham startled, nearly falling over in his attempt to scramble away. Arezu chuckled, settling back down as Sham watched Flurry from a distance, occasionally shooting her glances.
Flurry's battle with the shuppet went on in the background, though its use of the move night shade after Flurry's two powder snows meant Arezu needed to throw him a potion before the next ghost showed up.

Down by the water, a Frillish began dancing out of the waves, arms out and reaching for a victim. Flurry said "screw that" and slammed it right back into the ocean with a shadow sneak.

"Woah hey, Flurry, just use shadow sneak!" That was much more effective than all those ice moves. It took out the next ghost to pop up, a litwick, easily.

This paper lantern was certainly doing its job. Any and all ghosts nearby seemed to be creeping in slowly yet surely. It seemed frillish were popular thanks to the nearby sea, and as Flurry took another one out with shadow sneak, she began wondering about how many ships had crashed against this coast.

Shuppet seemed to be in high concentration as well, as another one seemed to have wandered near. As Arezu watched Flurry deal out a shadow sneak on this one as well, she was scared nearly out of her skin by heavy breathing coming from behind her. "H-hey. The creepy girl looked out to where Flurry was smacking yet another Shuppet down with a shadow sneak. Her thick hair bunched up around her head and covered half of her face, though it couldn't cover up the hungry look there. "So I want you to l-leave. So I can conduct hh-haha," she laughed with a weirdly high pitch to it, "Research."

After Arezu kicked her butt, the creepy girl agreed to leave. She left behind a mind plate, mumbling about it being useless now. It wasn't useless to Arezu, however. It made an excellent hold item for Ai. She busied herself healing everyone up before they went back to lazing about the meadow. Sham bit her when she sprayed him with the stinging potion, and she only managed to heal him halfway. She sighed, watching him lick his wounds, as Flurry went back to kicking ghost butt. This time it was a frillish again that she was shadow sneaking into oblivion.

"That was pretty weird," Hakuren commented. Arezu nodded. She'd noted that Hakuren still hadn't dropped his illusion, and had a feeling he wouldn't be dropping it any time soon thanks to that girl. "Well, I'm gonna go exploring," he stated, the invitation obvious to Arezu. "Sorry, I'm gonna keep an eye on Flurry." Hakuren sighed. "Suit yourself." It was odd hearing a girl's voice when she knew it was Hakuren speaking, but Arezu was used to it.
Hakuren walked off on his own, unfollowed until Raphael split off to float along after him on the way down the green path. Arezu turned her attention back to Flurry and his battle against a shuppet.

Arezu watched Sham watch Flurry. Currently the little leopard was taking out a Misdrevous with shadow sneak. Sham seemed surprisingly nervous, despite Flurry having already proved he could handle himself just fine. Arezu belatedly realized that for Sham, what was happening right now would determine whether Flurry remained his "brother" or became...his sister. "Huh. Weird."

Sure enough, Arezu soon caught Sham intercepting ghosts (female ghosts) trying to get near Flurry. He was shooting out disarming voices in all directions, convincing the ghosts to leave without even doing battle while Flurry took on the males, like a duskull that he was currently shadow sneaking in the face.

Flurry zipped around, a mass of shadows and snowflakes, having an absolute ball as he dropped on ghosts unawares. Arezu couldn't even make him out anymore. He certainly wasn't a solid as he dropped down on a howling shuppet.
